Solid taqueria in downtown Conshohocken. It's a small and doesn't have much of any ambiance but big portions, reasonable prices, quick service, and huge menu! I was pleasantly surprised by our meal and would certainly stop in again. I got the veggie fajitas which came with 3 tortillas, some pico and sour cream, and a huge (!!) helping of veggies for less than $10. I also got a side of guac for $2.50 which was well worth of the add. Well cooked meal though I would have liked a little more spice. We get take out from here a minimum of once a month. Our go-to order is three tacos and an order of steak enchiladas in tomatillo sauce. For the tacos we get one each of steak, al pastor and chorizo. They don't skimp on the meat and it's always delicious. We would eat here all of time if we could. We recently tried the loaded nachos with steak, and I'm so sad we didn't try it sooner. I was craving Mexican food recently and decided to try this spot through a delivery service. My husband got a burrito and I got three different kinds of tacos. Even though it was delivered, the food was still warm and had amazing flavor. The sauce we got with the burrito (can't remember what it's called), took it up a notch. One of my favorites. For a while now my best friend and I have been talking about trying it here but every time there's always a crowd! We were off Monday and decided to go over for lunch. It was still pretty busy in there! We were immediately seated and told we could have a free margarita and that they would bring us over sour mix for our bottle. The sour mix was really bitter which was the only real letdown - also the size of the place. It's packed with so many tables you just feel like you're on top of everyone else. That obviously wasn't the highlight of our visit. Our two massive burritos were seriously something else! I devoured my chicken burrito with chipotle and tomatillo! It was so delicious. I've tried to give this place many many chances, because honestly their food can be pretty good sometimes. Their food is definitely not consistent from day to day but that's not what broke the camels back. I can handle the occasional side of watery refried beans. I especially disliked when their mole sauce wasn't blended enough, what I suspect are an abundance of rehydrated chili skins sticking to my mouth like plastic flakes, I couldn't finish that meal. What really ruins things is when they add ingredients that I didn't ask for. The first time was a cheese & bean burrito ... & they decided to put shrimp inside ...??? Honestly that was so unpleasant, I've never had crustaceans before and had no idea what that texture was. But that wasn't the last time, because like I said I gave them too many chances. No the last straw was when I ordered a *CHEESE* quesadilla. You would think it would be pretty straight forward. But no they had to serve me a cheese quesadilla with some meat wrapped in the melted cheese ... Never again. Wasted way too much money here. read more

I am making my way through the menu and have had burritos, tacos, sopes, tamales, and of course the chips & salsa & guac! My only downside is the salsa that comes with the chips is too chunky/tomato-based for my liking, but the green & red salsas that come with the burritos and tacos are excellent. The portion is HUGE, the saucy is tangy, and the grilled veggies include delicious mushrooms, sweet potatoes, etc. If I could change one thing it would be to add more seasoning to the rice in the burrito. So I had an opportunity to fend for myself for dinner on Friday. I took a drive in on the Schuylkill Expressway, and found myself stuck in traffic at Conshohocken. Big surprise! But wait, I have Siri with me. So in asking Siri to find me a nearby restaurant off the highway, and in seeing the subsequent Yelp reviews that Siri brought back (good job attaching reviews to Siri, Yelp), I landed here. Gang, this place may not look like much, but they're doing it right in here. I sampled a number of items while sitting at the counter watching the cooks do their thing. The chips, salsa, and guacamole were good, but I like my guacamole thicker. Slight watery content going in this batch. Not enough to ruin the flavor, just personal preference. The homemade chips were worth it, and not salty at all. i ordered a pork taco, a chicken taco, and a chorizo sope. I done into the chicken taco first with some of the red sauce from the bottle they gave me, and fell in love. Fantastic flavor! The pork taco had a sweetness to it that I loved as well. If you asked me to pick a favorite, I'm going chicken. This is where I noticed a slight error. I ordered chorizo, but on my sope I got chicken. I think the waiter misheard me. It was busy and loud. Oh hell, I decided to eat it anyway since I loved the chicken so much. I couldn't tell at first because they bury the meat under the lettuce and sauce when serving it. Well, it was awesome anyway, so they get a pass. Free margarita with dinner... really nice touch. Sure, it's not the best margarita, and it's served in a pretty boring cup, but it's booze and it went down just fine thank you. The flan for dessert was too much to resist for me. I only regretted it for what I know it will do to my already too large waistline. Other than that I highly recommend it. The staff is great. Sitting at the counter is unique because you are right there with the cooks. They would even check on me to see if I need anything along with the wait staff. I appreciated the attention. WOWWW!!!! Stopped by here on the way back home from a hike and this place blew me awayyyyyy. 1. Converted parking lot into outside seating area was super smart of them! Awnings with cute lights to set a nice mood. They even had a drink station outside and music playing! It definitely made it feel like an outdoor restaurant. They made it work well during COVID! 2. The food was awessomeee. I HIGHLY recommend their super nachos with Al Pastor. I am from California, so al pastor there is marinated with pineapple juices, but al pastor here is cooked with pineapple chunks in it!!! El Limon is a solid place to grab some quick, good and reasonable Mexican food. If anyone has ever been to Conshy this is usually the go to spot for Mexican. Parking can be a bit of an issue. The restaurant itself is small and it can be a bit confusing if you've never been there. The takeout line often runs into the dining room. We stopped the other day for a quick lunch. I'm a big fan of their steak taco supreme on the corn tortillas. It's a solid taco! The steak is always tender and the condiments are always fresh. They have some of the best guacamole around! We(party of 2) went for late night quick dinner after some event in local church. Conveniently located 3 mins away from where we were. Besides i knew the other franchise (?) place in ambler (their food is good) , so we decided to go there. It was smaller inside. We were told to sit anywhere so we sat down. Food were served in styrofoam dishes and given plastic utensils. That was fine by me as long as food were good. Which was good with reasonable price. But the service was hectic. Felt being rushed. We even checked and confirmed that they are open til 2:30am. Waitress gave us impression that she's reluctant to admit that they are open late since the weather was bad etc. i could understand that they want To go home early but not reasonable that they were rushing customers. Gave us check before we even ask for it while we were eating. Did not even finish half of what we ordered. And multiple times kept checking On us for check and bill. She was saying that they have to close , (but it was before midnight, They were open until 2:30am) i bet she had to go home and wanted tip. Poor service. Sauce bottle seems never cleaned as well.
