I've been here before, but I think there may be a new change in ownership as the menus were altered. (See the pictures) I mean C'mon! At least switch to a paper menu, but to use old school white out?!? In my eyes, it's always about appearance so when I received my water, it was in a plastic cup with a lid and a straw, making me feel like a child. Upon waiting for my dinner, a large party of eight were receiving their food. There were two waitresses bring each dinner out, one by one. This family waited to dip in until all were served. But I must say, I did enjoy my meal to say the least. If I should bring someone here, it's not to impress them about the overall appearance.

I always like trying new places and ordering a super burrito. I believe if a restaurant can make a good burrito, usually everything else is also pretty good. El Brinquito had a great burrito but Service was not the best and I found a hair in one of the salsa's. The Carnitas burrito was a decent size and tasted delicious. The atmosphere of the place was a bit odd, it seemed under staffed and the staff didn't seem super engaged, overall the experience and food was good.

¡Muy delicioso! Order at the counter then find a seat OR sit and be served. They recently remodeled their outdoor patio and it is very accommodating. It has been a little cold for me but it'll be a great spot when the weather warms up a bit. Service is always friendly, goes at a very relaxed pace. Chips and salsa are a great start. Modelo on draft. Carnitas is hubby's favorite. Carne asada for our son. Chile relleno and cheese enchiladas for me. Red sauce. Simple. Delicious. Telenovellas, mariachi karaoke or news playing on the TV. Nothing fancy, just everything comfortable about this place that has become our go-to spot.

Brought this when asked for an Arnold Palmer...very weird

The food is soo good here and has been consistent. My husband and I frequent this place when we want some good, inexpensive Mexican food. I'm giving them 3 stars today because when I ordered an Arnold Palmer (which I've done every time before) I was brought a can of Arizona Lite Half & Half Iced Tea Lemonade. I can't understand this. They don't have Iced Tea and Lemonade to put together in a cup? Again, that's what I've gotten in the past so I'm taken aback that I received a can of Arizona this time. Then we asked for ice water and were brought cups of ice. I'm thinking they were just distracted by a larger table of people, but still very weird experience today. But I'll still come back. The food is still excellent.

    Shrimp tacos!

There was a Seinfeld episode where Jerry and George discussed salsa being the #1 condiment in the world. They said it's because people liked to say "salsa." I say people must have ate at El Brinquito. The salsa is amazing and better yet, they serve two! One is a bit on the fiery side and the other is just chunky goodness. The chips are served warm and have just a hint of salt. And let me tell ya, it goes quick because they are so addictive. Salsa isn't the only thing they serve that's good. I had shrimp tacos and they were killer! The shrimp were big, cooked perfectly and topped with a fantastic guacamole. The corn tortillas were oh so fresh too. Service is very polite and food comes out quick. Defined check this place out. Go for the tacos and stay for the salsa, I say.

Saw this restaurant on the way out of a visit to the Harbor Freight store that's nearby. I'm always on the lookout for new restaurants and experiences. This place was ok. The service was ok but attentiveness could improve a bit (considering there were only about five people in the restaurant at the time around 1:30 pm). The food was ok as well. The ingredients were fresh and tortillas were homemade and fresh as well.

Arrived around 6pm , plenty of parking and indoor seating. Ordered : Asada Quesadilla 5/5 Flan 4.5/5 Asada 49er burrito 3.5/5 Tacos ( El pastor) 4.5/5 Horchata 5/5 We got three bags of chips and salsa with Utensils and napkins all set to go . Extremely wonderful. The service was also a 5/5 our Order was complete with no complaints. The flan was really good . Nice thick and creamy . Delicious flavor. I would buy again Asada Quesadilla was absolutely the best . The asada is marinated very well . Stuffed completely with met and cheese . The best thing I ordered besides the flan . 49er burrito was HUGE ! Stuffed with meat lettuce rice and maybe beans I seen lots more meat . Definitely filling. Topped with sour cream and guacamole. Red sauce was a bit salty . the meat was full of flavor with a hint of lime . Definitely a 50/50 with Meat and Rice . I don't think there was cheese in it just on top of the red sauce . Tacos: 4.5 The pastor meat was very tasty. All the meat here is full of flavor, nothing is bland . Horchata was very good and I love that's it wasn't to sweet . Looking forward to trying out more on their menu.

Both the enchilada and taco were generously stuffed full of meat. Tender tortillas, and the beans were perfectly creamy. Everything tasted incredibly fresh, like it was made with real care and pride. They said that any dish you leave the meat out of is vegetarian, and they also have the McDougal section and vegan sections on the menu. We were given complimentary chips and salsa. The salsas were quite good and flavorful: one mild and two spicy. We ordered the chilaquiles omelet and the heuvos divorciado. After the tasty salsas, we were surprised at how bland the meals were. The rice was very good, and the beans were good, but the omelet, the guacamole, the eggs, red and green sauces were all incredibly bland. I'm guessing most of the rave reviews are not for vegetarian dishes? The outdoor seating is only a few tables out front, but it was still a nice option on a beautiful day and there was plenty of shade.

So we finally did it. We planned our entire day around a meal. No spontaneity. Just commitment, a full tank of gas, and moderately managed expectations. The verdict? The food is genuinely tasty, the service is warm and friendly, and the outdoor seating is generous enough that you don't feel like you're eating on top of strangers. All good things. Now, about the bathroom situation. To reach it, you must walk through the kitchen. Yes, the kitchen. The actual working kitchen, where people are actively cooking your food. It feels a little like being a contestant on a show you didn't audition for -- part awkward intruder, part curious food tourist. On the upside, you get a front-row peek at how everything is made, which is either charming or anxiety-inducing depending on how much you like to know about your food before it arrives. We chose charming. Was it worth the drive? Yeah, it was.

This unassuming roadside restaurant,…read moreoffering dining exclusively outdoors, delivers the kind of culinary experience that reminds you why some of the best food is often found in the most unexpected places. The dining concept is refreshingly casual yet incredibly efficient. Guests place their order at the counter before making their way to the outdoor picnic seating area tucked behind the restaurant. The staff then delivers the food directly to the table, creating a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere that perfectly complements the rustic roadside setting. The menu itself is intentionally concise, which immediately signals a kitchen focused more on execution and quality than excess. It also appeared to feature a rotating seasonal selection, and with the beginning of summer came a fresh seasonal menu showcasing vibrant and authentic flavors of summer. We decided on the beef tacos, and they were truly outstanding. I wish I could remember what type of beef they were. The plate arrived simply presented with three street-style tacos accompanied by fresh lime wedges and crisp radish slices. While minimal in appearance, the flavors were anything but simple. The corn tortillas were among the best I have experienced, lightly crisped, with a delicate texture and subtle depth of flavor that elevated the entire dish. The beef was exceptionally tender, moist, and perfectly seasoned without overpowering the natural richness of the meat. Finished with diced white onions, fresh cilantro, and a vibrant green salsa, every component felt thoughtfully balanced. With a squeeze of lime over the top, the first bite delivered that rare and memorable reaction every food enthusiast hopes for, an immediate "wow" moment. What makes this restaurant particularly impressive is its authenticity and restraint. Rather than trying to do everything, it focuses on doing a select number of dishes extraordinarily well. That dedication to quality is clearly reflected in the numerous accolades displayed throughout the property, including multiple years of Michelin recognition. Who would expect that one of the most memorable Mexican dining experiences in the region would be found at a humble roadside establishment in Sonoma? For anyone visiting the area, this restaurant is an absolute must-visit destination. I look forward to returning soon to further explore the menu and experience more of what this remarkable culinary gem has to offer.
