    Chilaquiles with green sauce

My new favorite place for Mexican food. A family owned business with a friendly ambiance & great service. This new restaurant is at the bottom of the Tilden hotel. I've been here a few times now for breakfast and dinner. The jamaica, quesabirria tacos, chilaquiles with green sauce & Mexican style steak are my favs so far. Fresh ingredients & made to order. If you like a sweet breakfast, the Mariachi concha is good too. They also make yummy cafe de la olla & horchata.

Always have had the best customer experience of my life here, and it's been avoid 4 times I've come. Tonight, I had the 3 tingz tostadas (pictured) and they were amazing. Aside from their fantastic menu, the drinks and food make it 10/10 I think the place recently changed ownership to 3 brothers, and well I love them. Check them out if you want a great atmosphere, tasty cocktails and tastyyyyyy food!

This place is an absolute gem! From the moment you walk in, you're welcomed with some of the warmest, most genuine hospitality I've experienced. The owners are incredibly kind and clearly care about their guests. The food was delicious! We got the chilaquiles for breakfast and they were so flavorful. The waiter told us that their grandma is the main cook, so that's how you know everything is authentic. Everything was fresh! The decor is vibrant, inviting, and full of character. Amazing food, outstanding service, beautiful space, and the nicest owners you could hope for. This is the kind of restaurant that makes you want to come back again and again. Highly recommend!

Came here on Mother's Day . I don't know why my brother in law would pick this place ? It a little hole in the wall which doesn't bother me . The customer service was nonexistent! What's bothering me is this place smelled of bleach so bad it smelt like a toliet. It is a total assault of the senses ! the mixto fajitas are what I ordered but was honestly scared to try them my daughter got hers first and I immediately panicked I tried one bite and got a never so I was given the chicken Milaneseand it was just ok but while I was eating the waiter came up to my table asking who Tanya was and he started reading my review back to me as if that would get me to change my review just because he embarrassed me in front of my family .well it didn't it just made me angry . Leaving the restaurant was worse than coming in I almost had a junkie run into me and had to avoid stepping in shit all the way back to the car apparently they liked their plates .. I guess he picked this spot because he thought they were going to have live mariachis but they didn't .in conclusion I definitely would not recommend this restaurant. Later I found out my brother in law wrote a raving review of this place just to cancel my review out . He has no standards. I will never apologize for having standards ! Very unprofessional of the waiter to try a move like that !m never ever coming back . Hey can have this restaurant! I much rather go to an establishment like Tommy's Mexican restaurant that has stood the test of time for the garlic shrimp and the huge tequila selection. ! It's up to you .......

Was in town with the family and decided to stop in for lunch. We had a party of 7 and were seated immediately. The server who is also one of the owners was extremely friendly and helpful with the menu. This is a family owned restaurant and they treat you like family. The food was excellent and all homemade. We had chilaquiles, alambra and the quesobirria tacos. Tortillas are homemade and so are the salsas and guacamole. Pineapple aguafresca was amazing. After our meal we received a slice of the tres leches cake and it was so good. I highly recommend this place and please support family owned.

Perfect place for Mexican foood and nice pictures! The dishes are so pretty and super cute ( I forgot to take pictures). They make their food so seriously too! Portions are large and food tastes so great! Will def come back again. Oh and our server was suppper nice! He really made our day. Super glad that we came here.

Chicken taco, pork taco, and beef taco.

I'm sorry what's with the good reviews.... Maybe I went on a bad day but they only had tacos at 11pm. I didn't mind since it was so late got every taco and came to my hotel to eat it. Service was nice but unfortunately was a waste we did not finish our tacos... they tasted like literally nothing. Dry meat and unseasoned. I'm thinking it might've been a bad day for them since the great reviews. I will say service was great tho

Amazing and authentic Mexican food. Really feels like your eating in moms kitchen . A true gem in the heart of the Tenderloin!

Best salsas, the pickled onions are the best

Came for a little vacation from Lompoc and stayed at the Tilden Hotel, and we stopped by at El Mariachi SF, best food hands down, we have been here 3 times so far in the last 2 days, we tried las tostadas de Tinga, el burrito Mariachi, the quesabirrias, the chilaquiles, the Mole is the best Mole I have ever had, the service is great, the ambiance, the music, the drinks, everything was perfect, will definitely be coming back

For drinks we got a hot and cold matcha latte, cappuccino, and a Jasmine milk tea. My favorite had to be the Saigon steak, the steak was so juicy and tender! Love the sunny side up egg on top, we dipped the steak in the yolk I loved the matcha latte, we got it with 0% sweetness and it was perfect for us. Helped wash down all the delicious food! Buisness was also popping on Sunday! We kept seeing people line up and wait for a table. Despite how busy it was, our food and drinks came out pretty quick. Great Asian fusion brunch menu and I especially loved the signature drinks here!…read more I love when you can make reservations for a popular brunch place instead of being forced to walk-in and wait. I made a reservation via Yelp for 3 people on a Saturday at 11:15am. My table was ready on time and they seated me even though our full party was running late. I got the Omelette Fried Rice (4.5/5), that came with delicious sriracha bacon, and an okay salad on the side. For my drink, I got the strawberry matcha latte with oat milk (5/5), which was fantastic. It's on the sweeter side, which worked for me. It was fairly busy and a bit loud inside. The dining room is long and narrow but has a decent amount of seating. Service was good, and friendly.

In my opinion Lapisara ranks in the middle due to the other excellent options available. Seated immediately--had a reso but on a Wednesday morning not really necessary. It took a long time for the single employee to get to us but we weren't in a hurry. Cappuccino was very good in a cute "bear mug" and very reasonably priced. We shared a pacific omlet--not much crab, lots of shrimp, and nice swiss cheese/scallions but tasted kind of fishy--potatoes were only avg. Son said huevos rancheros were average. Price point good for SF and portions adequate to share. Location convenient so we will try dinner there tonight before a comedy show nearby. Dinner-5++ stars; 4 of us Had dinner last night-6pm-reso but not needed. only one other group dining. Single Waitress was great-we let her know we needed to leave in about an hour for a show and she timed everything perfectly--we even had time for dessert. we ordered so many items that she brought over an extra table--we shared everything family style. Most Yelp reviews only mention brunch but the dinner was awesome--service; food: taste/quality, presentation, portions, prices we phenomenally low for SF ($200 with a bottle of wine for 4 people). We started with the garlic butter clams-small but tasty. Tuna tartar was excellent quality and enough to share. Samosas were more like empanadas--very good with peanut sauce so good it rivaled my own home made. We continued our culinary adventure with crab fried rice-delicious, a large portion and my son who lives in SF and has tried dozens of crab fried rice ranked it in the top tier. The pacific catch rice noodles with crab was also excellent-big portion, lots of crab, tasty. Final entree was their specialty-Mussaman Curry. Wow, tender meat/potatoe "stew" with a very unique flavor from the star anise/cinnamon and peanut--to die for. Creme Brulee was very good with lots of fresh fruit accompaniment My only complaint was a very limited wine selection. Lapisaia will become one of our regular spots for dinner!!!
