Burrito
Anthony M.

Stop what you're doing and come get their burritos! That thing is HUGE. It comes packed with your choice of meat (I did Al Pastor, AKA spiced pork), refried beans, rice, lettuce, pico, sour cream, and guacamole!!! The best part?? It only costs $7.69! Insane. Way better than Chipotle or any other place in town, especially since this place offers authentic Mexican styles of cooking which makes this burrito way more delicious than the rest. Plus... Guac at no extra cost? Yes please. With that said, this place gets a solid 5/5 in my book! They get the job done. No funny stuff. Check them out!! If you dine-in, don't have high expectations regarding the interior as it looks like a "hole in the wall".

If your looking for homemade Mexican style cooking, this would be your go to every time. It's very convenient, and very tasty! I go here whenever I'm unsure on what to eat. It's by far the best fast food Mexican spot out in Texas, and should extend their business everywhere else in this world. You can tell they use real products, no processed food really what so ever. I'm saying fast food, because the wait times is very short, some of their restaurants have drive thru's. So please do not compare this to Taco Bell, taco cabana, or el pollo loco!!!!! This spot also have that horchata you're looking for as well lol. Chefs kiss

Some of the best roasted chicken in town. A whole chicken is affordable and can easily feed 2-3 people.

You can't go wrong with the Half Chicken Meal Combo. The green sauce is like crack! But be careful...

There's a lot of food trucks in Austin. There are a few that I consider above the rest and Spicy…read moreBoys is one of those joints. Spicy Boys has four locations in the Austin area, with probably their most popular at Zilker Brewing. They are a spicy chicken establishment and their spicy chicken comes in different shapes and sizes from bone-in fried chicken, chicken sandwiches, and nuggets. I have only ever ordered their fried chicken sandwich and every time, I have been a fan. I always get their middle option in heat, the Hot Gai, which is sandwiched between the OG and the Tingly Gai. It hits every time. The mayonnaise, the pickles, the perfectly crisp chicken: you can't miss it. As a side, I ALWAYS without fail get their Tater Tots. They are consistently crispy while remaining soft on the inside. Sometimes I will get it seasoned with their Tingly Sichuan, but the heat is sometimes too much. I cannot recommend the tots enough. Spicy Boys is one of those places that is always there for you. They are consistently open and the people making the orders are putting a ton of dedication into making them smack every time. The sandwich alone comes at $9.50 with the tots at $3.50, which seems on par or slightly lower than a typical food truck if my memory serves me right. I recommend giving them a shot whether you are at Spokesman in Pflugerville, St. Elmo Brewing, or Zilker off 6th Street. It's in the upper echelon of food trucks. RIYL: peak chicken sammys

No big deal. But then I had been drinking Zilker Brewery's own beer. Out of self protection - my body may have turned off its sense of taste To protect me from the worse than mediocre Zilker beer. If the price of protection from Zilker beer was not being able to taste a chicken sandwich, I was definitely ahead of the game.

The sound and TVs were all pretty great for watching the game, and they had a ton of space. It was nice having the fake grass and picnic tables in the outdoor areas because it really added to the vibe while still being well shaded throughout. The food was good. During the game we shared the Fried Pickles, which were crispy and well breaded with good pickle chips, as well as their Green Chili Queso, which was also excellent. The chips had good seasoning and the queso was thick. For a main entrée, I ordered the patty melt. It was melty with good flavor, but I would have preferred chopped onions over sliced onions. The Sriracha mayo was great and added a kick I was not expecting. The drinks were decently priced for East 6th all things considered. I was not drinking that night and ordered a mocktail variation of their Lavender Haze using zero proof Empress gin instead of the regular Empress gin. They still charged the same price, which felt a little unfair, but it is what it is. Overall, it was a great experience and a solid bar for games. I could see myself coming back for another event since they handled a large crowd well. Aesthetically, the spot is really nice too, which adds to the positives. Not bad for a last minute decision. RIYL: Little Woodrow's without the lames.

You order at the bar and pay and the server brings the food. I ordered the wings and waffles which came with a 5 piece and one large waffle ($16). This combo comes with fresh bacon bits on top and chives. We also ordered a mimosa carafe (with pineapple juice) which was only $12! Such a great deal! My meal was great and the servers were such nice gentlemen! There's outdoor seating and TVs inside if you enjoy watching football. This is a very casual place so you don't need to dress up. You can usually find paid parking in this area too!

Fabulous! My friend…read moreTiffany told me about Anthem on Rainy Street. Neither of us had been, and also it's been years since we've been on Rainy Street. So we thought we would make a whole night of it. Tiffany did make reservations for us for 7pm and even though this is a bar hopping neighborhood, even at 7pm it was pretty busy. Streets were full of people. Anthem had a vibe. I felt the energy as soon as I waked in. The cozy booths with the U shaped seating with plush green velvet fabric. Wait staff wore Hawaiian shirts. Sitting up behind me on a ledge was the Easter Island statue. Insert (Night At The Museum) here, dumb dumb give me gum gum. Anthem was our first stop tonight. Just drinks and a dinner. I ordered the Peach Fuzzy drink. Not too sweet, refreshing, peachy, and beautiful garnish of a flower. I ordered the Yummy Fries which looked like a salad. Gorgeous presentation. Fries were actually waffle sweet potatoes. Pickled ginger, sesame seeds, furikake, aïoli and a few other wonderful ingredients. Could not get over how beautiful everything looked. Presentation outstanding. Service delightful. Had a wonderful time at Anthem. We both did use the ladies rooms before leaving. Inside the bathroom there is a sign about safety and if you need assistants. I did take a picture of it. On our way out, Brian the manager, said good night to us and waved. We later saw Brian at another place. And I'll write about that in my review for that place as well. Brian, you're Doll, thank you for your hospitality.

First time trying Donkey MO's and I was so surprised how good it was... even for take out delivery! I ordered the 10 Wings combo with French fries . The wings was super crispy and still hot! The plain French fries was good but nothing special. It paired well with the wings and to dip it in the wing sauces. Flavors Soy Garlic: super delicious! Highly recommend! and holy donkey : my gawdddddd I died eating this! It was so freaking spicy I couldn't feel my mouth, started sweating immediately, and my stomach was turning. Somehow it was addictive and I was able to eat 2 before surrendering. This wing sauce is definitely for those who love spicy. it's hot! And that is coming from a person that can eat somewhat medium spicy. Do I recommend this place? I definitely want to try this place in person instead of take out. It was really good and I feel the wings were good size and the perfect amount of crispy even being coated with sauce. It's good! I definitely recommend this place ! If take out was great .. The skin was incredibly crispy (just how I like it!) and the soy garlic sauce had a great balance of sweet and savory flavor without being overpowering. They definitely didn't skimp on the size either--5 wings was more than enough! I skipped the sides this time because I wanted to focus on the wings, but their onion rings caught my eye, so I'll definitely be back to give those a try. Now...the only downside was the parking. It looked like the front parking lot had been freshly painted because every parking space was blocked off with cones. Everything appeared dry, so I wasn't sure why the cones were still there. That forced everyone to park in the back, which was already super congested. I mentioned it to the staff, but they didn't seem too concerned. Honestly, if I hadn't been determined to try this place--or if it had been any hotter outside or I hadn't gotten lucky finding a parking spot--I probably would've left. Thankfully, the wings made up for the inconvenience! If they can get the parking situation figured out, this spot will be an even better experience. I'll definitely be back...and next time, those onion rings are coming home with me!
