OK it's August 30, 2020 and we've been in a pandemic for over a year but we're to a point where things are starting to lift, so I don't understand why a business would lock it stores so that you couldn't come inside. Used their app to order ahead for pick up in hopes of saving time. Got to this location and its the ONLY location (that I'm aware of) that still does not have its dining room open. The app has a cancel order option but when you select it it tells you to call the restaurant and provides you the number. The damn v/m is on and the number on the recording is a completely different number! So now here I sit in the drive-thru 20 cars deep to get my food! Then I get closer and see that they have a tiny hand written note the keeps flipping up in the wind that says CASH ONLY!! I don't know who is in charge here but..... Re-training is a must!! Absolutely the WORST El Polo Loco ever! Every time my wife and I go here because of our laziness we regret it. The food is always crap compared to other locations and they rarely get the order correct. Tonight was the last straw. Most the chicken in my tiny burrito was so burnt it was literally nothing more than crunchy black chunks.it was so bad I had to throw it away. I don't know if the cause of this location being so bad is the franchisee trying to stretch their dollar as far as possible, bad management or lazy employees but whatever the reason is they get to add another one star review to their pile! This is by far the worst experience I've ever had at an El Pollo Loco. The food was absolutely horrible. I drove through last night and picked up food. Nachos: completely soggy, chicken was old and not even chopped up just huge chunks of chicken thrown on to no cheese. Piece Combo: Chicken was the size of a pigeon. Cole slaw was mayo zero flavor. Salsa: Tasted like chopped up tomatoes no flavor. I have been eating at El Pollo Loco's for 20 plus years and this location is absolutely horrible! Whoever owns this franchise needs to get their act together. If you live in the area I would avoid this place. Needless to say we will never be going back to this location. This El Pollo Loco is always disappointing! Idk why I keep coming to this location. But definitely the last time! I did a curbside pickup and they opened the door just to tell me that I need to go through drive through. They informed me that they don't open the door after a certain time. Excuse me, it's 8:41 when I knocked on the door after putting on the app I was here. I waited in drive through for 18 minutes. My food was cold!!!! And I still had to wait in the window for my order 5 minutes. Definitely don't recommend this restaurant. Save your time and go to the one on Main or in Eastvale. This is the fairly new restaurant in the Stater bros parking lot across from the Shell station. This place is always dirty with fly's all over the place. The food is cold and the staff are not friendly and simply don't care. I walked in one night 1/2 hour until closing and was totally ignored by the lady working the counter, mind you I was the only customer in there. After asking if they were closed and being told no, I stood there about 5 minutes and walked out. Never will I return to this location. We are customers, we are the reason you are in business and deserve to be treated with respect. STAY AWAY FROM THIS LOCATION. I usually receive great food at this location but today was incredibly disappointing. I purchased a chicken avocado burrito and the chicken inside was very overcooked so much so that every bite tasted like burned meat. The worst part was finding a chicken bone in my burrito. Would not recommend going to this location. Came home container of soup all over my passenger floor mat. Service is slow also, might want to try the location on main. Easy fix maybe double bag the soup or just skip the soup all together. Nacho combo tho, pretty good for the price. Update: nothing about my order was correct. So my family and I had to do some errands, decided to place an order via app. Found this el pollo loco in norco. As we walked inside, we found the place vacant and very clean. As we asked for the food, the staff were finishing it up, cutting it fresh off the grill. Talk about high quality. It was given to us at the designated time they had for us. As we started eating it, we found it to be one of the best meals we had. The chicken was nice and moist, the sauces were great, and the rice itself was on point in texture. A little too much seasoning, but everything else was exactly as it needed to be. My family and I were sad when we finished it all. This el pollo loco definitely set the bar for high quality, customer service, and cleanliness. Definitely planning to order from this location soon. read more

Bryanah asked if we'd like to sub chicken with avocado without us even asking!! Omg!!! Normally we have to ask, and then end up getting charged for it! So, I thought I'd give this location a try since it is right down the street. I placed an online order, my husband left to pick it up and returned 45 minutes later with our meals. When he arrived at the location they told them they didn't have any chicken breasts, could he wait, sure he said. In the meantime they had already put my salad together and it sat there for 45 minutes. Husband gets home with order, no lettuce in my salad, dried up chicken shreds and maybe 1/4 of the size it should be. Gross! The meal that husband ordered had very fresh breasts, nice side salad and one very small broccoli floret as his side! We laughed out loud! After my 3rd time there and the same results I decided to leave a review. I want this place to do well as it's right by the house so I'll call corporate as well. The food never disappoints anymore since they change ownership. They always have fresh juicy chicken whenever I come. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. They know how to upsell their items and gets me with the chips and guacamole every time. Kevin is very welcoming and one of the best front cashiers they have had in a long time.
