It was dry and crunchy like it had been cooking since sunrise, then someone panicked and dumped cold water on it right before serving. The result? A bizarre mix of campfire ashes and fridge runoff. Honestly, I wasn't sure whether to eat it or just sit with it and reflect on where things went wrong. The service here was incredible! They took my order right away in the drive thru and despite the long line I got my food within minutes. They also made sure everything was in the bag when giving me my items and gave me all the salsas I ask for. Fast food restaurants are usually really nit picky when it comes to salsas so I'm glad Pollo Loc hasn't lost their touch. I love Pollo Loco in general but the quality was amazing at this location. Bought the family 12 piece with Mixed pieces. All of the chicken was very dry. Reminded me of the turkey scene in Christmas Vacation movie. Massive rip off, $50 bucks for dry chicken and 3 sides. We absolutely love this location and have visited many times. Today's stop was just for some churros. Normally in the Bay Area we have a churro guy but since we haven't found one here in The Valley, Pollo Loco to the rescue! There chicken always taste great. You know, I'm giving this place 2 starts for the food. The food is tasty and I always get the tostada bowls and kids love the chicken legs. The service sucks! We have been eating here for years. Nothing is ever right. My husband can't stand pico and somehow it's always still on his food. I have done multiple mobile orders and had to ask for the drinks and the salsas and dressings that should be included more than once. Last month, I pulled up and they gave me half my order and when I said I needed the kids meals, they looked at me crazy and I had to hand them phone to view my order and they still didn't give me the salsas that were on my order. Should that all go on their order screen? I've paid extra for avocado and it wasn't included My husband literally just came back and said the lady handed him one bag and then said here's your second and closed the window and he's sitting there like uh....drinks and she's like oh did you get drinks? Then he said yes, 2 kid's meals and a combo so...and she was like oh what are they? This should be something they have set to go. He had to ask for the salsa and the dressing again, too. When I got home with the meal, I was so d?? mad as to see how the chicken was so overcooked that it was like chewing on the sole of a shoe. I decided this time around to give the chicken avocado stuffed quesadilla a try. This is basically a burrito that's been flattened out, making it awkward to eat. The fajita veggies were a nice addition but pretty much overwhelmed the flat-burrito and made all the possible flavors just jumble together. The free chicken avocado taco for downloading their mobile app was a nice touch, but it was as soggy as the quesadilla and it fell apart fast. My favorite item is the five dollar Pollo bowl. For a little over five dollars you get a bowl drink and a choice of chips corn tortilla or flour tortilla. The bowl comes with cilantro tomato onion chicken rice and beans. You also get a choice of sauce on the side. They usually give three sauce containers. When I first ordered this item I thought that it came with the tortillas and the chips. I went back inside to ask if I was supposed to get chips.
