I went there today with my mom. I got the bacon tostada (I can't remember the actual name) it was great! My mom got the two piece chicken which looked very good. The best part about the visit was the service. We had a girl come around and offer us napkins, a drink refill, and extra dressing. There dressing for the tostada was amazing, so I did get another side, completely free!! Most places make you pay more for extra dressing. This place asked if we wanted more!!! Then when we got up to leave a man that worked there rushed over to take our trays and empty them for us. I'm so not use to service like that. Especially at a fast food joint. I hope they keep up the good service and excellent food. We will for sure be back soon!! read more

I could not be more disappointed after tonight's visit. I ordered a 4 piece half a chicken meal and I was astounded at how little chicken they gave me. I asked the manager how this was considered half a chicken and even he admitted the pieces were small. Don't expect to get a full belly even with half a chicken. I also got a couple of pastor chicken tacos and they were also tiny. I think they are rip off artists as they give you tiny pieces of chicken and charge a good deal of money. First time we were here (a week after opened) was not a good experience. Wait time for food was astronomical, my son's quesadilla was ice cold. My husband's chicken was very pink in the middle, when I took it back up they acted like I we asking for them to send me to the moon. How dare I bring back I undercooked chicken. I've always heard friends from California claim how awesome this place is. So when the new one just opened up at Jordan landing I thought I would give it a try. Sadly very disappointed! Ordered the chicken bacon avocado tostada . Very little flavor, giant taco shell, chicken and bacon were over coked and even after I added their "hot avocado salsa" and "medium" pick de gallo still not a lot of flavor. I don't understand some of the negative reviews on here. Most of them say the food is good but the service is bad. When I visited the service was great. The person I ordered from was very friendly, and kindly changed my order for me right after I ordered it (I had second thoughts on my side dish!). Also, while I was eating the manager came around and asked if anything more was needed. She got me a water. I had a great eating experience and will return! read more

First time. Menu seemed good and creative not the usual. Fast food fare. Food was pretty good. Put off by dirty tables and dining in by a window all I could see were greasy fingerprints and smudges all over them.A few dirty tables when we arrived and the same ones covered in rice and beans when we left no signs of an employee cleaning or wiping​tables ever. I had a good view of kitchen and could see employee's standing around and eating another big turn off and major health violation. Food was good but you have to get a grip on dining room cleanliness. I'm originally from California and I love El Pollo Loco. I am so glad that they are here in Utah. The chicken is so yummy. Their tortillas flour/corn not so much. This location is very clean and the employees are very friendly. Now all Utah needs is Fat Burger. read more

Best fast food place around. Recommend the chicken avocado burrito. The chicken is fresh and seasoned perfectly. I have never had a problem here with a long wait or anything like other reviews. I have always enjoyed El Pollo Loco. I would always pick this over Taco Bell or Del Taco. This location has disappointed me twice though. Both times my order was wrong and I asked the cashier to fix it and I was sent a second wrong order twice. I was left unresolved both times. That being said I do like their chicken. Came here for lunch, I ordered the double chicken salad it was really good but it only had a few pieces of chicken so was I disappointed and my avocado was black from one side. My son ordered the two piece chicken kids meal, chicken was pretty pink .... Guy at the register was very nice. read more

Unfortunately this place was lacking in customer service and food quality when i visited. The worst part was how embarrassed i felt after hyping this place up to my friends and family before i took them here. I've been to Pollo Loco in California and I was so excited to take people who've only heard of how good their chicken is for their first time. Here's where this Pollo Loco went wrong: Customer Service: The employee's attitude while take our order was pathetic. It seemed to us that he was being forced to work there against his will and had given up on life and happiness. No greeting when we were up to order, he just stood there with a sad facial expression. He took the order wrong twice, this means we corrected him once and when he repeated the order back to us it was completely different to his first order and the correction, se we did it again, twice. When we got our food, the order was still wrong. He never suggested us drinks or choices on sides or tortilla type. He didn't even give us plates or utensils to eat with untill we asked (even though it was a family meal we ordered). Food: The chicken was so thin and dry it would make an apache indian shed a tear :'( . I kept thinking to myself, "Are we we still in a recession? Is this not the USA!? the land of plenty and abundance! Why is this Pollo Loco trying to start my diet for me a week early!?" I ended up swinging by KFC on our way home to buy more chicken after leaving Pollo Loco. We had a better time eating at home then this restaurant. I won't be going back to eat here for a long while and I'll be warning people who ask me about eating there as well. I have no beef with Pollo Loco as a company, just this particular location in West Jordan. Oh and this was not my first time going here to eat and leaving with a bad taste in my mouth. I had forgotten about my last experience and went there again. Just to experienced the same issues as before, only this time with different family members and friends. My coworker was ecstatic about this location opening up so I thought I'd give it a try. The first time I just got a chicken leg and mac and cheese. While the mac and cheese was delicious, the chicken leg was extremely tiny, like a bite worth of meat. That bite was tasty but it was literally just a bite. The second time I didn't get anything but my dad ordered the avacado burrito, only after we started pulling away did I notice a sign saying they were out of avacados. Since they didn't mention this my dad assumed it was an old sign but asked the lady at the window who said they had avacados. Once we got home, guess what? There were no avacados in the avacado burrito. Lol. read more

Growing up in So Cal this is a staple. Great food, healthy options and none of the junk. Real ingredients and real prices, if you want something cheap go to Taco Bell. Ever heard of the saying "you get what you pay for" I'll take quality over inferior quantity anyday. read more

We were so looking forward to eating at El Pollo Loco because we use to eat at the ones in Vegas all the time. We are so disappointed! We ordered the 3 course family meal that includes a salad and took it home. The salad which had no green lettuce in it looked so bad we didn't even open the container to try it. It had two tiny slices of avocado and the iceberg lettuce was brown on the edges... We ordered the dark meat thinking it would not be dry. It was burnt and dry to the point that you couldn't remove the skin. It was fused to the skin. We are so disappointed, we will not go back. Usually new places don't go downhill for sometime after the open. No excuse for starting out this way! read more

when they first opened here in west jordan everyone went there i waited for a few months a few weeks ago i went there and they were just ok by far not the best amerimex i have had but not the worst either but they put clentro in everything except the cream chicken soup if you like alot of clentro in your food then this is the place for you read more

I hardly leave any reviews but I didn't have a good experience at this location today! I ordered drive thru and seemed like the lady understood after repeating myself a few times..I don't eat chicken however I like the shrimp,beans,rice and avocado and salsas from here , I ordered the chicken avocado burrito substitute the chicken for shrimp, how hard is that to understand? It means I want no chicken in the burrito.. she said that it'll be $1 more I said I'm ok with that, well my burrito only had 2 shrimps...the whole big burrito and only 2 shrimps? Not happy about that!! I've been to the West Valley location and they serve it right. Also they forgot to add an additional item to my order and told me to pull forward and wait ...then the lady comes out and I ask her for sauce because they never gave me any and she gives me an attitude saying "more sauce?" I said you never gave me any... I didn't like this location, they have trouble understanding even if I speak to them in Spanish. They need to Pay more attention. read more
