I went here twice to give them the benefit of the doubt, bad both times. You have got to be kidding, this is absolute the worst Mexican I ever had. I ordered Carne Asada burrito plate, Who mixes beans with the meat??? I guess they do this to think you are getting more, bland bland bland. Have eaten here a few times now and have been very pleased every time. The food is great, it's very clean and fresh, and seasoned to perfection. The bartender is on point and the service leaves nothing to be desired. My family and I have been to just about every Mexican style restaurant in town and so far this one is the best. I've ate this restaurant on a few occasions and it's always mediocre at best. My last time visiting, I ordered the shrimp cocktail (If you don't know what a Mexican shrimp cocktail is, do a search real fast.) When the bowl arrived, it was served hot like a soup with a clearish green base. I sent it back and mentioned that it was supposed to to be served chilled, their excuse was they serve it hot because it's cold outside. When my order came back out, it looked as a Mexican shrimp cocktail should but at my first bite, the shrimp was warm and it should be cold at the same temperature of the actual cocktail. This place is amazing! This is hands down my most favorite place to eat, ANYWHERE! My best friend and I go here as much as possible.. The staff here are amazing! Very friendly and lively and always making sure you have what you need and that you are satisfied. As far as service goes, I have never enjoyed anywhere as much as here! As for the food.... You will love it, I have not had one thing here that I didn't like!! I usually stick with my chicken fajitas, which never disappoint. I just wish that they had a better location. When its busy, its a little hard to maneuver when trying to leave, however this does not drop my rating because the food and the staff are so spectacular! Ive been here several times and have had some very tasty food. Everything that Ive had was good with the exception of the shredded pork. They use pork loin instead of a more fattier cut. Service is great here. If you go ask for Taco the Chef and tell him I said Hello!!! read more

I really wanted to like this place after reading the reviews. The outside of the building looks like a huge CVan and there's almost nothing in the restaurant that tells you it's Mexican. If you don't really know what Mexican food is supposed to taste like and you like really bland, nearly tasteless food you might like this place. The supposed enchilada sauce was kind of like sweetened tomato soup. We both liked the crunchy fries but other than that it was really bad. The service wasn't great either. There were several parties going on, after we arrived, and they used that as an excuse for not taking care of us. We never complained even though we had to wait an insane amount of time for our check. The food was so greasy that it was making it to the top of my throat in less than an hour and I didn't even finish half of my food. For really delicious non-authentic Mexican food try Los Dos Amigo's. We made up a couple of new dishes there, (not on the menu, but worth asking for,) a burger with a cheese enchilada inside and french fries smothered in cheese and enchilada sauce. read more

I have been coming here for a couple of months, and I have to say that this place is freaking great! The chips are really good and HOT! A rare luxury in these parts. The salsa is the best in town, They have excellent shredded beef tacos, terrific chili rellanos, amazing enchiladas, the quacamole is really fresh and this place actually seasons theirs. And the servers... the servers here are really, really friendly. I mean really. And they're pretty good looking too. They are really entertaining when they bring your food out... a whole lotta fun to watch. ;) This place is my favorite in all of Coos County, and I'd dine there much more often if I could. As soon as a basket of tortilla chips hits the table, in a Mexican restaurant I always ask if the chips are fried in lard, and if there's lard in the refried beans. If the restaurant uses vegetable oil, I know I can order a bean taco, tostada, chile relleno, or cheese enchilada and not worry about shocking my digestive tract. This makes me a hypocritical vegetarian, I admit, because I overlook the possibility of cheese made with animal rennet, rice cooked with chicken base, and salad dressing made with fish or its by-products. Sometimes you have to live in the world you live in. I console myself with guacamole when necessary. My friend Viv says Guadalajara is pronounced, "wah-da-la-har-ah," and I believe her because we had to Waddle-ahara out both times we ate here. The food was delicious. She had the seafood enchiladas and I had a deluxe tostada. On our second visit, I was too distracted by my cheese enchiladas to notice what she was contentedly "mmmm"-ing over. The queso dip struck us dumb, and we had it both times. Best I've ever tasted. Since they serve refried beans with the basket of chips and salsa, finishing a combo plate becomes a test of will. Accept the proffered Styrofoam container and Waddle-ahara on home. read more

Definitely the best Mexican food I've had outside Yuma, AZ! The wait staff is friendly, fun, and accommodating. The service is fast. And the food is excellent. I have tried about 4 of their lunch and dinner items and all were excellent. I highly recommend this place over any of the local Mexican restaurants. read more

Went here for dinner last night, the waitstaff .... OMG so friendly, our food came out fairly quickly, it was starting to get busy about midway through our meal. I had the chile rellenos, they were good but the red sauce was not my fav., would I order it again? Yes! I also had the Sopes, I'm going to try it again because I'm sick and I can't really taste anything. The rice and beans were so yummy! As soon as you come in you are greeted, and someone is at your table within minutes with water, chips, salsa, and a plate of frijoles refritos for dipping. My Son got the fajitas and said they were good ... I'll be back for sure, even my 8 year old grandaughter who is so picky brought her rice and beans home! read more

Just had Mariposa!!!! Perfectly cooked shrimp, green and red peppers, onions, and cheese. Rice and beans. It was so good!!!!!
