Overall it was a good choice to eat here. I'm traveling from Kansas City and I like trying local places when I'm on the road. This place would have gotten 5 stars but the salad was super plain and the ranch dressing didn't taste that good. However, for my entree, I ordered the Ravioli Di Portobello and it was amazing. Seven perfect portobello ravioli smothered in a wonderful homemade cream sauce. Very very good. Will come back next time I'm in town for sure. read more

We here as a last resort on a Saturday homecoming weekend when everything else was absolutely jammed. Should've been her first choice. The large burrito was excellent, and the topping sauce was slightly different from what I was used to, but it was better. Nachos were very good. Next time, we'll try the Italian, which is also supposed to be excellent. Will definitely come back as we particularly like to support smaller, locally owned, and family run businesses. read more

I had a burrito a while back that was pretty good, but not memorable. The ground beef nachos I just had today on the other hand, were out of this world tasty. The salsa, cheese, and beef all blended together quite well. Huge fan. I can't wait to try the rest. The whole multiple ethnicity restaurants are usually a bit questionable. Well, they have the Mexican down right, not sure I'll try the Italian based on how good those nachos were. read more

First my order was wrong. We were short one order of nachos. Once the food was ready, my three very hungry daughters took their food to eat. Unfortunately my middle daughter turned around and tripped on uneven cement and one of her two tacos fell to the ground. I went back to the window to notify the staff that we dropped a taco on the ground and was met with a shoulder shrug. Neither an offer of napkins to clean the mess, nor an offer of an additional taco for my hungry daughter. Sorry, my business will never go to them again. And I will tell everyone who inquires about their business how subpar the customer service is. read more

Great quiet little place! Only one waitress and two cooks in kitchen that I saw, but food and service were great! Very amicable waitress who knew a lot about the menu. Two of us had Mexican food (Hangover Torta and Vegetable Fajitas made vegan by request) and the other two had Italian (Shrimp Scampi and Tuscan Chicken Marsala). All four of us vowed to return! Little hole in the wall Mexican/Italian joint. Busy at 7pm on a Wednesday - usually a good sign. I ordered 2 fish tacos and 2 shrimp tacos to go. Super friendly guy running the till, chef knows what he's doing. Had my order to go in about 10 minutes. Shrimp tacos were good, the fish - out of this world!!! $20 for 4 tacos and a beer while I waited for my order. Excellent value - gives the 2 spots near downtown a run for their money. Definitely worth a try - looks like the chef plays with the menu a bit and had 4 different off menu Italian specials. There were a handful of people eating noodles so the Italian must be good as well. read more

We tried this place because a family member raved about how amazing it was. He was not wrong! Very good. Shrimp tacos- very tasty, shrimp done just right. Not too spicy Ground beef taco- pretty spicy Chicken tacos - very good flavor Pork tacos - very good flavor My daughter got the fettuccine Alfredo and loved it as well. I've never been to Mexican and Italian restaurant, but definitely awesome! The salsa kind of tasted more Italian than Mexican but still very good! read more

Escape the mall food and fast food avenue and keep driving a half mile further from Bay Park mall and authentic Mexican and Italian food awaits you! The owners are welcoming and attentive and your food is cooked to order fresh and plated for your enjoyment. The dining room is cozy and everything is very clean. Our food was fresh and smelled amazing we could hear the meat sizzling as it was prepared in an open concept kitchen area but shielded enough for you to enjoy your dining experience. We did not eat italian food this trip but will definitely return and enjoyed our perfectly seasoned meat for our tacos order and the Mexican rice was delicious and very well priced! read more

What a find!! Family owned business, the burrito I had was made with such fresh ingredients. Everything is homemade to grandma's recipes. The salsa was the best we've eaten! We were a party of 7 and everyone enjoyed their meal. Not one complaint. Service was friendly and prompt. Will make the a must stop when in the area!!! read more

Awesome find! Food is terrific - best burrito I've ever had! Hubbie had the Enchiladas and he loved them also! Try the Horchata rice milk drink-so yummy and refreshing! Also shared the fried ice cream. It is big enough to share and so good! We are from Michigan and don't have as good of a Mexican restaurant near us. Wish we lived near this one! read more

El Bistro Taco is one of my all time FAVORITE restaurants! They have a huge menu and some really yummy tacos(: I can't go a week without eating here, they are such a great go-to restaurant for my friends and I and they have such kind and helpful workers!
