She completely forgot about us.She was extremely rude and had an attitude with us and we had a lot of people with us which we were going to spend a lot of money ... I understand you are busy but you can't just forget about your table... If you wait in the "bar area" you can't just have a drink and wait for your table you HAVE to order food even if you want a table .. If you want to drink you have to drink it either standing up outside or standing in the bar area . I think it's ridiculous. if you want us to have a meal in the bar area you can but it's small and the service isn't great. I just haven't had a good experience the three times i've been and the chiapas aren't consistent in taste as the first two times i came they were horribly tart and then the third time this time was good. My family and I visited this location on a Sunday and we really enjoyed it. The service was spot on and engaging and the food was delicious. The watermelon house margarita was amazing. Although be careful, their margs seem stronger than most to me. They squeezed our party of 7 into a round table to comfortably seats 6 which in hindsight I wouldn't requested we be seated at one of the many larger and visibly open tables that would be more comfortable. The Shrimp Ceviche was very good and a generous portion. The Lobster Cream Sauce on the Pesca Enchiladas was excellent. I would have preferred these be made on a lighter, flour tortilla. El Mirasol is new to the Keon Springs area with other locations in San Antonio. I've been twice, once for dinner and the second time for lunch. Dinner was good, lunch not so good. The food was not as good at lunch, part of which was reflected in the staff. There were plenty of staff, but they weren't paying attention. Our lunch took awhile and when served you could tell it had been sitting in the window. The ambiance is very nice, a pretty place. Prices not too bad. read more

We had to wait 30 minutes for our waiter to show up to our table. And at the end of our dinner our waiter was not able to give us our check until 1 hour after we were done with our food. Where to even start?! I love this place. The service and food is always great even on the busy days. Definitely the best Mexican food spot in this part of town. The other spots just don't compete. I've tried more than 10 dishes here and all of them have been delicious(except one: stay away from the Guisado Ranchero. The sauce is terrible. It just tastes like tomato out of a can lol). Some of the best customer service I have ever received! From the hostess, the servers, the food runners, and more. We decided last minute to go as a friend group. One family of 2 kids under 3 and another mom going out for dinner for the first time with her newborn. They helped us maneuver the packed restaurant, and when we realized the table wasn't going to work out, they immediately helped us move to another table with room for a stroller and high chairs. No questions asked. The server was quick, polite, and very helpful. The food and drinks were delicious! Which we expected nothing less based on experiences at the other locations. The restaurant is beautiful and the food is amazing. My boyfriend had the Carne A La Tampiqueña, which he said was perfectly cooked and one of the best he ever had. I had the Chile Poblano Al Carbon. It was a bit salty for me, but overall very good and unique. Maverick, our server, was kind and attentive as well. Two small inconveniences about this location: parking is tight and the noise level inside makes it hard to hear your server and table mates. (We were there on a Friday night around 7 though, hard to avoid anywhere) read more

I've been meaning to try the original location for a long time but have never made it over there. This location opened up recently near me and I decided to try it today to go. I ordered the fajita tacos and I thought everything was very tasty and fresh. The beef was tender, tortillas fresh, and I was a big fan of the salsa, its different from what I'm used to. Food is fairly priced as well, and the restaurant itself is designed nice too. I'm glad to have this resturant nearby I can put in my lunch rotation during the week. read more

The new 'Em Mirasol is open. First thing I noticed is it is a good size restaurant with a nice outside 'em seating area as well. Then I noticed activity after clients left their table - the tables in booth areas are pulled out and the floor is cleaned with attention to the job, seats are wiped and top of table well cleaned. Impressive Husband had an enchilada plate with 3 enchiladas each one with different sauce. He said they were very good I had chicken enchiladas (2) with poblano sauce - they were good; I would have again. I was especially pleased chicken was white meat. Seriously, this place is loud. So loud that my wife had to say "WHAT?" on several occasions. So loud that my Apple Watch gave me an alert that noise was over 90 dB and was unsafe for my hearing. RIP your hearing if you work hear. are thinking of coming here for an intimate dining experience, this won't do. You know the rave scene in the movie "Man On Fire"? That is what this location of El Mirasol reminds me of. We've dined at the other location and were hoping this place would have similar ambiance, but no. They need to turn down the music and add some serious sound absorbing material to make this place less strip-mally, even though it is in a strip mall. Now that I have that out of the way, let's turn to the service. I'd give that 4 stars. The waitstaff was accurate, timely and friendly. Food was prepared quickly and delivered hot. Good stuff there. The food, you ask? The food was simply fantastic. 5 stars. I had the shrimp tacos that were stuffed with shrimp. Prepared perfectly. No joke, it is the best Mexican food I've eaten in a very long time. In hindsight, I'd wish we had been seated outside in the 90+ heat. We'll come back here when temps are cooler and ask to be seated outside. Altogether, I give it three stars. Even with the fantastic food, the dining experience with the noise made it unpleasant. read more

If you enjoy restaurants that are so loud you cannot hear the person sitting next to you, this may be the place for you to bring your mother-in-law. The metal ceiling caused the extremely loud music and guests who were trying to talk over the music to be excruciating. I felt sorry for little babies who were being brought to this restaurant because it was so loud. We requested to sit outside because the interior of the restaurant hurt both of our ears, but the patio was just as bad. The restaurant cranks the music up so loud you cannot even here your guest outside. The last thing about the ambiance that made this restaurant A 1 star rating was their heating lamps located on the ceiling did nothing to warm you but were rather like a police spotlight in your face that blinded you. My husband and I were quite shocked by this restaurant because we had been to the other locations in San Antonio that were quite but this one we will never come back to again unless it is during lunch during the weekday. read more
