Very underwhelming for everything they were trying to be. For a speakeasy their cocktail manu seemed extremely basic as pictured here and when I asked to modify a recipe and asking about other liquors they had. The bartender told me it's his first night and wouldn't know where that was on the shelf. With so many speakeasy options in Fort Lauderdale I think this sits near the bottom of the barrel. The venue still looks a lot like unit B with a few risqué touches added. The ambiance seemed a little too bright from the main chandelier for a speakeasy vibe, and roof was leaking on our original table before we moved to the bar. On a positive the host and bartenders were attempting to give great and attentive service just the cocktails left a lot to be desired. If they get a real mixologist to create a new menu I'd give it another shot.

This, I believe, is my only 1 star review. I debated even bothering but because I feel so strongly about truthfulness and getting what you pay for- here it is. First- was excited about the cocktail menu as they describe themselves as an upscale tavern. I saw a cocktail with one of my favorite ingredients, Ancho Reyes Verde, which has a fantastic kick! I ordered the cocktail and then decided to ask about the proportions to determine my kick tolerance. Glad I did because I was then told that they don't have that ingredient and she just squirts in some Sriracha in its place. Big difference in my opinion and first strike. Second, after deciding to order wine instead, we ordered a Cesar Salad Tijuana. The menu clearly states "Charred Romain Heats." What we received resembled nothing more than a premade salad kit from a bag. No char, no grill, none of the anchovies as also stated on the menu. Strike two. Third, we ordered the Steak Fries. What we got was a poor version of Orieda crinkle cut. When I asked about the steak fries I was told they were out and were using the substituted crinkle cuts. Again, no telling us up front and not the same item as the menu. Strike three. Fourth, we ordered the Filet Mignon Sliders. As any foodie knows, filet mignon by its very nature is lean and not gristly. These were so fatty and chewy that I do not believe for one moment they served what was shown on the menu. I am all out of strikes to give.

    $43 very small and bland

Where do I begin ? Horrible service . Saw the server once throughout the entire dinner. Ordered mussels that were overcooked and missing half of the mussel in the shell . Ordered sole and was delivered sea bass which was very small no side yet $43 . Ordered scallops which looked like shrimp shumai and were delivered cold . Very expensive for what you get . Sad because it looks beautiful inside but food is horrific .

Amazing new beautiful sexy and romantic white tablecloth dining ambiance! We loved our food and drinks. Chef Mario is killin it with his gourmet, comfort food menu! The menu has something for everyone! El Pama is new and has a lot to offer! Fine indoor dining, full bar with high end liquors, outdoor cigar lounge, 2nd floor bar and lounge and loved the great music vibe! Our service was impeccable and the chef came out to see how our food was! The bar was managed by Frank who is very experienced and is proud of his high quality service! Many props and Congratulations to Fernando the owner for his creative vision!! Can't wait to go back!!

I had an incredible dining experience at El Pama Tavern. Great ambiance and Great vibe . Pleasant staff and fast service. The presentation was a 10 out of 10, the flavors complemented each other well. I definitely encourage others to check this restaurant out.

    Main menu

Ambiance is excellent. There's live music, an outdoor area with nice lighting, and a beautiful white piano inside. They just opened so it will very likely improve - the impossible white bean chili had no impossible anything in it.. it was white bean puree (the bowl was cup sized at best... hate to see the cup...). The drinks were pretty good. The chicken was also good. The carrots were kinda weird, were raw with some syrup water on them? Overall probably won't be going back BUT this place has potential and maybe one day I'll eat my words. Menus are below.

Parking was conveniently located right in front of the restaurant, making it an easy stop. As soon as we walked in, we were warmly greeted and invited to sit wherever we liked. We chose a table near the window and immediately appreciated the intimate and charming atmosphere. The restaurant also features a bar and televisions, creating a relaxed and welcoming vibe. Our waitress was pleasant, attentive, and made us feel right at home, which always enhances the dining experience. Although we weren't extremely hungry, the menu had so many appealing options that we decided to sample a few items. We started with the Caribbean Tea shots, which were unique, refreshing, and surprisingly enjoyable. For drinks, we ordered a Malbec and a Peanut Butter Old Fashioned. Our first entrée was the Churrasco Frites, featuring marinated skirt steak topped with chimichurri and served with twister fries. The steak was cooked perfectly, tender and flavorful, but those fries were the true star of the dish. Still wanting more, we ordered the Garlic Parmesan Twice Cooked Wings. They were nicely prepared and satisfying, though I would have enjoyed a stronger garlic flavor. Not quite finished, we moved on to the Oaxaca Burger, an 8 ounce burger stacked with onion rings, bacon jam, house BBQ sauce, and Oaxaca cheese. This was one of the best burgers I've ever had, and possibly the best. The bun was toasted yet soft, the burger was seasoned perfectly, and it was cooked to a juicy medium temperature. Every bite was packed with flavor. Overall, everything we ordered was excellent, and the service and atmosphere made the experience even better. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and look forward to returning.

It is located inside the hotel so as you walk in, you'll see a glowing blue neon sign that leads you to the hostess stand then through a corridor to the dining room, passing a beautiful jellyfish tank! Our server, Kevin, was fantastic. He was incredibly patient with our party of 8 and took the time to explain the different sake options, menu items, and desserts, making recommendations throughout the evening. I highly recommend starting with the Pan Seared Scallops. They were packed with flavor and served with pickled vegetables, crunchy nuts, and a sweet onion layed over a creamy white sauce that tied the entire dish together perfectly. The Lobster Bisque wasn't my favorite, as it leaned more toward a tomato-based flavor than I expected, but it did include generous chunks of lobster. For my entrée, I had the Chilean Sea Bass paired with the Shrimp Mac & Cheese and Green Beans, and everything was a 10/10. The sea bass was perfectly cooked and melted in your mouth, while the sides were large enough to share, making them perfect for bigger groups.

The menu hasn't changed much, but the food has always been consistent and generally good. Recently, my husband and I decided to try brunch again after several years. Our research showed that the bottomless mimosas could be upgraded to Moët for an additional $40 per person, which was one of the reasons we chose to come. Unfortunately, we were told this was no longer offered. Our server even took my phone, with the information clearly displayed, to the manager, who declined to honor it. Yelp reviews suggest we aren't the only guests who have encountered this. Promotions change, that's understandable. What was disappointing was the response. My philosophy in customer service has always been: if a customer presents reasonable evidence of an advertised offer, honor it, then correct the information going forward. After 20+ years as customers, we expected better handling of the situation.

We definitely received the All-Star treatment from the moment we entered. The bartender greeted us as the hostess welcomed us and wished us a happy anniversary. She led us to a booth and gave us a happy anniversary sign for our table along with a single rose and some table confetti. The little sign was so cute because every employee who walked by from the bus boys to the bartender wished us a happy anniversary. We started out with some cocktails. I had an Aperol Spritz , and my husband had an old-fashioned. He was super impressed with the huge selection of bourbons and whiskeys at the bar. Our server, Camila, told us about the "Sunday Steakboard" special where you could share a Porterhouse for $98. It also came with two salads. I wasn't really sure what a Porterhouse was, and Camila explained that it was a fillet and a strip steak all in one, but the bone is removed and it was served sliced. We decided to order that, and she said that we could change our salad choices because I did not want the Caesar, so I ordered a regular house salad. After we placed our orders; we were presented with some warm sourdough bread and artisan butters. The bread was yummy; but we wanted to save room for our meals. Next we were served the salads. They were fairly large and very fresh. The steak was definitely the star of the show though! It was sliced and seasoned to perfection! The filet pieces and the strip pieces were all delicious, they were super tender! We ordered the Fleming's potatoes, $19, to accompany our steak. The potatoes were served hot and bubbly in a little metal serving dish. They were awesome too and very cheesy! Everything was so delicious; but of course we had to order a dessert for our anniversary. We decided on the chocolate lava cake, $19. It takes a little longer to prepare , but it's so worth it! It was rich, warm, and gooey; plus it was served with a big scoop of vanilla ice cream and some fresh berries. We enjoyed everything about Fleming's Prime Steakhouse. The decor is elegant and there are many booths for an intimate dining experience. The service team was impeccable and Camila anticipated our every need. It's kind of expensive to add to our regular restaurant rotation; but we noticed that they have a great weekday happy hour; so we plan to come back and check that out soon.

Our waiter checked in on how we were liking our meal and even turned a hot latte into iced without any problem. The outdoor patio is beautiful as it overlooks the beach right across the street. We went for breakfast which has a small but amazing menu. As a vegan myself I had to order off the "sides" portion of the menu and I ordered an English muffin and a sliced avocado - very affordable ($5 total). I also ordered the fruit platter ($10) which came with an array of yummy fruits including pear, melons, pineapple, oranges, grapes and strawberries. There was more than enough for our table of three! My daughter had the pancakes which came with a warmed jam, syrup, and whipped cream. She said they were very fluffy. My husband had the chaffles which are croissants pressed in a waffle maker. They came with the same sides as the pancakes. And again he said they were so light and fluffy. We rounded off our meal with iced lattes - mine made with oat milk - and they were outstanding. I usually do not like iced drinks but the weather called for it and I was not disappointed! Overall Takato's breakfast is A+ and the view takes it over the edge of greatness! I hope you get a chance to enjoy it as much as we did! We returned to Takato for dinner and what an amazing meal we had. My one warning is to ask about portion size as many dishes are worthy of sharing size. We ordered an array of food. My son loved the kimchi short rib tacos (2 to an order). My daughter had the duck bao and California roll - both received two thumbs up! My husband had the wagyu sliders which he thought were an appetizer but ended up being a good sized meal served with french fries. He said the burger roll was a bit dry and could have used a sauce. The fries received rave reviews. We also had the mushroom gyoza (5 to an order) and these were delicious. I had the Takato salad without cheese and it did not disappoint. It came in a big bowl with crispy tofu. And I also enjoyed the vegetable sushi which provided a light fragrant taste with a crunchy texture. Takato hits the mark on all fronts and will definitely be a place to which we return whenever we come to Ft. Lauderdale!
