Based on the tacos I got this was a five star for me. Came around 7pm on a Saturday night and with only one person ahead of me.. got my food fairly quick. Tacos are 1.25 each and a large agua fresca is 4.00. Their cabeza tacos here are fatty and melt in your mouth buttery goodness. Cabeza is my favorite meat to critique taco trucks and this place got the flavor right so it doesn't taste just like boiled meat. Their tripa taco was yummy and I asked for it crunchy and it gave it the perfect amount of crisp and chew. Their al pastor was satisfying as well. No pineapple given here but that's okay. They ask if you want onion and cilantro and which sauces you want- although they didn't tell my my options I opted for my go to green sauce. There's was good as well. Customer service was good- I'm guessing it's run by a family because it looked like a mom, dad and son working the whole thing but I may be wrong. They sell burritos, quesadillas, tortas, horchata, watermelon agua fresca, mexican chips and candy. There's a variety so you can't really go wrong. I tried the watermelon fresca and although it was sweet, it was really good to wash down the tacos with and once I finished half, I just watered it down to create another drink haha so that was good. They had a little sign on their truck that said tacos de birria and I definitely want to come back and try that since I noticed it after ordering. read more

The tacos are a little bit on the small side, even for street type tacos, but they were quite full and two of them hit the spot for dinner for me. I can see why they get so many 5 star reviews. They're super affordable and small but filling. I ended up getting some for my friends where I'm staying at because I'm out here visiting. WOW! So happy we found this little gem while visiting friends in Pasadena. We tried asada and al pastor tacos and they were pretty bomb for the low price. I think they were $1/taco. The meat was super juicy and the tortillas had a good taste and held up well. The top prized item probably had to be the Milanesa Torta! It was by far, the BEST Milanesa Torta I have ever tried! Mayo on the bolio (then grilled), beans, lettuce, tomato, onions, and guacamole! My personal fav combo toppings on a torta. They also had these $2 aguas de sandia (watermelon water) that was AMAZING. El Jarocho uses a variety of flavors to marinate the meat while he cooks and it comes out dripping on his tortillas. All salsas are homemade and delicious. I grew up in Pasadena, not far from the most commercial area where El Jarocho recently popped up. As a kid, there were always a couple of Paleteros and an ice cream truck that roamed the neighborhood, and even an elotera that made the best corn you ever had with cheese and mayo... But taco trucks and stands weren't too popular-- you could get some mean lengua and buche from the bakery on Allen and Villa or from the carniceria in the same complex(before it burned down in 1992), but no stands. Seeing this little pop up amidst parked cars on Colorado, I had to stop in. Cheap prices, simple street taco plates, and fast service? Awesome times three. All kinds of meats for you to enjoy, and if you're like me, you'll end up buying seconds and thirds. Not sure how they manage to pull this off in the Dena (where putting a power outlet in your house is an expensive and lengthy permitting process...) but as long as they're here, I'll take the slight detour to visit my parents in the old neighborhood and drop a few bucks. I love the entrepreneurial spirit and can see the pride the owner and his family has of this enterprise. So affordable. They offer a long list of items. 10/10 these tacos are FIRE! This is the only taco truck that doesn't make me feel super nasty after eating their food. The owners are really sweet and are always attentive and precise with my order. Never had a problem coming here and it's become a biweekly visit from me and the gang at home! The food isn't overly greased and the flavor is always there, meets beyond expectations. Anybody who posts anything different than this is just a hater or messed up their order due to self-negligence. They've got 5 stars for a reason, they deserve it. These were the most disgusting tacos I've ever had! Greasy to the max and everything is cooked in the same lard from different meats. The cook wasn't the cleanest, touching everything around like bottle etc then touching your tortilla after! Ugh And the carne asada wtf kinda carne asada is that?
