Found the place by filtering out the most reviewed restaurant in the area and was not so surprised to the see the amount of people inside the small dingy restaurant that looks famous In the area for to-go menu only. The ambience is no fancy and there are around 10 tables for a quick bite. Food - being an enchilada fan and since I always have burritos at chipotle.. I took the option of enchilada over a chicken burrito which I feel might have been a mistake. The original enchilada had a good or fencer taste an texture to it but I took the mole sauce on it. The person at register did tell me that it has a spicy taste to it but still took it thinking how spicy could it be for a guy from Indian origin. But the mole sauce is quite hot and it actually took way the enchilada taste away from it giving ga weird sweet and hot taste to it. Went back a few more times, and none of them were good. Ordered nachos and they were soggy and microwaved, taking 40 minutes to make! Every time I ask for a burrito with the sauce on the side it comes out soaking wet with sauce... the meat is sometimes sketchy, and everything is WAY overpriced. The finest neighborhood Pub in Roxborough. This is the place I take all visiting family and friends who come to visit. Located in a residential area, you can feel that this is a staple place for the community. I often run into my neighbors and new faces alike sitting down to watch the game or grab a bite to eat. Not sure what it is with the northeast and Mexican food but someone needs to go to Texas or California and take some lessons. This is not authentic Mexican food. I'm giving this 2 stars because the carne asada taco and the guacamole was good. Other than that the mole sauce was disgusting so bad I wanted to throw up after one bite. Can't enchiladas just come with a red sauce. The mole sauce tasted like a chocolate cinnamon mix. The rice and beans just ok. Won't be back except for a taco. read more

Some of the best tacos and burritos in the Philadelphia area, including S Philly. The Al Pastor tacos are the best I've had. The burritos are probably better than almost any I've had. For comparison, my go-to at home in Philly is Los Gallos (also incredibly delicious). These are as good or better, depending on the item. They also have some of the best mole around. And they're super nice people. If you want a table, get there by 11:45 or it's hard to get a seat. Unless it's rainy, then it's usually kind of empty. Oh and you can get a free margarita if you ask for it. It's crappy mix and probably bottom shelf tequila but hey, it's free booze. read more
