We enjoyed this small restaurant in an intimate setting. They have street parking. The Pad Thai was made very fresh as was the mango and sticky rice dessert. The service was good and friendly. Next time, I will try the thai tea.

    Soda costs $4.95

$4.95 for a Diet Coke!!! I won't be back unless they lower their soda price to $3.00 or less and get in line with other restaurants of this caliber and ilk.

Ekamai delivery is always quick and tasty! We can't skip the Massaman because it is delicious and we love the brown rice option also. We always get a side of steamed vegetables and love their soups also!

Decent Thai food, not the best though. Great location though with a patio across from sugarhouse park, and a cozy home feel to it. I got the fish cakes which the server said were made in house. I thought they were ok.. very fishy which I didn't mind for the first couple but started to get old. Also some parts were a little cold still. The salmon and panang was much better, but also could've been warmer though it wasn't cold. The panang was rich and creamy, and the salmon was pretty good. It was slightly tough on the outside, not quite breading but the inside was still soft and flaky for the most part. I wasn't too impressed with this visit but if I was nearby craving Thai food I would try them again and there were some other things I wanted to try on their chef specialties menu section, particularly the Short Rib Massamun Currry.

We went for a weekday dinner here. While we liked some items, others were not that good. What I liked was drunken noodles and the garlic noodles with prawns. The green and yellow curries were okay and in fact green color was borderline white and lacked taste. Service is prompt.

Red Curry with Chicken. Plus a fake fireplace providing fake heat.

Located inside a house (yes, the door is a residential door that opens and stays open unless you pull it to close behind you). Inside still has a home-y structure. There was a legitimate unused fireplace, but they decided a tiny fake plug in fireplace would fit the vibe of the house better (as seen in my attached photo). A room divider separated the dining area from the kitchen. I ordered the red curry, and it was a tad bit too sweet for my taste buds. The amount of chicken I received in the curry was more than enough, it was more than the liquid part of the curry itself. But I do love meat, so I see that as a positive. To my surprise, there was no option to make the curry spicy which I thought Thai food was known for its spice.

Literally the worst place I've been to in a long time I heard good things but was nothing but disappointment appetizers were microwaved I had some fish curry too and it was literally the fishiest salmon I've ever had. Never come here trust me you just saving yourself I was sick for 2 days after.

It's nice to have Thai place in the neighborhood for takeout. Our meals have always been good and the wait is never long.

If you have read any of my reviews, you know that I am a Thai food fanatic and I'm going to share a restaurant with you that I have a great passion for. When I travel through Salt Lake I actually schedule my flight so I can eat at Sara Thai Kitchen. Ohhhh mama. The Tom Yum is to die for. Deep flavor and just enough heat to make me get a good wave of heat from the tip of my toes to the top of my lip. Yup. And the presentation is lovely - a small chaffing dish with a fire under it so it's always bubbling hot. Also, do not pass up the lollipop chicken. It's my favorite starter- I have them box two and I eat one. The crab fried rice is Bkue fin crab- real deal. I swear they sprinkle some magic on it. You cannot go wrong with anything on the menu- but be sure to finish off with mango sticky rice. It's the perfect ending to a perfect date. You can thank me later.

The food is masterfully prepared by a couple and the place is super clean. The food is truly amazing. I had the pad Thai with chicken and it was perfectly cooked, the perfect proportion of noodles to chicken and veggies. Since we ordered take out, the peanuts came separately, so they didn't get soggy until I ate. My husband ordered the chicken Thai fried rice and it was also delicious! A lot of chicken and veggies and seasoning was great. The mango sticky rice was fabulous! Mango was super fresh and sweet and served with the right amount of coconut milk. Highly recommend this place! Will be back when in SLC again!

Unfortunately I was careless with my plate and all the delicious sauce dripped out into the plastic bag that held the plate of food by the time I got back to work to eat it. Today I went back and made sure I was more careful with my plate and decided to eat at the few tables set up outside their storefront. I ordered the Khao Soi again. It tastes like a coconut milk based curry. Something about this curry is different. I can't quite put my finger on it, but it's probably one of my favorite things to try if a Thai restaurant offers it. Slightly sweet and savory. The chicken thighs (2 thighs) were falling off the bone tender. On my last visit, I got beef and chicken. This time I got chicken only. It comes with green beans, rice, and a spring roll for a little over $12. Really great flavor. I killed my whole plate. The shop is very small. There is a small bar type table to dine in with 3 stools. Just the kitchen, a cooler with drinks, and a small standing area to order at. It's mostly an order to-go place. I'll definitely be back to try other dishes.
