Stopped in to get some lunch to go. I picked up the chili Relleno plate for my daughter and she loved it. I my self had a red pork burrito and a Chicharrón burrito. Both were amazing. The red pork was so flavorful and delicious and just the right amount of heat. I loved it. The Chicharron burrito was also delicious and spicy . This was our first stop in Las Cruces after checking in to our hotel--I had it bookmarked as soon as I saw the Chile relleno burger haha. But we actually ended up getting chile rellenos the night before, so I rolled with a green chile cheeseburger (a must when in NM) and fries. Burger was good and they didn't hold back on the green chile, which has an addicting heat to it. Fries were aight tho they tasted a bit like they were fried with old oil. A very small eating establishment in a somewhat dilapidated building, but don't let that put you off because you will miss out on some tasty food if you drive on by. Only 6-8 tables in the entire place. Couple people working the counter and kitchen. Order off the menu, but there is also a board that shows other available items. Free chips and salsa come out first and the waiter takes your drink order. The salsa is flavorful and picante (spicy). So, even though this is Mexican restaurant, they have some very good looking burgers with a variety of chiles/peppers available on them. We went with the Nacho Burger (yes, nacho strips and cheese along with other goodies) and the Shrimp Taco Plate (3 tacos with rice and beans). Good portions. Tasty. Price is okay, perhaps just a tad high especially for lunch. $25.00 for lunch for two including soft drinks. Worthwhile to check out. read more

Today I had their Relleno Burger at this little bistro that serves up the most creative burgers in Las Cruces at a great price. The burger had a Chile relleno across the top with two strips of bacon added for only 49 cents more. Total price for the burger and fries with their complimentary salsa and chips...a bit over $12.00 including tax. The fries are not crispy but not greasy either. Pretty good fries. Rate them a "B+." The burger was well done but not dry and not greasy. The meat was well seasoned and very flavorful. Included tomato, lettuce, onion, green chile and cheese. Very good burger. Rate it "A-." These may not be the absolute best burgers in town, but for the money they are clearly among the best. And, many of their Mexican dishes are among the best if not "the" best in Las Cruces. Not sure how this place has 4.5 stars?! My guess is that it's often reviewed by kids from the college located near by. Honestly, its frightening from the outside and I'm not even talking about the cracky looking hotel adjacent to it. Parking lot looks like it needed to be redone about 20 years ago. We had to ask the server to wipe the table down because it was so sticky (even after he wiped it, it was still sticky). The chips were stale, the salsa was watery and tasted like any poison. I'm actually scared for the food to come out. Okay the food came out. It's better than I expected. I asked for green chilie pork smothered in red sauce and it came with green sauce but it's good.
