    Marrow fat peas
    Lisa B.

Reuben sandwich with fries. The sandwich was tasty but due to the nature of a Reuben, it was quite wet. They use good quality corned beef. The fries were delicious. Drunken Shepard's pie. Kevin had never had shepherds pie and really enjoyed it. I didn't taste it, but it looked delicious. It comes with garlic bread. Buffalo Cobb salad. What an interesting concept for a Cobb salad. The buffalo sauce and the blue cheese dressing went really well together on the salad. The salad was full of fresh ingredients. Marrow fat peas. I was really intrigued by this dish because I had had mushy in England in 1985 and haven't been able to find comparable ones since. I looked up what marrow fat peas are, and they are peas that were just left longer on the vine. I thought they were tasty with a good tooth. Kevin wasn't a big fan. I had a Trademark West Coast IPA while I was waiting for my food to be prepared. It was yummy and a perfect seven ABV. There's a very nice beer selection all around. I received very good service from Rudy. My order was correct and had everything I ordered/requested in the bag. The pub was quite busy for 2:30 in the afternoon. Lots of people enjoying the weather and good company. A clean space with a big bar. Parking was not easy. Just takes patience and good fortune.

The hosts are attentive and always top-off your water and soda cups. My go-to's are the Buffalo Wings, Fish and Chips and any of the burgers. Their fries are always crispy. It's a great place to watch games because they have plenty of TVs. EJ's is definitely a step above the standard pubs I've been into. I appreciate that their restrooms are clean and their floors aren't sticky.

They have a baby changing station. Period. Nice work EJs (for including different types of families).

AUTHENTIC BUFFALO WINGS IN LONG BEACH If you're craving real Buffalo wings, you HAVE to check out EJ's Pub in Bixby Knolls. I lived in Buffalo, NY--home of the original Buffalo wing (shoutout to the Anchor Bar)--so trust me when I say... EJ's wings are the real deal. Perfectly crispy, sauced just right, and packed with that classic Buffalo flavor. This is the only place I'll go for wings. Pair 'em with an ice-cold beer and you're golden. oh and the servers always amazing as well!#BuffaloWings #EJsPub #LongBeachEats #WingsAndBeer #FoodieApproved #BixbyKnollsEats

EJ's Pub is a 3.5 star spot that I'm happily rounding up to 4, and that extra bump is all because of one person and that's Tanner. He's easily one of my favorite bartenders in Long Beach. Always great service, super friendly and attentive, heavy hand on the pours (no complaints there), and he really knows how to make you feel at home. 5 stars for Tanner every time. Me and my girl came in to watch some football and decided to get a little adventurous with their huge menu instead of sticking to our usual favorites. One thing you cannot skip at EJ's though is the wings. They always hit. I have them do a special mix of buffalo sauce and lemon pepper seasoning and it comes out perfect every time. Straight up fire . For the "let's try something new" part of the night, my girl ordered the chili and she enjoyed it. I went with the fish and chips, which was a miss for me. I probably should've gone with the cod version and might've had better luck there, but the onion rings on the side were tasty. We also tried the jalapeño poppers that were a special of the day and they ended up being pretty forgettable. We ran through rounds and rounds of drinks and Tanner never missed a beat. We even tried a more adventurous cocktail, the Sexy Alligator, and it was actually pretty good. Overall EJ's has great bar food, great service, and a laid back vibe. Between the wings, the drinks, and Tanner behind the bar, it's an easy spot to pull up, watch a game, and feel like a regular even if you're not.

French dip no au jus with order.
    Brenda S.

Ordered online using DoorDash for food delivery. We ordered a pub burger with grilled onions and a french dip. After opening up sealed bag, the burger didn't have any onions at all, and the french dip had no au jus. Pretty plain without the "dip"! Called and spoke to manager and wanted only the French dip covered so offered. $6 refund for the au jus. His response was, "well you got the sandwich." Obviously, he has never eaten a French dip before. Finally gave us a gift card we can pick up (another day) for the difference.

I've been coming to this location for a couple of years now and I must say it is absolutely delicious. Parking is either in the back or in front of the location I have never had a problem with finding parking My favorites are the wings atomic by far my fav. Service here never disappoints everyone is so attentive your glass will never go empty. I highly recommend. Will be going back for many more years to come.

Food, drinks and service were all a 10/10! It wasn't too crowded, a bit noisy and a few locals that were all very welcoming. Nolan was our server and he was very attentive. This is the perfect place to watch a game! I personally have enjoyed coming to EJ's. My friend had a black peppered chicken Caesar salad and it was delicious as well!

So first I'm going to start with the bad... The bathroom situation is absolutely positively terrible There's two bathrooms both are single occupancy so if there's more than three people that you need to use the restroom you're going to have to wait. Now we can get to the good everything else is good The service was wonderful. Really nice staff. I had and I highly suggest The pork belly skewers I also had the Irish egg rolls which were fantastic. Main dish that I had was the French dip... You absolutely clean your plate at this place... Just go to the bathroom before you go

Poutine with pork belly was legit. Omg I don't think I've had better. Why have I been sleeping on this place?! So good I would've licked the plate but I didn't want to embarrass myself. Lol. Bestie ordered the brownie and was delish. Service was so attentive and genuine. This place gives me the warm and fuzzies. Great place to watch some games and just unwind. Place has been updated since I've last been here about 10 years ago 10 thumbs up!

We like to sit at the bar and have a cocktail while waiting for our food. The wings are always a fave to order when you are craving a good hot wing. We have tried most of their sandwiches and the Reuben will not disappoint. The meatloaf is another favorite. We saw a few patrons order the chicken and pasta dish and it looked amazing. Will definitely have to try!

Our mozzarella sticks finally arrived after a long wait, only to have no cheese inside them. We then waited another 30 minutes for a replacement order that never came. When we expressed our frustration about the excessive wait, the male bartender and the woman wearing the USA shirt did their best to make the situation better, and I appreciated their effort. What was most disappointing happened at the end. The waitress who had originally seated us actually mocked my friend when he said the wait time was ridiculous. She laughed and repeated the word "ridiculous" in a sarcastic way instead of addressing our concerns. It was incredibly unprofessional and disrespectful. It's disappointing when a loyal customer is treated that way. I had much higher expectations for this place, and I truly believe the situation could have been handled better!

I love currywurst, the iconic German street food consisting of a grilled or fried pork sausage sliced into bite-sized pieces and topped with a curry ketchup sauce, typically served with fries or a bread roll. Having eaten plenty of currywurst throughout Germany, I can confidently say this is one of the better versions I've had in the U.S. The fries are excellent - crispy on the outside without being dry. The sausage has that satisfying "snap" when you bite into it, although I wish it had a bit more herbal seasoning and a richer, more savory interior. It's also slightly drier than my ideal version, but that's a minor nitpick. Overall, it's comforting, well-executed, and an easy recommendation if you've never tried currywurst before. BBB Burger - 4/5. I was pleasantly surprised by this burger. The combination of bacon, a juicy beef patty, blue cheese, and crispy shallots is a winner. The bold flavors complement each other surprisingly well without any single ingredient overpowering the others. There's also a nice contrast in textures: the crunch of the shallots, the tenderness of the beef patty, the crisp bacon, and the soft yet sturdy brioche bun all come together beautifully. The bun deserves special mention for holding everything together without becoming soggy. Homemade Apple Strudel - 3.5/5. Kudos to Rasselbock for serving the strudel with vanilla ice cream instead of overly processed whipped cream--it makes for a much better pairing. The apple filling strikes a nice balance, offering enough sweetness without becoming cloying. The blend of tart apples, warm spices, and buttery pastry creates a more nuanced and satisfying dessert. My only complaint is that I'd prefer the pastry to be a little thicker and flakier to provide more texture and contrast with the filling. Rasselbock Schnitzel - 4/5. The schnitzel is nicely breaded and fried, with a crisp, golden crust. I do wish the meat were a bit juicier, but the flavorful cream sauce helps compensate and pairs very well with the schnitzel. It's a satisfying, well-prepared dish that I'd happily order again. Lastly, they offer a solid selection of German and German-style draft beers, making this a great spot for anyone looking to enjoy authentic German comfort food with a good pint. Overall, Rasselbock delivers a satisfying dining experience and is well worth a visit if you're craving German cuisine.

Which made sense considering how well he knew how the drinks were made. He was attentive and checked on us often to make sure everything was going well. The Old Fashioned was one of the smoothest and best I've probably ever had. My nephew ordered the Ube Painkiller after Nate described how it was made. I had a sip, and the ube flavor really came through without overpowering the drink and it was perfectly matched with the dark rum, which Nate said came from the Caribbean. The Brussels sprouts had a nice mix of tender and crispy pieces that gave additional texture. The calamari was tender and the pesto style sauce paired real good with it. The Thai curry sea bass was flavorful, flaky, and had the right amount of spice. The cioppino had a rich shellfish flavor in the broth and I appreciated that the tomato base didn't have such an acidic taste. We also shared the tomahawk, which was juicy, cooked perfectly, and had a sprinkle of coarse salt that really brought out the flavor. Overall, we had a great experience.
