This truck once operated out of the Del Mesa Liquor store lot but has since moved to a vacant lot on W Morena Blvd. This allows them to post up near the empty business with tables and chairs mostly underneath the building awning to offer shade. Plus, plenty of parking! The OG Fish Taco now at $4.25 is the obvious choice. It somehow comes with two battered fishes (each SO crunchy) along with fresh pico, cabbage, and white sauce. Despite its battered format, it is still mostly fish. Otherwise, the grilled fish taco is $6. Maybe slightly healthier and less heavy if that's what you're looking for. Their mariscos are something to celebrate as well. The tostada shrimp aguachile for $12.95 was beautifully presented. Upon first glance, it doesn't appear to have much shrimp, but hidden underneath the multitude of fresh cut fruit and avocado was a treasure trove of raw shrimp. This one was a bit harder to eat but they thoughtfully give you another chip underneath to use as your vessel for consumption. It's all so, so messy, but the truck has a wash station to clean up your hands afterward. Oh, did I forget the complimentary seafood consommé gifted to you as you wait?? Simply the best! Somehow, Kiko's is still legit despite a potential dilution of operations across the other truck and the new brick and mortar. Definitely a preferred location for easy access, top quality mariscos, sit down table availability, and early morning grub session (open as early as 9:30am).

Twice I got complimentary soup, twice did not. Maybe end of day is better in terms of what they give out. Sometimes there's condiments. Their outdoor eating area kind of changes too a bit sometimes. I get the OG taco usually and my gf gets the ceviche. Never had complaint although on most recent trip the ceviche seemed smaller portion. The taco was 5.99 each and fish seemed bigger than usual. I kind of suspect that as they close down they give bigger portions of what they have left. They had sold out of octopus and other menu items. Do try get there before 6:30pm cause they do start packing around 6:45 ish. Quality is good, tastes fresh. Tacos were filling for just $12. You're probably not supposed to but I often park in complex across street but street parking is easier. There's a $1 fee for credit so bring cash if that's a concern. The truck appears clean and well-lit, and they have menus both on the truck and on a stand off to the side to make it easy to see the options. My only negative is that the takeout containers are just open cardboard sort of bowls with no lid, and for a place with no seating where people are meant to take their food with them, this makes the food difficult and messy to transport. Regular takeout containers would be much more helpful. I will also say that $19 is a lot for a takeout burger (with tax and tip) however good that burger was. Definitely a splurge for me.

Everything but the pastor is made in the truck and its super popular among locals. Slight crisp with some gumminess, it's quite clean and not heavy, perfect with onion and cilantro. Their red sauce is quite spicy btw, so don't pour it over your taco. The pastor didn't feel heavy but was oily and the meat was tender too with adequate flavor, not salty or too seasoned. They were both seasoned but not heavy on the stomach.
