Authentic Mexican street food, a spotless dining room, and a salsa bar that is worth the trip. If you can make it on a Tuesday, do it. Most tacos drop to $1.50 from their regular $2, which means you can eat like a "rey". The aguas frescas are made with real fruit and it shows. The pineapple was sweet, fresh, and exactly what you want alongside spicy food. The horchata had a slightly sandy texture that was not quite my thing, but your experience may vary. Now for the tacos, served properly on thick corn tortillas. The chorizo is a spiced pork sausage with some heat. The "al pastor" is spit-roasted pork marinated in dried chiles as the dish should be. The tripa, pan-fried beef intestines, is not for everyone, but if you are adventurous it is crispy and delicious. Two pro tips: ask the taquero to grill the meats a few extra seconds for added crispiness, and ask for grilled onions. Both are game changers. Just when you see me or even now whilst reading this comprehensive review, say to yourself (or me) that you've won a math debate (science and mathematics rule the world so don't debate me on that ether or how to use the word ether in place of either) Getting to the food and let me be honest I don't get anything here but the cabeza 8 or even 10 (i get away with it cuz i pretend to be in my phone with someone and i say, "8? 10? Oh ok. Yup. K bye" What's so good about beef head tacos? Well Susan, first of all, the beef head is fatty and really greasy. How they cook it? Idk I'm still working on being that nervy but from what I can see from outside the taco truck window is they have it on a flat grill griddle whatever it's called not on iron chef i don't think so but I like the texture and the greasiness. I also like to add some chopped cilantro and onions then finish with a splash of the green sauce the green like guacamole not green like tomatillo sauce (both good btw) Do I eat all 8 (or 10)? You would think because of the amount of cars that are parked near this taco truck that it would be really good. It's okay but definitely not the best I've had in Utah or elsewhere. Came here a couple times for tacos specifically as my man was craving some from a taco truck. While the line was a few people deep, it moved quick. The person taking orders was polite but a little hard to hear. He was also quick with the drinks. Ordered pork belly and marinated pork tacos the first time, pork belly tacos and pina/mango drink the second time. Both times the pork belly was good, not dry at all. While flavored well, the marinated pork was dry. There wasn't much that helped that. The coolers outside of the truck were filled with toppings to add to your tacos, burritos, etc. There was ice underneath so I'm assuming it was fine to consume. The pina/mango drink was good, I wish it was colder than what it was. This probably isn't a place I would frequent as I have had better taco options that aren't to far away. read more

Don't fall for this when you see a line. Most people come here because its cheap. Carne asada from Del Taco has more flavor.

I've never gone to a genuine taco stand before, but Ray convinced me to get some tacos from El Jaripeo. El Jaripeo is located in the parking lot of Harmons. The stand looks pretty clean and not too "shady". They have two coolers on the side of the stand filled with hot sauce, limes, etc to flavor your food. The items in the coolers were actually cold, so the condiments were okay to consume, but I would prefer if they put the coolers in the shade or at least keep the lids closed. The people who ran the stand were very nice and provided great service. The wait for my tacos wasn't too long; it took about 10 minutes. The tacos were only $1 each, so I got 3 carnitas (shredded pork), 2 pork belly, and 1 marinated pork. Out of all of those, I enjoyed the carnitas the best. read more

I take my son there almost every weekday, ge only likes their tongue tacos because they're so soft and he's a picky toddler. I like their suadero, chorizo, carnitas and barbacoa. Their pineapple mango juice is fantastic. My husband likes their burritos. The cooks are super friendly. Very affordable as well. read more

Very kind people. They make the meat right in front of you. I gave them a tip discreetly and one of the gentleman noticed and thanked me. I thought that was sweet. The food is great and you get to pick out your toppings while they are preparing your food. Every time I've gone they have offered to fold up my burrito for me after I add salsa and what not. Tacos are good here and only $1, but I'm not into the salsas they provide. Bad salsa hurts the flavors. The only taco here that doesn't need salsa is their chorizo with pineapple in it, very tasty. They had lamb meat here on one visit, big mistake..it was soggy and had a terrible texture in my mouth. I tend to stick with burritos here since I can eat one on the go. Their al pastor is the winner here, has loads of flavor. Service is always helpful and friendly, but this place is popular so expect at least a short line. Tacos are on the small side, but value is decent here. I always envy those customers who think of bringing their own chairs. 3.5 stars. read more

When you can't decide what to eat, this is the place for a quick satisfying meal! Someone told me their Barbacoa meat tastes just like Birria (a mexican juicy, tender, shredded beef dish I love), and it sure does. For those familiar with Chipotle's Barbacoa, this one is not spicy, but very authentic. I ordered 2 barbacoa tacos and a barbacoa burrito for $10 (they do accept credit cards). It was nice that they let you put in your toppings before wrapping the burrito. My only gripe was that their pico de gallo had way more onions than tomatoes, and hardly any cilantro. They have the typical side sauces (tomatillo green sauce, another light green sauce that has more of a kick and a red sauce I assume is spicy). I always get both green sauces. I've had food truck tacos before, where I get the usual chicken or steak, and I'm usually unhappy about how grisly the steak can be, but never Barbacoa. The meat is just so juicy, tender and flavorful. One bite and I was sold!! I will definitely be back for more. read more

Carne asada burritos and tacos are great, forthemostpart. Sometimes, depending on the cook, the meat is dry. The male cooks are always friendly to us but this one female cook in paticular is awkward and unfriendly. Overall though, decent place for late nice tacos. read more
