It is HARD to find good Mexican food in Philly. This place is a true gem. I've dined in and ordered delivery from this location and another. They seem to be all around the surrounding Philly areas. I'd love for them to put a location in center city Philly, it's needed. Everything is always fresh and really good. I recently had a shrimp burrito that was so delicious and HUGE, it was 2 meals. Visited on a Friday around 6:30pm RIGHT before it got really really crazy busy. The food is delicious, but the atmosphere leaves a lot to be desired. Service was on point and food was brought out quick. Their offering consists of a variety of tacos, sopes, fajitas, burritos, along with many other offerings. They offer a free margarita if you ask. I ordered a taco, a sopes, and one more thing I'm forgetting. All of it was very good, flavorful and properly seasoned. With guacamole and salsa and chips, I was easily full with just two of the ala carte items and took the third home. The atmosphere was pretty terrible. We were sat 1 foot away from the table next to us and were pretty much dining with our neighbors. The ambiance is awful as other guests fill up the restaurant to order and are bumping into you while you're eating. It's almost like they want you to eat as fast as possible and rush out so they can turn the table. I was really looking forward to this place based on reviews but it just wasn't a great experience. I know during the pandemic restaurants are trying to make due but a little more effort would've been nice. One of the selling points of this place is their complimentary margaritas. Not once were we offered them, even after the server came over to our table three times. Meanwhile the people that sat down just before us got them immediately. When I asked for them, the server brought us one for the two of us at the table. It seemed like she couldn't be bothered, and almost like we were bothering her by even asking. She never checked on us to ask about the food, and while I know lingering during the pandemic isn't what places want right now, we felt unwelcome the whole time we were there. My fiancé's mole chicken enchiladas were good, as were the chips, salsa, and guacamole, but my fish tacos were disappointing. There was no flavor at all minus the lime I squeezed on it and the cilantro. I expected so much more but they were just very bland. Our sides of rice and beans were both cold too. Overall, I'd be willing to try this place again after the pandemic, or even during maybe with different menu items, but this was not a great experience. read more

I am a huge fan of the shrimp mole enchiladas but I do not hesitate to order the occasional shrimp tacos (with another side of mole of course). Also be sure to rock out with your guac out. It tastes awesome and is only $2.50 for an extra side. So do it. And if you are a fan of spicy be sure to grab a side of the red sauce. It is smokey and spicy. Pretty average Mexican food to be honest. In comparison to it's surrounding competition, I would say it is probably the best spot as there really isn't much in Conshohocken. I stumbled upon this place while looking for somewhere to grab a substantial lunch since I was starving- and the reviews were really good so I thought, what the heck... Service: Horrible! The waitress brought us our food and only came back to give us our check. There was no checking in on us between that. Food: It was ok! My co-worker got a vegetarian burrito and I decided on the shrimp quesadillas. The variation of shrimps sizes was concerning and my quesadilla seem to be lacking flavor. I made it work with their homemade salsas...it brought it all together. The best thing about our entire meal was the guacamole. I cannot lie, it was pretty good. The restaurant was very cute and they were friendly but the food was not good at all. I ordered a burrito and it wasn't even folded properly and I couldn't even pick it up. I had to open it up and eat it. Their Mexican rice tasted like it came from a box like Old El Paso it was awful. My husband got shrimp tacos and said they were the worst shrimp tacos he's ever had. The loaded nachos with al pastor is my absolute favorite! (seems like the portions got a bit smaller lately though) I ordered my favorite nachos and 4 steak tacos and 4 al pastor tacos the other night for dinner for 4 of us. normally, we would have eaten everything we ordered, but we ended up throwing some food away after we tasted the steak that was not fresh. I tend to do a lot of cooking at home and rarely do take outs, I purposely only order from restaurants that are not too slow because I worry about the food not being so fresh. Hands down the best street tacos you can get off the streets. I have been on a taco run as of late and this place here hit the spot. Located on a small but charming street in Conshohockon, this place is a g to be found. The dining area was rather small but surprisingly comfy, I did not feel cramped and there was enough room that each table had their privacy space. The food smelled phenomenal, the kitchen was literally right in front of me. I smell my food cooking as soon as I ordered them! We had al pastor tacos, Tortas cubano, chicken enchiladas with a side of chorizo, shrimp tacos with rice and beans and chicken tortilla soup. What an amazing meal! My favorite item was definitely the al pastor (spicy pork marinated in pinneapple) but everything else came close. The al pastor was fatty and the hot grill toasted up the fatty flank of the meat, making it crispy and oozing with flavor. The sweet pinneapple marinate was the perfect counter to the spiciness of the meat. The Tortas Cubano was huge! I think this was the biggest Mexican sandwich I've eaten. It came with tons of pork and an over easy eggs with all the garnishes. Honestly, we could have just shared this delicious sandwich and call it a day, we would have been full and happy. The shrimp tacos were super fresh, the shrimps were perfectly marinated, not over powering. You can feel that snap when you bite into that shrimp taco. I love the fact that you can get any extra meat you wanted for 2 dollars, we had a side order of chorizo and it went perfectly in our shrimp tacos, it was my version of surf and turf. The two small complaints I had were with the chicken enchiladas and chicken tortilla soup. The chicken enchiladas was good, but the chicken filling was at room temperature and was dry. The chicken tortilla soup had great flavors but was salty, even for my taste. Overall though, their food was excellent and the pricing was very affordable. Any imperfections were not enough to bring a star down for this awesome spot. If you are in the area, do not leave without trying this place, and definitely do not forget to get the al pastor! read more

El Limon was a hit! Simple, no frills, but they serve up some extraordinary authentic Latin eats. I ordered the rolled tacos, basically taquitos, that were filled with potato and chicken. Topped with shredded lettuce, chopped tomato, and sour cream, I am happy I did not count calories for this delicious plate of mouthwatering eats. Salsa in squeeze bottles remind me of home so big ups to them for that. The green was tangy and flavorful and the red, oooo eeee my mouth was on fire! Chicken Burrito, Steak Burrito and side of rice. First of all, they charge $2.50 for a literal salsa container size of rice. It's literally two tablespoons of rice. The burritos are covered in the sauce, with additional salsa verde smothering it, which wasn't stated on the menu. Both the chicken & steak burrito were terrible, the meat is absolutely disgusting. The burritos also had peas & carrots in them, definitely weird & not appetizing for a burrito. Aside from the sauce creating a mushy tortilla, the burritos are super dry, no sauce, sour cream, cheese, anything inside of them. Definitely the worst Mexican food around. read more

I'm motivated to write this review by two things: 1) the unflinchingly excellent food I've had here over the years, and 2) that I heard people from the neighborhood complaining that there is not a "Taco Bell" nearby. El Limon satisfies just about everything you could want from a casual Mexican food eatery. The prices are very reasonable, they are open late, and the quality of the food is stunning. I recommend the fajitas (either shrimp or chicken), which is a tremendous amount of food for around $10, and tacos, which go for about $2.50 each. The fajitas come with multiple homemade sauces, too. I regularly order from here via Caviar, and even with the high delivery prices, the check is still quite reasonable for all that you get. This is a great local chain to support. read more

Wow, everyone loves this place. I just don't get it... Sure, it's cheap food and it's located by a strip of bars with late night hours. A lot of people get wasted and then grab some tacos. A few weeks ago, we went back to this location after a night of drinking with some friends. Our order was messed up a bit and there was something hard in my pork taco. I thought it was a tooth, but it was some sort of bone or something. We did order the Al Pastor taco, but we never got it. Went here on a Friday night and surprisingly sat immediately with out a wait. The service was great she came over right away to explain how to get the menu and ask for our drinks. They have complementary margaritas but they are also BYOB. We got the chips and salsa as well as a shrimp quesadilla for an app. The chips were nice and crispy but had no salt or seasoning on them; the shrimp quesadillas were a great simple starter as well. For the main course we got Enchiladas and Alambre both were delicious. They give you a lot of food here we took at least half home with us. For Desert we tried the Tres Leches which was perfectly moist and delicious.. a prefect way to end such a big meal. In all El Lemon has some great simple Mexican food it was also really cheap and only cost us 40 dollars for the whole meal. For the price and service I would highly recommend stopping here. read more

The quickness and freshness of the food will send your tastebuds to another dimension. The red sauce and green sauce will make you feel the heat. Its like someone turned up the thermostat.
