Stopped by because I signed up for their app and they sent me a coupon for a free bagel and smear with any purchase if I used the mobile app. The app was easy to use. There are a lot of flavor options. Some are an extra fee including the one I opted for, the hash brown bagel. I ordered it toasted with plain cream cheese and a bottle of Diet Coke. They do not have fountain soda, which is something I love. The first thing I noticed was the bagel was cut how I liked it. It was nicely toasted and the cream cheese smear was heavy handed and delicious. The hash brown topping was good but it wasn't through out the bagel. Made me wish I had tried the French toast option. The size of the bagel was large and it was very filling . The prices here are on the higher side but I noticed I have some great deals in app including a birthday offer for a free egg sandwich with any purchase. This Einstein Bagel shop in the Big Oak Shopping Center, Lower Makefield, PA, (No. It's not in Yardley), is well set up for Covid Protocols. It is clean, prepared for ordering and takeaway transactions, and even prebags the tops and stirrers for coffee cups. First time I've seen that. The service was prompt and friendly, and I saw no sign of the negativity referenced in other reviews. Unfortunately, unlike their namesake Albert E., the bagels themselves are not as intelligently conceptualized. Their skin is soft rather than offering a crispness found in more traditional NY style bagels. This suggests the boiling in lye or brine was skipped or inadequate to foster the differing texture signature of the better bagels in the Universe. The overall taste is decent, and they do cover the surface with plenty of toppings (roasted onion flakes for me). Yet, missing a key step in the process relegates their product to strictly second tier status, when it would have been so easy to get it right. They do have plenty of options and can throw together a reasonably good sandwich. So, if you don't mind the lack of textural differentiation, you will find the grab, bite and chew satisfying. Otherwise, you will discover yourself wishing for a more complete effort. Their coffee is actually better than the bagels. read more

The bagels were god-awful, no flavor and stale. We got the bacon egg and cheese on an everything bagel and a garden avocado bagel in an everything bagel. Also, we were missing our hashbrowns, and had to go back inside to ask for them. The manager came over instantly and said "what's wrong with your order" like this has happened a bunch before and when I told her she rolled her eyes and yelled at the worker to make them. Unsanitary filth! I went here to get a bagel for my husband and a hot tea. As one of the two young girls was roasting the bagel the tray fell on the floor. They proceeded to put the bagel back in the tray and put it in the toaster. I immediately said excuse me that was on the floor you cannot put my food on that. Place is run inefficiently - Girl is helping customer ahead of me , doesn't have a box so she disappears for awhile. Rather than just grab a bag to get all the bagels or signal for someone else to come out , she just disappears . Then a lady comes out and her demeanor is of the kind that this bagel place is the last place she'd rather be and even saying hello to her would be an annoyance . So as the line is forming , I finally get to order my bagels toasted . When I get one out in my car it's not even warm. It's like they rushed it through to get the next customer out the door . It's like what's the point ? If you wanted something toasted does that look or feel warm? (215) 321-6500) on the 28th via the Mobile app.  I picked up the package and as I was driving we went to eat the two bagels we ordered.  There was LIVE roach in the bag.  We pulled over and dumped out the contents in the Roche started running around the side of the road. I called the Yardley location to advise them what it happened. They didn't seem to care at all. No offer of replacing the food or refund.  I have never been so disgusted. I stop here for morning bagels sometimes when I'm in the area for a visit, but I choose this place purely out of convenience and proximity. I've had various bagel types, cream cheese spreads, and breakfast sandwiches here. And, overall everything is average. It's a chain, and it's an Einstein's, so I don't expect anything fantastic. I'm not a fan of their breakfast sandwiches, as they never feel freshly cooked to me - probably because they aren't. They are made with microwaved eggs. I grew up on authentic NY bagels, so I find their bagels barely passable for a fresh bagel place. I do, however really like their cream cheese schmears. Lots of flavors to choose from, and the texture is perfect. I always ask for extra schmear on my bagel, and they will typically oblige. Their coffee is just ok - about a step above what you would make in your hotel room in my opnion, so if I have time I typically go elsewhere for my morning coffee. This particular Einstein's seems generally clean whenever I stop in. The employees are generally friendly, though the counter staff sometimes appear to have no idea what they are doing, and I once had to wait to pay for my food while the cashier was finishing up a conversation with a friend. I don't find that to be the best customer service. Overall, it does fine for me for breakfast if I'm in a rush but it isn't my first choice. read more

It's a chain bagel place, so the bagels are ok. Not the best, but still decent. IMO it's exactly what you would expect from a chain, but WAYYY better than DD (yuck). I actually enjoy their lunch sandwiches better than breakfast, the tasty turkey is delicious! The coffee for me is weak, but I'm used to drinking Starbucks coffee so if that's too strong for you then you will probably like the coffee here. My daughter is obsessed with the strawberry banana smoothie. The staff at this location are great, everyone is friendly and helpful, and they take debit cards, which a few other bagel places around here do not. read more

The bagels here are too soft and doughy, and they lack the characteristic exterior that makes a bagel what it is. I have had the sesame, honey wheat, pumpernickel, and pumpkin. The sesame was the best out of the selection since it was slightly less doughy and had a semblance of a shell. The honey wheat was just way too doughy. I as able to have a breakfast wrap that was very tasty and my husband had a reuben he was pretty happy with. On a rare occasion I don't have to take my kids to school I get to swing by Einsteins on the way to work. French Toast bagel with maple syrup shmear, bacon, egg, and cheese from Einsteins is a typical EBC sandwich but with the added sweetness makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside... and fatter, but who cares it's the holidays, especially as it gets colder. If you don't like sweet bagels (pronounced with a long A and not behgel) with bacon and eggs and cheese then we can not be friends. The maple cream cheese is what makes this sammich awesome and it keeps my hands smelling like heaven all day long. Drakkar Noir no more. My new cologne is Au de Maplé. While living in the burbs I don't get many options for a quick stop and go breakfast but this is one of my favorite sandwiches when I have a chance to drive by. read more

The lady and the counter was mumbling and all I heard is cream cheese and she charged me for the bagel. I asked her if it was free bagel day with any purchase and she said you had to buy cream cheese, which I didn't want, but because it was only a dollar or so extra I just bought the bagel. Don't even bother with this place, the customer service is appalling! I have been here over a dozen times only because of how close to work it is and every time it only gets worse. The one woman in particular who works there almost every day has got to be the most miserable person I have met there. On my most recent visit, there was a young lady working with her and when an older woman asked her a simple question concerning her order that was showing incorrectly on the screen, she snapped at her with a nasty attitude and then looked at the other woman working next to her and just rolled her eyes and gave a scoff as if it was such a bother to answer one simple question. Then the older woman went to get her coffee and they were out of the kind she wanted so she went to tell the woman behind the counter and she replies with "yeah we know, we obviously haven't got around to it yet" with an attitude. LIKE WHAT DID THIS LADY DO TO Y'ALL TO TREAT HER LIKE CRAP!?? Meanwhile, I'm standing in line waiting over 10 minutes just to have my order taken because apparently neither one of them know how to multitask. The food is so-so, the coffee isn't great either. My fiancé and I come here often for breakfast. Today we went and the shift manager Kim told us that the machine was broken for the drink we would like. We ordered something else, no problem, but just as we were about to finish our meal, Kim came out and gave us the drink we originally wanted. Great service and a pleasant surprise!
