Today, Sunday, April 19th, was my second visit to this place. My first visit was about three weeks ago on a Tuesday, and it was amazing--the food and drinks were a 10/10. Unfortunately, this second visit was a mess. There were only two waitresses for a half-full restaurant, and they seemed overwhelmed and unhappy. Our food came out in stages: the first order arrived about 30 minutes after we sat down (cold tacos gobernador), the second order came about 20 minutes later, and the third dish (ceviche de camarón con mango) didn't arrive until an hour and a half after we were seated. Our waitress (the one not wearing glasses) only came to our table twice during the two hours we were there, and one of those times she never brought the drink I ordered. I had to flag down other staff just to get what I needed. Not sure if this was just a one-off experience, but there's definitely room for improvement. read more

I typically wait a few days, sometimes even a few week to review a location, but I had to write one after today's visit. Spotted this restaurant earlier this week driving by. Husband and I were in the mood for mariscos so we decided to check this place out. It's surprisingly spacious, with a stage and enormous screen playing music videos of modern to old-school banda and similar 90s music. Our server Javi was great, attentive, and hooked us up with the Thursday drink special, Palomas. We went all in on the seafood. Husband ordered the mango habanero aguachiles, I got the mango ceviche, and our son the kids quesadilla. The taste... oh man. The mango ceviche might be the best I've had. There was one other spot that had ceviche similar in taste, but shut down, unfortunately. It was perfectly balanced with that sweet and spicy/tangy kick, not the usual bitter taste. My husband's mango habanero aguachiles had some serious flavor. We literally joked, "El Pescador who?" Ridiculously delicious. . First, the good: the food is REALLY good. I've tried several dishes so far and everything has been delicious. The standout for me was the Camarones Tamarindo. You HAVE to try those. The sauce is sweet like tamarindo, almost mole style, but with a nice spicy kick at the end that brings everything together perfectly. It's flavorful, bold, and different from what you usually get. Recommended !! Another favorite was the Camarones Nayarit. The garlic, the spices , just packed with flavor. We were a group of six and we all agreed these shrimp were next level. Definitely one of the best shrimp dishes I've had in a while. The banda is also really good. They're playing regardless, but if you want to request a specific song, it's $25 per request. Not mandatory, just an option if you want something special played. It adds a fun vibe to the place. Service has been great for the most part. Staff is attentive and they serve you well. Prices are on the higher end, but fair for what you get , especially considering the quality and portions. Now, a few things that could improve: The music acoustics could be better. There's a bit of an echo , maybe it's the speakers or the layout, but the sound could use some adjustment. The lighting is also very bright. It would feel more comfortable and relaxed if it were a little dimmer. Adding some greenery or planters would also help make the space feel warmer and less wide open. Overall, it's a great spot and a solid hangout place. It's still a little empty since it's new, but I really hope it makes it because the food deserves the support. They have outdoor and indoor seating; with the indoor being quite large and they even have a stage with a huge screen and instruments for live music. Our waitress was very attentive and nice. We were brought chips and salsa as well as complementary consome de camarón which was soooo delicious. We ordered a variety of dishes: aguachiles verdes, camarones cucaracha, camarones Nayarit, torre el capitán, el pancho roll, and a coco especial. Everything was delicious and cooked very well. The sauces they use complement the seafood so nicely as well. To end the meal we tried their flan which was really good, density was nice and it wasn't overly sweet. It was a great meal! Only thing I will criticize is that towards the end of our meal the musicians started playing the live music and loud doesn't even begin to cover the volume of their playing. This ambiance had big screens to watch games and the place was nice. It's a new place and if you like Banda, great people,real sinaloense mariscos and good deals! This is your places especially on special days ;) it can be pricey like everywhere! The service was attentive even when they got busy. I was there since 5:30-11pm. It's definitely got busy after 9pm. The manager came to our table to ask how we were doing. Staff was attentive and polite even when busy. We had a few different plates. I'll be back and post better food pictures. I'm giving them 4 stars because they usually do very good on the fish tacos until yesterday evening (5/5/26). The fish portion was terrible. Just small thin pieces on each of my 6 fish tacos. They got to speak to that cook because the percentage of fish to tortilla was 25/75. Of course I'm going to give them another try but if they're sad looking then I'll have to speak to the manager. I was really disappointed with my experience here. The food was honestly horrible. The drinks tasted like they barely had any alcohol in them, which was frustrating considering the prices. They call themselves a Mexican restaurant, but the beans and rice were some of the worst I've had very bland and not authentic at all. I also tried the sushi, and that wasn't great either, which made the menu feel very confusing overall. It's hard to understand what type of restaurant they're trying to be when neither cuisine was done well. The only positive part of the experience was the banda the music created a fun atmosphere and the beer and shots were fine. Unfortunately, the food and weak drinks were enough that I wouldn't return. I travel all over the place to try some good Mariscos and from what I have gathered aguachiles are cooked in a spicy lemon juice and hence the name but theirs was cooked in lemon only lemon and had the green salsa over top.
