Chicken soooooo good, It makes you wanna slap your Daddy ( I know better than to even think about slapping my Momma lol )! Rotisserie chicken at it's best!!! I pass this place at least 10 times a week on my way to and from work, never thought twice about it until tonight. My laziness forced me back out of the house (I refuse to cook on Friday's) in search of something good to eat. I came across this place and decided to stop in, I ordered the chicken dinner; it came with 1/2 Chicken, rice, beans, kick ass potato salad, and flour totillas, you can also get your choice of hot or mild salsa ( I asked for both ). My first thought was, " what a weird combination of foods" but my taste buds didn't seem to mind, so I kept eating. It was enough food for 2 people, but I wasnt sharing. Fast and very friendly service, reasonably priced good food, they also have great family meals for those of you with a team to feed. Great little place. read more

Their roasted chicken is the best and pricing is even better. I came here for lunch and got their $5.99 lunch combo. The lunch combo includes chicken breast and thigh with potatoe sald, rice, five tortillas, and a small fountain soda. I'm really picky about roasted chickens because many times I've ended up with the a soggy chicken or really dry. The chicken was cooked just right with a nice well-seasoned crispy skin and moist. The potatoe salad was the second, really tasty. The meal is served with hot sauce made from scratch a bit spicy but good. I need to pay attention more often because I've passed this place many of times, they caught my attention by the amount of cars coming out of the driveway earlier today. I will be back. read more

As the consensus says... hands down their rotisserie chicken is amazing. As we have a Used Car dealership in Marietta by Delk Rd and Franklin Gateway, it's hard to find good restaurants close by so we normally drive a little to enjoy our meal. Unfortunately given the nature of business our colleagues do not have the flexibility to go out for an hour to eat. Hence, we often order from El Pollo Dorado. Order is quick so no need to order in advance. It normally takes about 6-8 minutes to get the order ready. We normally order rotisserie chicken with rice and potato salad. Don't forget to get the spicy sauce on side as well as get some fresh whole jalapeño. It's quite spicy so be careful. Rotisserie chicken is amazing! As well as rice and potato salad. If you're in the Marrietta area and you need a delicious meal for a great price don't pass on this one. The chicken has a delicious, crispy skin and the portions are huge for the price. I love this place. Would give the food 100 stars if I could. Juicy chicken, huge portions. The rice and beans are seasoned to perfection and so good. And the potato salad! I have no words for what is the best darn potato salad I have eaten. I would buy it by the gallon if I could. So why three stars? Well, access. I am disabled and walk with a rollator. The Marietta location (closest for me living in Smyrna) is not handicapped accessible. No parking, no curb cut. So I can't go in without risk of falling. Sadly not worth it. I wish they would partner with a delivery service. Doordash, Uber Eats, something! If they did, I'd order every week NO LIE. If they didn't have a curb I would go more often. Now I can only get my fix when my husband is in the "mood" to drive up and pick me up some. Which is too rare. Sniff sniff. read more

My wife works nearby so when I hang out with her on a Saturday I get this for lunch. The chicken is great, love the flavor and the crispy skin. Get the hot salsa and some corn tortillas and you're good to go, I wish I had one near my job I would eat there often. Only complaint is the same as most places that serve crispy chicken when you get it to go. They container should have holes in it to let the steam out otherwise you end up with soggy skin and lost the crispness. read more

Hands down - the best rotisserie chicken that I've ever tasted. I tried this place about a year ago based on Yelp reviews after passing by it for years. Since then I've been a fan and have referred it to several friends who have also enjoyed it. Last week I had an unpleasant experience. I called in my order on my way home after work to celebrate my son's birthday. I was told that it would take 20 minutes which would have been great timing. I arrived in about 20 minutes and there was a short line. After paying, it became apparent that they hadn't started prepping my order (chicken quesidillas and mini chicken pack) and it looked like someone dropped the ball so I waited over 20 minutes before receiving my food. When I was handed my food there was no acknowledgment or apology for the wait so I asked the server how I could insure that I avoid a wait on future call in orders. She looked at me puzzled and said she didn't understand English. The young lady behind the counter overheard, placed her phone order on hold and rudely chimed in with a chip on her shoulder and said that it was really busy so they got backed up. This is what I had a problem with. I understand that mistakes happen but please treat your customers with respect. I refuse to support a business who doesn't value customers. read more

Bad customer service, woman with glasses and curly hair & chubby looking wrongly judged a woman with her dog and made her feel really uncomfortable assuring the dog wasnt a service/emotional support dog & kicked her out. She was really rude and when i stepped in to explain how she cant just be rude about it and not to make her feel uncomfortable wiith all these questions. She turned really rude to me. As a fan of rotisserie chicken, especially Hispanic style, I was excited to discover El Pollo Dorado. We had driven by it a few times and finally decided to try it on Friday night. It was good, nothing to write home about though. Ordered 2 dinner meals so we each got a half a chicken, beans, rice, potato salad, tortillas,and salsa. The rice and bean were the best part, followed by the potato salad, and finally the chicken. The skin was nice and crispy and had a good flavor but the flavor did not seep into the chicken itself so without the skin, it was quite boring and bland. The Salsa added a little flavor but it was quite plain and watery. I can not say I will come back, I think there are better places to go to in the area read more

I tried them again just to see if I'd caught them on an off-day. The rotisserie chicken was flavorless on the inside and very dry. I know that breast meat tends to be dry, but this was pretty extreme. I will applaud them for the amount of food they give; however, between that extremely dry meat, dry rice, and watery salsa, it made for a very bad taco.
