Another fantastic visit to El Nido! We dined on the patio this time, which was lovely on a warm summer evening, though I still prefer the ambiance inside their beautiful space. The cocktails never miss. I had the limoncello spritz and it was perfectly refreshing. For my main, I went with the black cod, which was absolutely delicious. The standout for me was the crispy scallion and almond risotto cake underneath, so flavorful. El Nido continues to impress!

This is my shrimp tempura roll. Unbelievably delicious!

Everything was amazing, from the staff, to the food, to the atmosphere. Highly recommend!

Thrilled to find a five star experience! The back patio, the service, the food, the dessert, the drinks- wow! The highlights of this meal: we started with the buttermilk chickpeas - tasty lil fuckers. Those deep fried serrano peppers- yum! Artichokes - yummy! My friends had the oysters baked and raw and the way the green chile paired with these particular oysters was phenomenal. Entrees - the boys who got the burgers were super happy and gushing with flavor, textures and tastiness. Dessert- rave reviews! Wow! Best flourless chocolate cake we have ever had - hands down. Light, tender, fluffy but rich. Best in our entire life. We are still salivating. My mom got the flan and exclaimed it was the best flan she has had in New Mexico. Classic flan- perfectly executed. Drinks. They have blue cheese stuffed olives- you know what to do. Also, the el nido-rita was yummy! Overall- lovely evening, amazing, attentive and engaged service and clean, comfort food.

Stopped in for restaurant week and took a gamble. The location is great, as is the food, but our service was not. We were seated in an area that was not in the epicenter of the crowd, which was quite, a plus, but we received zero service. My adult beverage took 15 minutes to come, and we never received water refills. Hopefully, this was just an off day.

Absolutely fabulous meal and service from Nathan last night. The scampi appetizer was phenomenal, the broth so intense you will want to pick up the bowl and drink it. My three pepper ribeye with green Chile Demi glacé was delicious and way too much for one sitting even after cutting out all the fat that ribeyes are famous for. The cowboy Mac and cheese it came with is great and I enjoyed dipping the roasted veggies both in the Mac and in the Demi glacé. Hubby loved his perfectly medium rare filet and empanadas. Desserts were a triple chocolate cheesecake with raspberry sauce and a lovely lemon meringue tart which had consistency like key lime pie. All were top notch. It is very pricey but for a special occasion a wonderful place to visit. Edited to add: I forgot to mention how great the patio is. The tables are very well spaced for social distancing and the patio is shielded from the elements, they have heat lamps though the night we went you wouldn't have needed them. The inside was really large and spread out as well but I'm glad we dined on the patio. It's about a ten minute drive from Santa Fe but totally worth it.

Had a wonderful dinner here, everything was amazing! The ambience was very nice, and the servers were friendly and knowledgeable. We had the Brussels sprouts as an appetizer, my boyfriend had the lamb special, and I had the salmon entree. Everything was cooked perfectly and paired with delicious sauces/sides. We also tried the cheesecake and the espresso martini. Absolutely no complaints about anything!

Food here is fantastic. If you are in Santa Fe and staying out of the city, this place is a hidden gem waiting for you to discover. TLDR: Open for Dinner only Large space, offering a traditional Japanese menu and American/Mexican menu - you pick one but I think you might be able to try both menus depending on their capacity. Food was five stars from appetizers to dessert - everything was well made, delicious and beautifully presented. Highlight: Caesar Salad - it was served with pickled anchovies - classic with a twist and a refreshing experience They had a cod special - the sauce was very southwest flavors, and I enjoyed the quality of the fish - cilantro really highlighted the dish. And to finish, the flan is a must. We also wanted to try the chocolate cake but they were out - so it must be a popular item. Come try it! Your foodie self will surely be satisfied.

Our friend recommended this place. It's in Wall Street Journal few weeks before we came to town. I'm very pleased with my order, the Beef Wellington. Well done!

Happy Hour runs twice daily with reduced prices on food & beverages from 3-5p and 9-10p. They have an extensive sake menu categorized by flavor profile designed for pairings, along with a lean but modern wine list including detailed tasting notes. Japanese whisky and exotic green tea (try the kuki cha!) round out a full beverage program, and deep booths offer private views of the lush valley below. Chef Kiko Rodriguez offers a four-course tasting menu at an exceptional value for $65 - trying this or any of Paloma's suggestions from their fresh sushi menu (only restaurant in New Mexico with fish flown in from Japan daily) will surely please. Gloriously chilled tuna sashimi was thinly sliced cut with heat from fresh wasabi and a savory ginger shoyu. Hand rolls are served in pairs, and the spicy tuna was simple, elegant, and delightful - a perfect showcase of the freshest fish. Before switching to dessert, shaved ginger is also snappy and cleansing. I was absolutely mind blown by the Sakura Pannacotta - delicate and dreamy custard textured like chawanmushi with soft aromatic cherry blossom and the most delectable shortbread accent. Three light courses that were fully nourishing, absolutely satisfying, and delightfully delicious!

The other specialty roll we tried was the Green River roll which was pictured on the menu but not listed on the menu. This one actually came with 10 pieces of sushi which was a great deal for sure. Service was great and fast. We ordered a total of 4 rolls and they staggered the delivery of them in such a way that we were able to enjoy them and not feel overwhelmed by the amount of sushi pieces that we had to eat. This way they were also very fresh as soon as we were ready to enjoy a different roll. The restaurant is located inside a shopping center building and while it's an older building the restaurant itself was clean and inviting. We were quickly able to sit down and proceed with ordering our food. Give them a try if you're in Santa Fe. Tasty and fresh ;)

The goodness began with Naomi, who helped me fix an error in my reservation and get a table at a good time tonight. The goodness continued with our server Mitzi, who should be teaching graduate classes in hospitality in every big city. She was friendly without being overbearing, informative without being pedantic, subtle and gracious. Now, the food! My wife chose the vegetarian tasting menu and I had some of each dish: so very flavorful (a green salad with pears, a life-changing mushroom bisque [and I don't like mushrooms!], a chickpea croquette with pickled artichoke hearts and ratatouille, and a substitution of the lemon crepe for three yummy scoops of sorbet and gelato. I chose the scallops, perfectly cooked and moist, over couscous, and a dish of tasty sauteed baby spinach. A wonderful experience, and not overpriced, and everyone treated us sweetly. The musical soundtrack was swinging, and at a compassionate volume. Our first trip to Santa Fe, and we found a gem. Hooray! And thank you, Mitzi!

The interior is classy and very comfortable. We were seated at a nice comfy corner booth. The soft music in the background was soothing and just noticeable enough without being a distraction. We were served complimentary flutes of local sparking wine and a fresh baked bread basket and butter to start. We then ordered cocktails and three starters. First was a split plate of the endive smoked duck salad with a warm bacon vinegarette. Wow...this was nice and refreshing. This was followed by the crab dumplings with fresh corn and peas and lobster sauce. Delicious! The final small plate was seared foie gras on top of banana bread toast. This was very good. I miss foie gras. Unfortunately, it's banned in California. They had a 2023 Sea Smoke "Ten"Pi ot Noir on the wine list. This is one of the best Pinot Noirs produced in California and not easy to find. This was a no doubter and we ordered a bottle to pair with our entrees. My wife ordered their signature elk tenderloin for redemption because the restaurant the night before failed at executing this. I ordered the tomahawk pork chop. This was cooked to perfection with a nice thin crust on the outside and a perfect very light pink juicy center. We ordered a side of brocolini that was pan roasted with shallots and butter. Everything was very good and Michelin grade in our opinion. Lastly we ended the evening and split the tiramasu type of desert. My wife had the expresso martini and I had an 18 year old Glen Morangie scotch neat. The service was excellent and worth the splurge. This is a must when visiting Santa Fe.

I started with what I thought was going to be a plain Caesar salad, but when it arrived, it was served like a sushi or lettuce wrap. It was very creative and tasty! It made it much more fun to eat than the average salad. It was rich and topped with anchovies, like a true Caesar salad. I then had the peppercorn Elk tenderloin. I asked it be served as the chef recommended, which is medium rare. I am sometimes wary of medium rare, but this tenderloin was DIVINE! It was so moist and bursting with flavor. I loved it. The cocktails were creative and just as enjoyable as the meal. Other options for dinner apps include: cornbread, ahi crudo, mussels, and bison carpaccio. Mains: scallops, pan roasted Branzino, toasted masa gnocchi, grilled Maine lobster tails, duck leg confit, and a pecan coffee rubbed prime flat iron. I'm sure all of them would be amazing.
