This was the smallest portion of nachos ever & barely any meat & it was still $11...

I ordered the half nachos texanos, thinking like all the other Mexican restaurants I've been to it would be a decent portion, wrong. This was the smallest portion of nachos ever with barely any meat and it was $11...

I've been to this cozy establishment many times and it never disappoints! Always seated quickly, a huge menu of options to choose from, food comes quickly, and no matter what I get - it always tastes delicious! There's tables and booths on one side, a bar and high top seating on the other side, and an outdoor patio where they sometimes play some fun upbeat music! Servers are always nice, prompt and hard working. It definitely can get busy in there and pretty packed at times, but the food is more than worth it! I'll keep coming back - and keep bringing friends too!

We absolutely love coming to this place! Food is always great! Friendly staff and food comes out fast, normally. They get busier during the peek times. Otherwise you usually get in and out pretty fast. I highly recommend this place!

I had the half order of texano nachos. So much steak, chicken, and shrimp! It had such a great flavor!

The food is so good! Outdoor dining was so nice! Our waiter carried plates all the way up his arm! I would definitely recommend.

Great food, great service and even has some American favorites like hamburgers or chicken strips for the kids who won't eat anything else!

Greasy. Greasy. Greasy. Floors and table sides. Chimichanga. Greasy. Waiter asked why I didn't eat it. Then rolled his eyes at me!!

Altos Cantina Mexican Kitchen is an awesome restaurant to grab some dinner at!…read more I tried this one for the first time on a visit to Eureka, and it was a great experience. The menu is massive, and they have a ton of margaritas and other cocktails (sadly I couldn't enjoy this time - had to drive). I tried the Camarones à la diabla and the enchiladas verde. Both were very good. The enchilada verde sauce was really tasty complimented the meat and cheese well. The camarones à la diabla was also delicious, and not overwhelmingly spicy. The portions are pretty generous, and our waiter was very friendly - the prices are also super reasonable. If you're in Eureka and want a good sit down Mexican restaurant, check them out.

She was attentive. I decided on a lunch taco salad. Reasonable price but it definitely fell short. This was the smallest shell I've ever seen and the ingredients were lackluster. Not inviting and very bland. The shredded chicken reminded me of tuna and only sour cream came as a dressing. I was not impressed at all. I'm not sure how you are a Mexican bar but do not serve flights. I settled on a frozen strawberry banana margarita. It was just ok. Consistency was more liquid than frozen thick. . Overall visit was just ok.

I'm sorry I didn't take any photos, I was meeting some people for lunch that I don't know well and didn't want it to be awkward. LOL! I ordered the quesadilla fiesta which is described on the menu as "Large quesadilla filled with your choice of steak or chicken, black beans, corn, cheese and chipotle sauce. Served with lettuce, sour cream, pico de gallo and masita." I ordered this with the steak and it was very flavorful and tender and plentiful. The corn was charred and everything came together into delicious bite after delicious bite. It was served with a small salad with sour cream and pico de gallo with mango. This quesadilla was a cut above any quesadilla I've ever had before. I'm really looking forward to coming back and trying more menu items and although I don't get to Eureka very often, I will now. Service was very friendly and efficient, they really couldn't have been any nicer. And I really liked the decor of the restaurant. It is beautifully done. You will find the biggest fan you've ever seen inside and some delightful lighting fixtures. They also get bonus points for having diet Dr Pepper!!

Our server was not very friendly at first and she didn't even tell us her name she was a older lady tho, Kids ordered the kids enchilada plate with beans and rice and also a kids cheeseburger with fries. I ordered the Baja wraps. I got one chicken one shrimp, I also ordered the number eight that came with a tamale and an enchilada. My oldest daughter got the shrimp enchilada plate, but switched out the shrimp for steak. I can honestly say the service was terrible. My son who is special needs had to keep getting up to get his drinks refilled. She went to everybody's table checking on them except for ours and anytime my kids would ask questions. It was almost like she was annoyed with them. When the food arrived my plate looked disgusting The tamale was crumbled not even a whole tamale. It had ground beef all over the top, no cheese and a brown sauce. It honestly looked like canned dog food. My daughter's cheeseburger the first time before they've remade. It had no cheese on it so we gave it back so they could add cheese when they brought my daughter's cheeseburger back. It was burnt to a crisp. She even tapped it on the table and it was loud. Now for the good parts, the Baja wrap was phenomenal as well as my daughter's steak enchilada with queso on top. The rice was well seasoned as well as the beans and my son enjoyed his very much. I did not eat my tamale enchilada, rice, or beans because I sent that whole plate back. I am very glad that I ended up ordering the Baja wraps. My only suggestion would be to make sure they don't overcook the chicken in the chicken ones to prevent them from drying out the shrimp ones. Hands-down were absolutely amazing when she brought us the check. They did remove the plate I sent back, but she tried to charge me for three kids meals instead of two when I showed her, she seemed annoyed yet again she brought me back the check I went upfront to pay and we had to stand and wait again on her.We drove 40 min away to try this place and it was kinda a let down
