    Fully loaded burrito
    St C.

New favorite breakfast joint to pick up before heading up the mountain. Got a fully loaded burrito that is too messy to eat on the drive, but perfect to eat when you get to the resort waiting for first chair. Got another burrito handheld with egg, bacon and cheese with the potatoes on the side. Crushed that one on the way! Good price, fast online order, and perfect start for a day of boarding

Was talking to an Uber driver about Mexican food once and he insisted I have to try El Fogon as it's his favorite in town. We finally made it in on Friday night recently and it was ok. Now I have to say I compare everything to my favorite Mexican restaurant in Aurora that sadly we moved rather far from, so it's really hard for any Mexican restaurant to compete with that. But let me go into a little detail. Margaritas- good, tried the Corona marg and it wasn't quite my cup of tea (marg) the beer wasn't flowing into the marg so I made the mistake of emptying the whole thing in and then it just tasted like watered down carbonated marg, not the restaurants fault but just an FYI if you are like me and haven't tried this. Alfie ordered a mango marg on the rocks and it was rather sweet but luckily the saving Grace was the tajin rim, but that required a lick of the spice mix with every sip to help cut the sweetness. Though I will say with the Tajin it was quite good, spice and mango is an excellent combo. If they just cut back the sweetness a touch it could be great. I also ordered a Cadillac marg after my corona one and it was good, there was just something lacking that I couldn't quite place my finger on...too much lime juice maybe I don't know. Either way would I drink them again, yes I am a trash panda when it comes to cocktails I'll drink pretty much anything lol, but am I dreaming about them...not exactly. Now onto the food. Chips and salsa were good. Pretty sure they blend up Bell Pepper in their salsa which I'm sure plenty of people like. Though I like pretty much every pepper out there Bell Pepper is like the only one I don't and I picked up on that flavor immediately. Still ate it though, and what I did appreciate is there was a little hint of heat in the salsa. I feel like too many places are scared to put any heat in their house salsa for all those spice babies out there so when I place toys on the brink of adding literally anything above mild I commend them!! We did however ask for a spicer hot sauce, which the lady insisted to be careful as it was very hot...it was in fact NOT very hot but I nice kick of heat. Again luckily of us and our leftovers we have quite the array at home. It was good flavor though and did add some heat just not the amount I was looking for. As for the combination plates, they were good. One thing I found odd that if you don't choose one of their pre chosen combo plates there aren't many meat options on the combo plate. You've got a chicken flauta and I think a beef taco but that's about it. Otherwise you are limited to bean (burrito or tostada) cheese enchilada, or crispy Chile relleno. I went Relleno, Fauta, and Bean Burrito. They were all good, just not the best. Still dreaming of you favorite Mexican spot in Aurora. I think it was the sauce that covered the items, It was a bit heavier maybe and not as flavorful as I am used to? I don't know. Either way, it was good. I don't want you to mistake the 3 stars as being bad. I view 3 stars as average, in the middle, not great, not bad but would come back. That's how I felt about this spot. I would come back, but it's not at the very top of my list. I will say I saw someone order fajitas and they looked and smelled bomb. Would probably try those next Time.

    Carne Asada street tacos

This place doesn't look like much from the outside but man was it good!!! We got the "Fiesta Quesadilla" and carne asada Street Tacos! Both had excellent flavor and were good portions! Staff was friendly and service was fast, they don't check on you often so if you need that don't expect coming here. But overall you won't be disappointed!! They also have a variety of ceviche if that's your thing!

Just close that place down is the nicest thing I can say. I never even ate the food and was treated like an enemy from the start.

The hostess was nice and seated us at a both. The atmosphere is relaxed, with dated wooden booths and tables, along with an outside area that is pet friendly. Our server, a young woman, was friendly and attentive. I'm sorry, but I can't remember her name. She took our drink order and brought the beers for my son and I, but initially seemed to have forgotten my wife's Coke. Not a big deal. They have some very affordable specials, and my son and I ordered the double cheeseburger and waffle fries while my wife had a steak with steak fries. I found the burger mediocre. It tasted fairly bland, no charred flavor, with lettuce, tomato, and onion that did not stand out to me. The waffle fries were just OK, not soggy but not crispy, either. My wife said her steak was just so-so. My wife wanted a refill of her Coke, and asked for one to go, but the server said, "I don't have that". I'm not sure what that meant: she didn't have to-go cups, or they don't provide that service. Perhaps Mickey's does not do take-out orders. I don't know for sure. But, though the server was very nice, this was a bit off-putting for my wife.

The waiter had the kitchen split the salad for us. First, the French onion soup was a bowl but it was very good. I like getting the soup at all the restaurants we go to to see how well they are made. This one was very good. The wedge salad was good and it had chunks of blu cheese which I like. My wife had the teriyaki salmon. She said it was very good and would get it again. I had a filet with a lobster tail. The steak was cooked medium rare as I asked for so they did a great job with that and the lobster was good as it's a lobster. Now for the side we got and highly recommend the black truffle Mac & cheese. I don't know how to describe it but it was good. We also got the Parmesan broccolini which was cooked on a grill and was good. To finish the evening we ordered the crème brûlée. It has seasonal fruit that my wife ate and I had the cream dessert. It was much bigger than what I was expecting. Overall this was a great dinner and if I am in Denver again I would come back.

I did want to let the restaurant know that it was for a birtday celebration but there was no place to put that info. However, when we checked in at the restaurant, our friendly hostess did ask which was wonderful. Took few moments to get to our table but they were busy setting it up for that special occasion. Our waiter was prompt greeting us and we ordered drinks and bread serivice. Our waiter was very nice but slow due to so many tables he was tending. This restaurant ran little different than the Eddie V's or Merlots. He did have assistance waiter (water person) but things were slow. At other locations, it was someone from the bar who delivered drinks but our waiter was doing that. Also, taking the dirty dishes were mostly handled by the waiter. This slowed down the actual things he should be doing like.. if we needed anything right after the food was delivered, checked on us more frequently..things like that. Overall food was very good, drinks were little bit expensive for the price being charged and slow service. At the end, he relized we were not a happy camper and wrapped up faster. Deffinetely will be back for that special occassion, drink and bread service repeated and may reorder the shellfish cobb salad.
