January 12th, 2021. Apparently this store must have changed ownership. I arrived at 0830 I had to ask if they forgot about my 1 toasted bagel and coffee. 0910 all 3 employees pointing fingers at each other I thought you done it meanwhile the bagel had been sitting in the corner for 30+ minutes. Young black kid instead of apologizing said " You're welcome" simply cause I asked him to see if they forgot my bagel. I had so much time, Its noticeable the filth the floors have not been swept of mop since Covid-19 started of before...yes, very dissapointing nonetheless. Every client must have waited an average of 30+ minutes I am sure they will think twice about returning. As for whoever these young adults working are at least two may own this place I ask you take my comments not as a bad review but criticism to help you improve your business tactics furthermore, wear a hairnet your long hair appeared you jumped from the bed to the car to work. I really liked it and I got a cinnamon and raisin bagel with cream cheese. If you don't say with cream cheese you won't get it. I'm just saying that because I see a lot of bad reviews with people saying they didn't get cream cheese. My fiancé ordered some without cream cheese. They have great bagel sandwiches, with so much variety to choose from. I ordered the chorizo sunrise sandwich & wow was it packed with flavor. The star was the chorizo sausage patty, combine it with the jalapeño cheese bagel and it tasted delightful. Full of other ingredients like eggs, salsa, and avocado. The bagels themselves were delicious but the sandwiches were a bummer. Had Einstein Bagels at a different location and they were so good that we wanted to try something closer to home. We ordered in store and all three sandwiches had cold meat, the cheese wasn't even melted (still a firm square cut of cheese) and had eaten right outside the store so it wasn't that we had driven home and things got cold on the way either. I placed an order through doordash (not my first time) but it wouldn't give me the option to add cream cheese or even type in the instructions. So I thought I would be able to call and ask them to just add it to my bagel. The worker told me I have to add that on doordash but when I told him it wouldn't give me the option he was silent for a bit and then said "anything else I can help you with". So I wasn't able to get cream cheese, the simplest bagel topping, all because he wanted to charge me. This call was at 1:22pm on 10/26. I work in the food service industry and whenever something like this happens I make sure the customer gets what they want when it's something this simple, especially if its due to a technology error. I went into Einstein bagels today to get the weekend special - $7 for six bagels with one cream cheese. I added three specialty bagels for an up charge of $.70 each. I was overcharged for 1 specialty bagel and went back into the store and they took care of the overcharge. I got home and sliced my green chili bagel and it was raw in the middle! It was disgusting!! I love Einstein Bagels but this store has quality control issues and looking at the Yelp reviews for this location there are several customer service issues as well. I've never had quality control/customer service issues with the Einstein's Bagels on Harvard in Irvine (close to my work). I wish I could give Einstein a 5, but like many others, I think the service has significantly worsened over the years. I came here on a Monday morning for the bagel deal of $13 for a dozen bagels + 2 cream cheeses, and I get that there's always some kind of morning rush, but everything just seemed to be really disorganized. There were also quite a few bagels that were already sold out, which was unfortunately, but understandable because everyone's trying to get the good deal! I will always love a fresh bagel and some good deals, but otherwise, I don't see myself becoming a regular unless changes are made. read more

My drink was also not ready upon my arrival and when I asked for it the girl stared at me blankly. I should have just walked in an ordered, since it took that long to wait on my drink. I couldn't believe how it took 20 minutes to prepare my sandwich, and that all the online orders got prepared and served before those who had been waiting in store for 15 and 20 minutes. Had Einstien bagels in San Diego for the first time and they were great so wanted to get them here so I tried westminster location ordered online with app arrived at location and to make my review short, as the other reviews said this place was dirty as hell, employees look and act confused at 0815am, asked if they had a my To-go order and the kid had no clue I wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt as maybe he's new but come on, then the lady making coffee yells at him its over there, he hands over the box no thank you or anything just says you can pick out spread over there and walks away. Note to those who've never been in the store: there are two lines on opposite ends of the counter. One is to place your order (it's on the far right if you enter the store) and the other (on the far left -- the first line you'll see) is to pay. I didn't know that, so I stood in the first line I saw which was nearest to the entrance. That was my fault. So when my turn came, the guy kept trying to guess my name, and I assumed he thought I was a regular customer or something. So I kept saying, "lol no..." Then he asked me if I wanted a bagel, and I said, "Oh, yes, an everything bagel with schmear." He said I was supposed to order in the other line, but luckily, be still rang me up anyway. Then he started helping the other people in line without telling me how to get my bagel. I walked to the line "to order" and explained that I already paid for the bagel since I didn't know there were separate lines to pay and order. The cashier looked very confused, so I showed her my receipt and explained again lol. She said, "You didn't get your bagel yet?" Why would I still be there if I had my bagel already??? Anyway, I said, "No," so then she started to move over to the toaster area and told me they were still working on my bagel. After about two minutes, she informed me there were no more everything bagels. I repeated the question incredulously as it was only 10am... How can they run out of the best bagel already? Sadly, I settled on an onion bagel. Also, the process of handing over bagels is really informal (very unlike Panera where the server personally gives you the plate or bag and wishes you a good day). This place is FILTHY! If you stop in look at the wall behind the counter by the toaster and microwave. There is grease lint on the wall and on top of the toaster. I mean this place would probably be shut down it's so dirty. Place clean up place because I moved here from New England and I love the Einstein Bros there. Service is really slow too. Service was quite appalling and the organization of this store is horrendous. "Order" is on the right, "Pay" is on the left, and "Pick-up" is right in between. And the next thing I knew, an employee told everyone to go outside as we reached the max occupancy due to COVID - she repeated it twice. Einstein Bros bagels has been here for awhile. They're next to the chick fil a. Parking can be a little hard sometimes especially with the Korean place opening up next door which is very popular. The coffee is not bad here. I mostly come for the bagels though. My two favorites are the lox for $4.99. I also really like the ham and Swiss extra toasted. I have been living nearby for going on 3 years and ordering here some over the years. I also noticed a decline in quality and service like other recent reviewers. I'm only making this review because the last three times I have gone there, they have messed up the order badly. I order the same thing every time, breakfast bagel on plain bagel. They gave me jallepeno again which I cant eat. Because the previous time they messed up my order and I asked them to please fix it, they blamed it on me and then gave me a half assed replacement. It sucks that I cant rely on my neighborhood bagel place. It's management not just the employees. The employees seemed checked out, and probably sick of dealing with mean customers for low wages. Went into the store looking for a basic bagel sandwich and a cranberry bagel with cream cheese. I ordered, paid and patiently waited for my name to be called. They proceeded to serve every single person in the store, including five people who came in and ordered after me. The manager then continued to yell out an order for "Omar". I'm not "Omar" but I am black so he assumed I was "Omar". After about ten minutes of him repeatedly looking direct at me and yelling for "Omar"; he rudely asked "are you waiting on an order or something". I replied "yes". His response was "what's the name". I gave him my name, and he then checked the computer to see if I had indeed ordered something. He was shocked to find out that I did and told the people making the bagels behind him. They replied "oh shit" and made my order quickly. I wasn't greeted with an apology just a "here". I had to ask for the coffee that I ordered to go with my breakfast and he had to check the ticket again to see if I had purchased one. First time coming here. Used the app which there is a choice for curbside pickup. Chose my time which was 9:10am. Got there at 9:10 and put on my hazards as instructed. There is no specific parking for Einstein or curbside pickup parking. All the parking spots were taken in front of the store. I waited till 9:18 with my hazards on and figured no one was coming out. I had to go inside and my bagel was sitting on top of the counter space. Why offer curbside pickup on the app when you clearly don't follow it. When I went inside to ask about the curbside pickup I was told my order was in the middle of a rush and they got busy. I'm sure the mornings will always be busy. Don't offer it or at least have designated parking for curbside so they can see what customers are there to pick up their food. I was really hoping the bagel would be good but I didn't get a toasted bagel like I ordered and by the time I got it home, it was so chewy, inedible and cold. I was craving a bagel for breakfast and stopped in here before heading to the grocery store I got a thintastic everything bagel with strawberry schmear. The thintastic bagel is a thin bagel. I had a hard time enjoying it because it was super salty =(. Especially the little seeds on top of the bagel. The cream cheese schmear was good though. For $2.50 for a thin bagel with cream cheese, I thought it was expensive. It was definitely not worth the wait. Speaking of the wait, I came at 9am and it was pack. I had to wait in the long line to order and then the long line to pay. I can't imagine those that have to wait for their food before work. You would definitely be late if you don't have time. Also, I was not confused, but a lot of customers were confused as to where to order and pay. There were people just standing around waiting for their food but near the lines.
