I ordered the Tacos De Alambre con Queso. When I tell you seasoned to perfection melt in your mouth delicious. I could have eaten a plate piled high of these tacos. I also got the rolled tacos while they looked very appetizing not a fan the meat inside was very dry. I went at lunch on a Friday they were pretty busy. Well worth it though. read more

I really think EL Cometa is a great Mexican Restaurant! They sanitize the tables perfectly, The staffs wear masks to keep us safe from COVID-19 and they also make really great food, The Cheesr inside the steak is like wow! The guacamole and the chips taste really good, I think those tortilla chips are really crunchy! And I don't have to wear a mask if I don't want to! Okay so those were the upsides of the restaurant now I just wanna get to the downsides, The Salad Bar was closed, The restaurant goddamn crowded (which I know is understandable because people wanna believe in something that gets them out of the house) You can bring your kids there and you don't have to pay so much money, And overall I give this 5 stars read more

My gringo friend and I are in love with the Mexican good around here. He always tries to fool me by downplaying the location we are going to. Both of us are in uniform and stick out like a sore thumb. He orders them completely ditched me and I have no idea where he is. I go to the salsa bar and am stocking up in case I want to take much needed shots to get me through the rest of my day. The friendly guys at the country secretly point at the hidden table with mom friend sitting there. I forgot what I messed up, maybe I wanted a soda, I had to go back up and pay? Not sure. Came here while visiting El Paso because supposedly this place was one of the best places they sold tacos. Tacos de alambre is they were called over there. Was disappointment they basically only sold food by the plate so I had to order a plate of tacos de alambre. They were okay at best nothing too special. The table i sat at was a bit dirty. El Cometa is one of my favorite taquerias in Juarez and I'm really happy they finally opened an El Paso location. Clearly I'm not the only one that's happy about this as there were long lines for the opening and the restaurant is still pretty busy during non-peak hours. I haven't visited the Juarez location in a couple of years, but the El Paso menu is a little simpler than the one across the border, but that doesn't matter because they brought the essentials: their alambre tacos and signature flautas. I've been a big fan of their alambre con queso tacos since childhood, they're a little greasy, but I highly recommend it, luckily they take half-orders because you should also try the tacos al pastor. They're also famous for their flautas, which come loaded with cream, onions, and cheese, they go great with their guacamole salsa! The prices are comparable with Juarez, 2 people can eat very well for about $20, so not bad at all. Service is okay, it was pretty busy when I visited so the waiting staff wasn't super attentive, but very friendly. They really did a good job bringing over all that makes the Juarez locations so great, too bad for that Taco Bell across the parking lot! ;-) read more

Pros-Fast and very friendly service, cheap, lots of food for the price, clean, condiment bar is small but delish with the basics covered, simple menu (also a con) and best of all EVERYTHING was good, the chopped beef with green chilies hit the spot. Cons-sodas are in a can as is the tea, small menu (but you will find something you want), no extra thought behind the tacos for example like tacoholics has a korean version oh and they had three different TV's going with different things playing causing too much noise Overall a 4.5 star place for what it is. read more

Ordered the tacos al pastor and they were delicious! They were also ready within about 10 minutes. The staff was pleasant with the interior looking like a typical Mexican restaurant. I've driven by the place hundreds of times but never went inside because of how it looks from the outside, but don't be fooled by this one! Also, as a side note it can get pretty loud in there. Had the alambre taco plate, which was thin sliced steak, onion and peppers seasoned only with salt and pepper. I was really surprised how bland it was, just like eating a philly cheesesteak on tortillas. Pretty legit salsa bar did make up for it. Lots of food for a generous price. This is a spot to go to if you want to have a nice big meal for yourself. I ordered al pastor tacos and the meat itself was marinaded beautifully. It had a nice red glaze and the texture of the meat made it special. So much flavor. They give like 6 tacos, but it is A LOT to handle. Great deal. They're open til 3 am & the flautas are fried perfect. The rolled beef tacos are covered in crumbled cheese, sour cream & avocados. They have an authentic Mexican menu and salsa bar including cucumbers which you won't find anywhere else. The plates have no side items, but you won't miss them. I can't rate other food items, because I ALWAYS order flautas! The east side location gets busy on weekends, but the servers are usually quick. Just went and ordered to go like we always do well waited 20 minutes to get our food after it was already ready and it was cold the ley are quick to take your money but not quick to resolve any issue tonight they really jacked us they only gave us about half of the meat that we usually get and I called talked to the manager and he said well it's different when you are ordering to go I told him we always ordered to go and he didn't have anything to say about that told him we would t be going back and of course he doesn't care to loose one client because they have many but I am sure people will stop going if they keep jacking us beware if you go to the one on viscount very poor service and management read more

They have horrible customer service. It takes forever to get your food. The atmosphere inside is chaotic at best. The food is not that great and nothing stands out about it. If I am going to pay money to eat out somewhere, I want to at least be able to hear my dinner partner's conversation and feel relaxed.
