So I and my brother came here because at another restaurant I'll name it later you had to reserve for the weekend only so we spotted this area and we walked in. We did get greeted upon walking in the door and we did get service right away. We ordered two drinks and we ordered our food. Our waitress was very kind and definitely checked on us.. even though We were the only people in the restaurant it just showed that we didn't get passed up because she could have ignored us. She could have went about doing other things to get prepared for the rest of the day. Amelia gracias. She actually went down a list of things that we can come back to as first-timers.

The food was ok. The "aguas frescas" are powder mix and nasty! I asked if the was anything else and I was offered a descent strawberry lemonade not on the menu. The waitress was very friendly and courteous. The music was loud, but one can have a conversation. The ambiance is nice with a "night club feel" wheelchair accesible and kid friendly.

Their costa azul. Cute presentation but the taste of everything was bad, even the rice was bad

I wanted to love this restaurant. The food was pretty awful. The freshness was questionable. I literally had to spit out my food. I couldn't put my finger on it. I ordered the costa azula and not sure if it was the bacon or shrimp but it had a foul taste to it. The fries were not good also. The dip for the shrimp had too much mayonnaise. The service was fine, although I'm not drinking alcohol right now, they forced a shot of tequila and it wasn't good tequila at that. Went down like a fireball. The ambiance and entertainment were the saving factor to the experience in their effort. The singer was amateur and good intended but just not good. A bit tacky. We will not return sadly.

El Chilito was originally a different restaurant with a different name. However, they definitely changed everything from the menu to the scenery. The restaurant itself is very nice. They have a big bar and multiple televisions. This restaurant is definitely family friendly. Kids are welcomed and they have a good selection of food. All the servers are very welcoming and friendly. Our server in particular was very attentive and helpful. Their menu was great. They mainly serve Mariscos but they do have other dishes that are more traditional. I got the Mojarra Frita which is served with rice and beans. I went with the French fries and rice instead. My mojarra was delicious and cooked to perfection. My father in law got the cevichelada which was delicious. My husband got a botana and my mother in law the Camarones Al mojo de ajo. Everything was exquisite and made freshly. The only dish that we thought was a bit on the cold side was the Mojo de Aho but other than that everything was great. We enjoyed ourselves so much we stood for the karaoke and even sang a big too. This restaurant is perfect for any occasion and they have a dance floor on Saturday nights. Show them some love if you're in the Pico Rivera area.

Service: On point. From the moment you walk in you're warmly greeted and taken to your table. We were their before 6p on Friday and they gave us options to seat. Food: Excellent. The fish ceviche was super tasty just the right amount of tanginess flavor and fresh. Watch out Maricos Croix. The hot plate was also excellent. Rice and beans was fresh with great taste to accompany the al pastor and cheese enchilada. The asada taco dorado was yummy, and the meat had great flavor too not bland like other places. Drinks: We had the Michelada Clásico and a margarita. I can be picky about Michelada taste because I've had some that can be sweet (yuck) but their michi was really really good along with the rim dip and a shrimp to garnish (ahhhhh) yummo. Ambience: The music was good playing cumbias, regional Mexican music, reggaeton, there was a TV playing sports as well, and live Banda was setting up. Bonus: Different Happy Hour Drinks Everyday. Overall, definitely worth trying!

Celebrated a birthday party here with a large group and Noe was our server, he was fantastic! Super attentive and fun! The food was super good and I'd recommend this new place to anyone and everyone. Great atmosphere, the staff was really fun and the music was a mix of Spanish & English classics which made the night even more lit. Definitely recommend!

Festive and flavorful seafood, fun music, and attentive staff. This small joint gets very loud in the evening but is a good time if you're looking for yummy drinks.

Celebrated my 30th Birthday here & had a great time. Food was great, drinks were great, music and dance floor were great, and the service was great. I would definitely recommend this place for your birthday celebration or just to go have a good time. Thank you to our server Noel for the great service. Gave us a good time and was always attentive to our needs. Will definitely be back soon!

We tried: * Iced Latte Flight: Horchata, Abuelita, Pistachio, and Mazapan * Hot Mazapan Latte * Mimosa Flight * Mole Chilaquiles * Birria Benedict * Huevos Rancheros * The Journey Pancakes The Hot Mazapan Latte was our favorite coffee and something I would absolutely order again. The iced flight was also a great way to sample several of their flavors without having to commit to just one. For food, the Birria Benedict was the standout and easily our favorite dish. I loved the Mexican-inspired spin on a brunch classic, and the rich birria paired so well with the eggs and Benedict preparation. We also really enjoyed getting a mix of savory dishes with the Mole Chilaquiles and Huevos Rancheros before finishing with The Journey Pancakes for something sweet. Overall, Madres Brunch offers a huge variety of creative food and drinks, especially if you enjoy Mexican flavors and fun twists on traditional brunch. Definitely a place where I recommend coming hungry and ordering several things to share! Excellent service, as well.

The chilaquiles verde was savory and tangy. It wasn't soggy at all and definitely one of my favorite dishes. The short rib omelette was savory but didn't give me any wow factor compared to the other dishes I ordered. The tropical pancakes were so pretty. I only tried a piece of it without the syrup which I think was a mistake because the kumquat syrup was my friend's favorite. I definitely need to try it again with the syrup. Just a couple of weeks ago, my friends and I were considering our options for where to have brunch to celebrate one of our friend's retirement. Toast was one of the names I dropped in the metaphorical hat, and it won the vote of a few. My friends were surprised that I had named a spot I hadn't yet tried since I'm usually the "foodie" of the group. However, another girl in the group who had been here before vouched for it. I'm glad I finally got to try this place this past weekend, and I cannot wait to return! There were so many things on their menu that I wanted to try. A couple of the ladies ordered green chilaquiles, the friend we were celebrating ordered the Spanish Omelet, another woman I'd met that day had the bacon and eggs, another one ordered the Biscuits and grave with a side of bacon that looked perfectly crispy. I wish I had taken pictures of the plates as it all looked so lovely! I didn't even take a picture of my own food haha. I had my eyes on an omelet, one of the Benedicts or the Chicken n Waffle. In the end, the chicken and waffle won. It comes served with a little container of maple syrup with bacon pieces. The chicken was perfectly crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The waffle was delicious, though I did request for some extra syrup on the side. To drink, a few ladies ordered mimosas, one ordered an iced caramel coffee, and I ordered the Carajillo. I fell in love with this drink last summer in Mexico and do not often see it on the menu. I love the subtle citrus notes the Licor 43 adds to this espresso drink. It is very similar to an espresso martini, and theirs comes topped with a toasted marshmallow. I honestly wanted to try almost every item in their Tipsy Barista section of their drinks. I'll just have to come back that many more times :) Plenty of parking in the mall lot. It does get pretty packed during peak hours. Fortunately I had called ahead to put our group of 6 down. We went in on Saturday around 11:30. It slowed down a bit while we were eating, but started to get busy again after 1. Otherwise, we might have been forced to honor their 90-minute rule. All in all, a great experience from everyone in our group. No complaints on the wait, service or food. That certainly deserves a toast. Great job, Toast!
