    Fajita nachos texanas

Chips came out super fast/hot/crunchy, queso dip and salsa dip were perfect, waiter was amazing also. Fajita nachos tex - 9.5/10 ( shrimp ,steak and chicken are all delicious) nachos a little soft but to be expected still hot though! Quesabirria - 9/10 "best birria I've had in Myrtle beach" ~ college student at costal A.C.P texan - 8/10 "I'd give it a 10 if they had my Pacifico" Enchiladas poblanos - maybe a 7/10 thought it would have more flavor "it's editable"

We LOVE El Cerro Grande! The food is so delectable! The service is always amazing! We go there all the time so we order the same items and the waiters and waitress know us by now! The ambiance of the place is very nice too. If you are in the Surfside Beach or Myrtle area and want great foot, I recomend El Cerro Grande

10/10 always! Since I moved away it is so hard to find GOOD Mexican food that isn't outrageously expensive and for this el cerro will always hold a special place in my heart. (You really don't know what you've got til it's gone) Free chips and salsa which is always a plus. Delicious queso and HEAPING portions (this was lunch portioning). Large drink selection, A+ margs, quick friendly staff members, and a good vibe for whatever kind of day you're having. What's not to enjoy????

    Fajitas Texana

First time trying this place. We went in between lunch and dinner on a Friday. Only two other tables full. Service was fine. The chips and salsa were great. Cheese dip was good as well. I got the fajitas Texana. Which has shrimp, steak, and chicken. The shrimp was the only protein with flavor. The queso helped. Dissaponted overall with the fajitas. Wife got the nachos supreme and she liked them. Cost us $60. Not sure if we would go back. Was good, but far from great.

We ordered takeout and it was really good! I had the enchiladas poblanos which came with a very large side of rice. My husband had the seafood chipotle. We also asked for chips and salsa and they gave a nice portion! I hope we can try out this spot in person next time! The reason for the 4 stars was due to a little confusion with the location. The website shows 3 locations at the bottom of the page, but we didn't realize that when we hit the telephone button on the top of the page to call in our order. When ordering, the person taking the order tried to make sure we were ordering from the correct spot, but apparently there was still confusion. My husband drove to the wrong spot to pick up our food, and was out quite a long time for a quick to go pickup. I have a feeling this regularly happens, so maybe there is a way they can make the locations clearer on their website. If you are ordering takeout triple check that you have the right location!

Greeted upon entering. Friendly staff. Restaurant was very clean. Music playing in the background which allowed for private conversations. Food was excellent. Came out hot and yummy. Had the beef burritos with rice. Two on the plate. Can't see them in pics because of the lettuce on top. Traditional chimichangas were so good. Nice crunch to the exterior with delicious tender beef on the inside covered with a white queso. The tortilla chips and salsa were very fresh. Salsa had a great "zip" to its taste. Definitely will return to this hidden gem the next time we're looking for Mexican food.

The steak Gordita was the best thing here only thing that be better if they used melted cheese inside instead of cotija cheese. The torta cubana was okay the bread is way too doughy and they cheap out on ingredients. The steak torta something with the bread way too doughy they're better using a telera. The steak inside there was weird. Barbacoa burrito was good needs ingredients inside of it not on the plate. The steak dinner was okay the meat should have been a skirt steak but it look dry and not tender. They have a lot of Mexican pop to choose from and Mexican beer. They also offer a bar. They don't have horchata water only Jamaica water. The service was not that great. Our waitress was very quiet I could barely hear her. I recommend getting different cheese and bread and you have a great spot.

Very Mexican vibe with the decor. Bright beautiful colors. Don't remember the exact names of all that was ordered. We started with a stiffed pepper on the al a carte section of the menu that was delicious. Also ordered a horchata (yummmy), and a watermelon mojito (very fresh and tasty. For food, there was a combo platter with quesadillas and a tamale. It came with all the dressings (tortillas, rice, refried beans, etc.). Also had the carnita platter that was delicious. Then two other dishes - one was chicken. Everything came with all the things. All food was great! Very fresh and delicious. It came quick too for as busy as they were. Service was terrific! Super attentive, friendly, and just lovely. Water cups never empty, complimentary chips/salsa always full... they were constantly making sure your experience was good. There's a reason why there's a line! Visit this gem. The parking lot doesn't accommodate all the fans so you might need to park across the street where Ace hardware is located. It's literally a short walk.

Checked on us often but not hovering! We started with free chips and salsa, very good salsa with a tiny kick. Next we ordered mango margaritas and table side guac. The margaritas are definitely made from scratch, very good mango flavor but get an extra shot if you want to taste liquor. The guacamole was delicious with nice lime flavor. I was disappointed that they had no enchiladas on the menu so I ordered the Molcajete. It's definitely large for one person so plan on bringing home a bag! The food was delicious. The only con was that the meats were not sliced all the way so you had to pull out a chunk to slice. I also feel the steak was a little tough to chew. The pineapple slices were unexpected but delicious. The food came out hot which was great. The chicken fajitas and the steak fajitas were also very good. If you order it with cheese, it's going to be melted in and the pineapple is cut up and mixed in which was unexpected and was the only downside. Hubby liked the shrimp bowl. All in all we had a great meal and would come again.

I read…read moreall the reviews and was excited - and I will tell you this - the ambiance and the watermelon mint margherita were on point. That drink was amazing. My wife's burrito was as good as you can get at any Mexican restaurant but not really better. I was pretty excited to try the chicken mole because so many reviews were talking about how authentic this restaurant was. When I first got the dish I tried the mole sauce. In my experience a good mole sauce is something that is a passed down for generations with a complex and unique flavor and a minor unsweetened dark chocolate undertone. This mole was not all that flavorful - was somewhat cold and painted over a fried 1/2 chicken. I was going to power through it and this may have been a four-star review - but when I peeled back the breast part of the chicken it was really cold - like refrigerator cold - almost frozen. Not undercooked - cold. This tells me that I was eating a meal that was prepared in advance and then re-heated. I will say that the server was excellent - and when I returned the dish he handled it like a pro, I ended up getting a different dish that was pretty solid - nothing exceptional. I haven't returned a dish in years and was happy with how this process went. I did get comped one of those excellent watermelon drinks which made me happy. All in all - I will probably go again - but I would probably only go to the bar for the drinks and ambiance. I'd give 3.5 stars - but cannot give 4 stars.

I dismissed that review because I couldn't comprehend NEVER having a bad meal before. Come to find out...that review was spot on! After being seated, we were served chips and salsa. The chips were atypical; thicker than a traditional tortilla chip, but good. The salsa was also different, but delicious. We each ordered the beef chimichangas. Our server was not fluent enough to tell us if it was steak or ground beef and the menu didn't list the options either. Our meals were served with beans and rice on the side. The beans were cold and the rice extremely hot with an unpalatable seasoning that I couldn't identify. The chimichangas had a protein that wasn't ground beef, wasn't steak and wasn't good. It was a weird texture, unlike any beef I've ever had. My first bite was filled with gristle and difficult to chew. The second bite was filled with that odd textured "beef". The third bite was again all gristle and I was all done. I couldn't bring myself to take a fourth bite. Overall it was a terrible meal. On top of that we were charged a 4% for using our credit card. I know this is becoming more commonplace, but it wasn't stated on the menu and definitely not mentioned by the server. Also 4% is on the high side. This Desayundador is NO Buenos!
