RUN AWAY!!! Prices are ridiculous. They charge 182 dollars for a diagnose, Auto Zone can probably do for free. Advisor at this location wanted to charge me 860 for breaks. He said my car needed a break fluid change and it took them from 7:15 am to 4 pm to give my car back. In addition, he wrote on the receipt that i had concerns that i never mentioned. BE AWARE!!! of the receipt and notations. They fix the receipts to their own convenience. read more

I would never come back again. Came to look at a car and we got the price down to where I wanted but on the last print out they switched the APR on me. I did the calculations one more time before signing and noticed the numbers were not right. I called out the salesmen and requested the manager. The manager apologized for swapping out the APR, they said it was a mistake. So BEWARE, they might drop the price but change the numbers somewhere else to make up for it. Make sure you bring someone that knows how to calculate monthly payments and APR because this dealer cannot be trusted. They take advantage of people who don't know how to calculate car payments. Sketchy people. Found a car I wanted to see on this website called True Car, I submitted a request for more information and a sales person contacted me shortly after. (I finance through School's First, so I'm able to get a "certificate" for what the car is sold at so there isn't any haggling or negotiation involved). I was asked if I could make an appointment soon to check out the car. This was on a Sunday and I wouldn't be able to look at the car until the following Saturday. I was asked multiple times to make an appointment for sooner because they "wouldn't want the car to be gone" before I got a chance to look at it. I politely declined a sooner appointment, and offered to check in later in the week to make sure the car was still there. The sales person told me that they'd make the appointment for Saturday and would let me know if the car was sold before then. Then comes Saturday. I received a text in the morning to confirm my appointment for later that afternoon. I was told to ask for a different person than the one I was originally speaking to. A couple of hours later, I received a call and a voicemail from original sales person. They said they had been speaking with [different person] and if I could kindly call them back. I did, no one answered, so I left a message. No call back. This was about 2/3 hours prior to my appointment. I still thought it was safe to assume the car had not been sold; big mistake on my part. I then drove about 40 min to this dealership arriving on time to my appointment. I asked for [different person] and they come out and introduce themselves. They tell me that I'd actually be working with the original sales person. I think, great! Someone I've already been speaking with. Original sales person comes out, is very polite and starts to walk me out to the lot. They ask me to remind them what car I was looking at. I tell them, and their face falls. "Oh no.. that car was actually sold at.." *quickly checks phone for the TIME, I assume* "..12pm today". I tell them that I was supposed to be contacted if that car was sold before my appointment and they said, "Oh! I had NO idea!". Should have been a big red flag and my cue to get the heck out of there. I had no idea what to say, but they did lol. They quickly apologized and then asked where I drove from. I told them and they said what I can only assume is a classic sales move, "well, you did just drive all the way over here; why not look at some other cars?!". I should have left hahaha. For about about 45 min, we looked at other cars and I found one that had all the features I wanted but was about 4K over my budget. They said they'd talk to their manager and see about getting the price lower. I'm already wanting out but sales people say all the things they can to get you to stay. It is their job and I respect that, but this was the kind of thing I wanted to avoid and the reason I go through True Car. So we go back inside and they start asking me about the monthly cost and what I'd be able to afford. I tell them and they try to get me to "work with them" and blah blah blah. After some haggling from them (precisely the thing I wanted to avoid), the final boss comes out- their manager. They talked a lot of numbers/information so I don't remember a lot of what they said but they basically went over some of my personal information such as my credit score and the total cost of the car. I told them multiple times that the total cost was too high, and that I was already pushing it with the budget I had given them earlier. I then mentioned to final boss this time, that I had gone there to look at a specific car. When I told them which one, they said, "oh, that was actually sold last night at an auction...and you didn't want that car anyway, it had a faulty transmission". ????????huh?????? So are you telling me that if I had gotten an appointment sooner like original sales person had wanted me to, that you would have knowingly sold me a car with a faulty transmission?? But only now, because that car was sold anyway- you willingly tell me that it did? SKETCHY. Said goodbye after that, they respected my decision to leave. I only spent an hour and a half there, thank God it was no more than that and the final boss tried to guilt trip me by saying that their sales people worked on commission and wouldn't get paid if they didn't sell. Oh sure, lemme buy a CAR as to not waste your sales person's time and make sure they get paid. Yeah, riiiiiiiiight. Needless to say, I will not be coming back. read more

Please don't come here for service. My fiancé had some issues with her car. Specifically, her car wouldn't shift out of park. It was kinda weird because her car only had 55k. We went here for service. They charged us approximately $700. We were shocked a little bit but paid the money because she needed her car. Once we got the car back, all of a sudden there was a problem with the lift gate. It would not lock. Called them to find out if they did something to the car when it was there for repairs. We took it back. They diagnosed the issue: said that the lock actuator is bad. Said it would cost $1000. They also, all of a sudden said the battery was bad because of the cold. They did not say that before. We had enough with all of these "problems." Got the at back. We went to autozone to take a look at the battery. They said that the battery was at 0%. They were going to charge $150 for the battery with installation. I was not having it. I went online and found out that Costco was selling the batter for $70. Went to buy the battery and installed myself. Guess what happened after that? No more problems with my lift gate. Worked perfectly. There was no issue with my shifter. There was no issue with my lock actuator. It was the battery. A battery that cost $70. Please don't go to them. If you do, please get a second opinion because they will just hustle you. They gave their full attention to the concerns I had with my car and felt the frustration I had that two other Nissan dealerships could not figure out what was wrong with my car. Keith and Edgar made me feel so relaxed that I knew right away that my car was finally in good hands. And after several hours they were able to make my car run like it was brand new. Poor service, a salesmen should attempt to resígnate with their customer, build rapport, listen and offer options if needed. This is just skimming the surface on selling. Took our 2010 Nissan Murano for transmission issues, long story short do not buy any Nissan with CVT transmission you will regret it, we had the transmission replaced back in 2015, keep in mind we use this vehicle as a spare since my mom doesn't really drive far. We only put around 13k miles on the brand new transmission & it's going out once again. I call Nissan if they can check it out, then they charge me 180 just to tell me that the transmission is no good & that we need another one but the warranty does not cover it. Nissan has once again let us down but not to worry we will be getting rid of the vehicle, & will never be buying another Nissan. read more

Took my new pathfinder for scheduled maintenance and the dealer did not wash my car as they said they were. Policy is any car that gets maintenance at there dealership also gets washed also the documentation said tire rotation and they did not do it but put it on the reciept as if they did . I know it wasn't done because I removed the front air valve cap as a means to identify my tires that were in the front. Very sad that el monte nissan still try to do shady buisness read more

I had such a bad experience at El Monte Nissan, to begin I was already given a hard time due to not getting the recommended services done, was told a hour and 45 min to get the vehicle done the car was done before hand walked up to the advisor to ask for a update and was told need to wrap up paper work then I hear him talk out loud I told him 1 hour 45 min I got plenty of time. I don't appreciate waiting for my vehicle especially for him to just talk and gossip with his coworkers about other subject non related. Truly a bad experience will not go back. I decided to give the dealership a chance and I truly regret it the person who helped did not seem to care about his customers and is only focus on selling seemed like I was mis treated due to not buying any services!!!! Service advisor: John Kuo I've been loyal to the Nissan dealer service department for 9 years, but they've lost my business today. Why? -Came in to do a simple oil change due to a coupon emailed to me which they would not honor because it was presented during payment, rather than during booking. Rejected coupon due to 'fine print' (Fine print said to present offer to redeem, but did not indicate when to present said offer). I did not pursue this because it frankly isn't worth my time/effort to make a scene. However it does show the employees here will attempt to use any loophole to scam their customers. I would rather write a bad review to deter others from coming here, and do my service somewhere less slimy. read more

Buyers, please be aware of this shady dealer's business practice. The dealer pre-installed aftermarket alarm system on all new cars and attempt to charge it during the finance portion during buying process. Not sure if this is a legal.. If you dont want the pre-installed alarm, dealer will uninstall it which mean they will rip your new car a part to quickly remove the alarm. The finance guy works there is a joke as well. Tried to sell all kinds of crap during the closing process. Accidentally bought a gap addendum and I requested to cancel the gap addendum very next day. Now, couple weeks gone by and multiple emails and phone calls, still unable to receive confirmation of the canceling the gap addendum. Please avoid this dealer. read more

Took my vehicle in for a check because there was a indicator that stated my transmission was overheating. After keeping my car for 3 days without a call and mind you I use this as a company vehicle it's a cargo van. I had to call several times to check the status of it and when I got a hold of my service agent he lied that they would double check again to see what was wrong with it. Then came up with some story about how there is nothing wrong with it and that we must of tripped it somehow by pushing a button?! Now that sounds like the most bogus thing ever. Not only that when I went to pick it up they misplaced my keys and had to look for it while they lied to me saying they would wash the car for me. Needless to say 30 min later I finally got my car back and of course it was not washed. This dealer has terrible service. They lie and lie and lie again. Not trustworthy at all. read more

I had stopped by the dealership, just to look around, I was in the market for a new truck, and was approached by Alexander almost immediately. He was very polite, and set in a very professional attitude. He was receptive to my questions, and even insisted we at least take a couple different trucks out for a test drive, and we did just that. I left after that , shortly after leaving I recieved a couple text from Alexander with some pictures of trucks with different options and some numbers. So the next day I had planned on going back to the dealership, as I did and found a truck. Alex was very helpful through the whole process, he acted as a translator for the finance process, as he was well versed in finance jargon. There were a couple snags but again Alex went above and beyond to assure I was completely satisfied with my New truck. I took my car here to fix a recall and who knows if they really fix it. They told me there was a lot of things wrong with my car and I need to fix certain things. It turned out they lied and didn't check my car at all. They checked off anything they could think of. Just because I'm a girl they thought I didn't know much about cars. Well, guess what? I took my car to another dealer and they checked my car and everything was fine. Don't be shady and pretending to look at people's car when you didn't. You know if something goes wrong you could get a lawsuit. If you need to fix your car I suggest you go elsewhere. This place charge a dime and nickel and triple the amount you should pay. Went to pick up my car and was told a different price. I looked through each line of service and they tried to tack on an additional labor service cost that was another $300. Had to confront the service rep (thankfully he was still there) and he tried to play it off like it was a discount they didn't apply. Read your invoice line by line when you get your car back. The WORST car buying experience. Im no genius but when negotiating the price, I pointed out several errors in their calculations and logic. Then they have NO IDEA about the state and federal incentives for electric vehicles while trying to sell me one. Good thing I had done my research beforehand, I feel for the next schmuck who has questions that they cannot answer. The female finance manager (who is brand new to this dealer, I won't name her but there are only 2 and the other is a male) seriously has no idea what she's doing and has zero interpersonal skills. We went thru my documents without a single smile and I had her confirm one thing about 12 times because it didn't look like she knew what she was talking about. Anyways, I'm here today to pay off my car/lease buyout. Checkbook in hand, ready to pay. She tells me she can't take the payment and for me to go home and call Nissan Financing. I do just that and they tell me they absolutely can't do it over the phone and I need to do it at the dealer. WHAT. THE. F. So I'm back here and have been WAITING for over an hour and risk running late to my next errand on top of all the time I've wasted today already. But it honestly does not seem like they care because I complained to Luis (a guy in a suit, not sure who he is) and no apology, just handed me off. This was my first Nissan and only because I wanted an EV. My previous cars have been Toyotas and while neither are luxury cars, I am treated like royalty at Longo and loved my buying experiences there. I love my car. I was greeted and treated amazing..... at first. I should have listened to my instincts when I felt like they were lying to me. Hiro the manager kept lying to me that the car we leased was on its way. 6 hours later the wrong car gets there I have to redo the paperwork. I found damages on the paint, broke plastic on windshield. After 2 weeks of back and forth i decided to file a complaint with Nissan consumer service. I have yet to get a response from their investigation. Never allow them to give you a Due bill. Once you take possession of the vehicle you are on your own.
