The shop is tiny, but trust me- they will be growing and moving to a bigger space! Why? Because the food is just that good! We were so full when we left! Huge portions, great prices, nice attentive service. Everything you ask for when all you really want is to not cook. lol. The arroz con pollo was on special that night and I'm glad I picked it. The chicken was plentiful and cheese was delicious. My husband's burrito was exceptional as well. We will be back- this time on purpose.

I ordered a shredded chicken burrito and he ordered the beef burrito. They came out fairly quickly. My chicken burrito was barely lukewarm. I was expecting something hot. It had very little flavor. His ground beef burrito was similar. Very little flavor. Very little tomato or lettuce on the burritos . As far as the ambience goes, there is none. The lighting is fluorescent lighting on the ceiling and it's just too bright in there. They should consider pendant lighting with some warm lightbulbs to give it more ambience. I don't think we'll be back..

So, we simply had to stop in. It's interesting to note there's a large sign on the street, but no signage on the actual building. We were seated promptly and drinks were ordered. Chips and salsa were served. Thick, crisp chips and a hearty salsa. Not spicy, but good flavor. My wife ordered a taco salad. A substantial shell, stuffed with rice, lettuce, tomato, cucumber, chicken and topped with cheese and avocado. She brought half of it home. I ordered two flour tacos, one with chicken, one with steak. The tortillas were a bit of a disappointment. They were thick and barely heated. But the tortillas were stuffed. Chicken or beef, lettuce, tomato, and some grilled onions. Tasty. The only "fail" was the side of guacamole. To my taste, it was bland, lacking garlic, lime, any real seasoning. Still, it was a fine lunch. And we'll certainly visit again.

Service sucked, we had two different servers both trying to serve us and obviously weren't communicating with each other. I had to get up to ask for silverware and no one there seems like they wanted to be there. Food was okay, edible but disappointing Environment was loud, by all accords. Very odd music, not the traditional. Bright colors everywhere and tons of decoration. My girlfriend and I won't be back, and unless you're drunk and just looking for substance. I don't recommend

I decided to stop into Israel's Delicias De Mexico Gourmet which sits right alongside of Spring St…read morejust outside the heart of downtown New Albany. Today is Cinco de Mayo and I was feeling up to a delicious authentic Mexican meal. This restaurant has a variety of various Mexican dishes and albeit is rather pricey for their platters, which range from $19-$29 and appetizers from $8-$22. Also surprisingly I didn't find any sort of dessert at all unless there is a separate menu for that but I was never told that by my server, more on that later. The environment is one you'd expect of any authentic Mexican restaurant, a very colorful decor with lots of Mexican decor spread throughout with some Mexican music playing in the background to set the ambiance of this establishment granted I was sitting in the background of the seating area and couldn't hear this music if I were sitting in the front. On this visit, being my first, I decided to try the Nachos Delicias (Queso, tomato, onions, cilantro, sour cream and choice of chicken, chorizo and steak) I requested no onions and steak. I also tried their Quesadilla El Jefe Jeff (Stuffed with cheese, steak, shrimp, chicken, chorizo, bell peppers, onions, tomatoes, cilantro and sour cream) I requested no onions. The nachos were really nothing too terribly special outside of just being put in a somewhat fancy bowl to make them look or appear better than they were. They didn't taste too bad outside of finding the steak to not really be all that flavorful or seasoned. I feel for the price which was $18.50, that it could've been more for what I paid for. The quesadilla was absolutely worth it and was quite filling. Definitely the star of this meal however I was disappointed to find onion in my meal when I specifically requested there to not be. Outside of that is was quite good and something I'd order again. My biggest issue was there was only one server working and of all days it was on Cinco de Mayo which you as a Mexican restaurant should expect to be busy in which they were. Our server never once stopped to ask if we needed anything, no offer of dessert (which I am still not sure they offer) or even to ask if I wanted another drink. I don't see myself going out of my way to come here albeit it wasn't awful but the price for things was too much in my opinion. I feel that I've had better food for a lower price at other authentic Mexican restaurants. So just keep this in mind when deciding to stop here.

We we readily greeted, the place was pretty full but a few open locations. There is also a bar area and some seating there also. Host found us a booth and seated quickly. They brought chips and salsa, 1 mild, 1 hot. Soon our waiter stopped by for drink orders; nice selection but not overboard; something for all plus mixed drinks. Drinks were served and he took our food order. My wife ordered the BURRITOS SUPREMOS; One beef with bean burrito and One chicken with bean burrito. Both are topped with our burrito sauce or white queso lettuce, tomato and sour cream and I had ordered THE BIG ONE; This is the big one! Ground beef, shredded chicken or shredded beef, rice, beans, tomato, lettuce, sour cream topped with white queso. We chatted and enjoyed our drinks: soon our food was served to the table. WOW, did they look delicious; nice presentation and each a hearty serving. The entrees were delicious and as much as we enjoyed them we weren't going to finish. Waiter was great ( Balthazar, he was awesome) While there a kid had a birthday and the staff celebrated with him with a moment with a sombrero and a festive birthday candle and desert. They turn off the lights and sing happy birthday in Spanish. Definitely will be a place to come back to and visit. Everyone seemed to be enjoying their meals and libations!
