Convenient, cute cafe at the corner of Dolores Park! I usually stop by for a quick snack before heading over to hang outs in the park. My favorite is the bagel (which they warm) with PB&J, since it's pretty quick and hits the "picnic-y" spot. If you want to sit, they've got outdoor and indoor seating. Service is quick and friendly. They also have a bathroom in case you need it!

Food was really yummy!!! We ordered the Lox scramble, curried sandwich and Dolores egg sandwich. All were delicious! You order at the counter and they bring the food to your table. Great view looking at the park as well. We will be coming back to try their other breakfast offerings. This place is a must when you're visiting Dolores Park.

I ordered a Mexican hot chocolate with 3 shots of espresso. It was good but it only tasted like a hot chocolate and it did nothing for me energy wise. It wasn't worth price. The service was good. The ambiance was nice..

Solid cafe! Decided to try it in a whim while in the area, and was pleasantly surprised by the vegan wrap! It was a good size and the chickpea tofu was so flavorful and filling.

Cute cafe right across from Dolores park. My partner clans I came here for breakfast and a coffee one weekday during the heat wave. Service was prompt and super friendly. I ordered an iced lavender latte and my partner ordered a breakfast burrito with tater tots. We sat outside which was really nice. Our order came pretty quickly. My latte was super cute and pretty looking. It wasn't an amazing lavender latte but was still fine. Even after stirring thoroughly, I feel like the lavender flavor went away after a few sips. It's also on the less sweet side which isn't a personal preference of mine. I ended up sharing the breakfast burrito and tater tots with my husband. I think it left some things to be desired. Pros: piping hot, stuffed with filling Cons: not super flavorful, has a lot of egg I wouldn't order those items again but I'm sure I'll be back to try some of their other offerings.

Food 3/5: The pastrami on rye was decent. Great portions of pastrami, but it was missing the sweet/sour balance to counter the saltiness of the meat via mustard, pickles, etc. It did come out with a small piece of plastic wrap on it :/ Service 3/5: Standard for a busy cafe, but didn't really offer recommendations on which items were good when asked. Vibe 4/5: Nice views next to Dolores. Huge windows with good light. The stools were a little uncomfortable tho if ur coming here to work for a while. Overall pretty solid spot to visit if in the area.

Came to this location on recommendation of my nephew who used to live in the city so glad we came. Everything I mean absolutely everything is delicious. The service is great. The atmosphere is really nice. You can sit inside or outside. It's right across the street from the Lotus Park, which has an amazing view.

Got some breakfast before a picnic at Dolores Park! We shared a lox bagel and french toast. The lox came open face which made it really easy to share! french toast had great texture and a good amount of fruit. We dined in and got a table and felt the cute cafe vibes! Thanks to whoever left their newspaper, we read it at the park.

Delicious divine veggie sandwich. If I'm nearby, would come back for that and I'm not even vegetarian. Packed with carrots and sprouts and hummus and felt very Californian. Quaint, homey cafe right on the corner of the park.

The martinis are excellent, the burger is one of the best in San Francisco, the steak tartare is always a must-order, and the popovers absolutely live up to the hype. What really made this visit stand out, though, was our server, David M. He was warm, polished, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. He anticipated what we needed without hovering and struck that perfect balance of professionalism and personality that makes you feel truly taken care of. Excellent food, a beautiful new dining room, and service that reminds you why hospitality matters. I'll absolutely be back, and hope to sit in David M.'s section again.

Unfortunately, our experience this time was completely different, and the overall vibe of the restaurant seems to have changed. We had a reservation for four on a Saturday evening. When we arrived, we were told we could have a table inside, but only for an hour and a half. We agreed because sitting outside along a busy street with buses, trucks, and traffic going by wasn't particularly appealing. The service was okay and our food came out fairly quickly, but throughout the meal we had the distinct feeling that they were trying to move us along. No one checked to see if I wanted another drink, and what really bothered us was that the check was brought to the table without anyone asking if we wanted dessert, coffee, or another round of drinks. We were still within the 90-minute time limit they had given us, so there was no obvious reason for the rush. I may or may not have ordered dessert, but I would have liked the opportunity to look at the dessert menu and decide. Being handed the check without even being offered dessert made us feel less like guests and more like a table they wanted to turn over as quickly as possible. What made this especially disappointing was remembering how much we enjoyed Wayfare Tavern the first time. We specifically chose to come back because of that experience, but this visit felt much more transactional and rushed. For a restaurant at this price point, I expect to be able to relax and enjoy dinner rather than feel like I'm on a countdown. Sadly, I don't think we'll be returning.

I confirmed the reservation twice, once online and then they called me 30 minutes prior to confirm again. Unfortunately, I do think they gave away part of our sections seating because even though my entire party arrived on time, they could not seat us until 30 minutes after our reservation time. They did however compensate us with some appetizers which was appreciated. Overall, it is difficult to serve such a large party so I give them credit but it was a bit chaotic, not taking everyone's drink order, not bringing silverware with meals, etc. For the most part, they were able to bring out everyone's main meal at the same time, and the food is fairly good. Everyone seemed to enjoy their mains, but I would say it's pretty standard for Mexican. The drinks are excellent though, I got the coconut rum drink. We also brought a cake which they placed a large sparkler candle in which was fun! The ambiance on the inside is nice low lighting with an open kitchen, so visually very nice! Overall it was good and the staff were nice but I wouldn't be motivated to come back here any time soon.

I'm guessing it was a last-minute cancellation, but I was so happy because I really wanted to bring my friends who were visiting for the festival to Original Joe's. It's such a SF staple, and North Beach is also such a fun area to walk around before or after your meal. We were seated right away even though we were about 15 minutes late. Their policy is 10 minutes, but our hostess was super nice about it since I had arrived early and was waiting for my friends. We started with a couple of espresso martinis, which are seriously SO good and definitely a must-order here. For food, we did everything family-style and got the Caesar salad, chicken parmigiana, spicy rigatoni, fries, and arancini. This ended up being the perfect amount for three people because we were stuffed by the end. Everything was really good, and you know it's a great meal when you keep going back and forth about what to eat next because you want another bite of everything. Our server was also super attentive, and I love the classic, old-school vibe inside. If you're visiting SF, definitely try to get a table here!

I've been coming here for over 30 years, but I know this place has probably been there for at least that long before I made my way through its doors! We all ordered slim plates, which is a nice option, as the provide lighter meals for a lower price. For $14.50 I got Prime Rib (I think they call it round steak), mashed potatoes, a salad, a roll, and a side of beans. They offer a wide range of other options, including rotating nighttly specials. The guys at the counter are awesome, and are eager to serve you up a tasty plate, just how you want it! Everything is perfectly serviceable. Drinks are available on the other side of the room, and they have a great selection of beer and liquor (and I expect wines as well). I had a Ukrainian beer with my steak, and it hit the spot! Service at the bar is also quite good. I didn't have an Irish Coffee, since they didn't have fresh coffee made and we were in a bit of a time crunch, but I recall those being a treat as well. Huge helpings of tasty food at a reasonable price, and service with a smile makes this a heartwarming bit of San Francisco's classic dining. Today me and my wife stopped in for lunch as we have a few times before. It was a warm day in the Bay Area today and we were out walking so I wore a nice sleeveless shirt. It was nice, new and clean. The hostess asked me to cover my shoulders but I said I didn't have anything with me. She sent the manager over. The manager told me no sleeveless shirts for men are allowed in her restaurant. Mind you this is lunch. Not dinner. This is not a super fancy place. Me and my wife were both properly and nicely dressed. I politely told her that I identify as a woman. She said it didn't matter. I said so you misspoke a moment ago and male or female cannot wear sleeveless shirts? She said correct. I looked around and there was a woman behind us wearing a sleeveless shirt. Not nearly as nice as mine or dressed as nice as me. I said ok I will wait here while you turn her away too. The manager then became very rude and said she isn't going to serve me no matter what. I told her are you sure about this and she said yes and asked me to leave. How embarrassing. I have never been turned away from any establishment in my life.
