Ordered a vegan burrito, got a cheese quesadilla.
    Larry T.

Ordered a vegan burrito via doordash, wrote in the notes "Vegan". What I got was a cheese quesadilla. Do you even read bro?? Furthermore, most of the desserts in our office order did not show up.

Excellent food and excellent service! Very fast food delivery to our tables! Very clean with a great menu and variety of Mexican foods. Inside and outside seating with large screen TVs. We had enchilada plate and shrimp fajitas. We couldn't finish the plates, there was so much great tasting food on our plates! It's a bit far from where we live but we will definitely be coming back again!

This location is listed on Uber Eats as Breakfast Beauties, but the food I received was anything but a beauty. I ordered a house sandwich (described on Uber eats as having "eggs with crispy bacon, hash brown, melted cheese, and house sauce") with an add on of avocado, sausage egg sandwich, a side of hash browns, and a side of breakfast potatoes. The house sandwich did not have any bacon in it and the eggs were so fried that parts had turned black (I had asked for scrambled eggs). The sausage sandwich had two measly sausage links that had been cut in half. Instead of the breakfast potatoes, I received a cheesy egg and potato burrito, which was just as unappealing as the sandwiches. I understand that El Primo might be the ghost kitchen for Breakfast Beauties, but some care to the food prep and presentation would go a long way. If the breakfast was good, I would have considered eating at El Primo, but now I would never consider eating there if this is the standard that they seem to have, or at least be associated with.

Food was delicious, made to order, hot, fresh, fast and accurate. Service was amazing. Friendly, and excellent customer service. The atmosphere was calm and kitchen looked so busy. I saw the orders coming it. I will be coming back. Thank you.

1 Fish taco and 1 Mushroom taco. Delish!

Yum! I needed a quick bite on my way to visit a friend in Lynwood. I stopped here due to good Yelp reviews. I got the fish taco and the mushroom taco thinking 'they will probably be so-so". I was wrong - they were delicious and the tortillas were super fresh. If I'm in the neighborhood again I will definitely go back to this place. Also clean inside and the girl at the cashier was very sweet. I also love that it was served on a real plate - not styrofoam. So much better for the environment.

I'd call this place a hidden gem, it's on Soto across from Farmer John, but the back of this building faces the street so you can easily drive by without noticing. El Primo Mexican Food is a small restaurant with a few indoor and outdoor tables https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/el-primo-mexican-food-vernon?start=30 but they do have a large menu https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/el-primo-mexican-food-vernon?select=brIwQPSVZVFBBWVUA1-tyw first time here I'm going for some tacos! Wet green and red California burrito. 5/5
    Gary K.

Wow was honestly impressed as El Primo is truly le prime. Had ordered the California burrito wet with both red and green. You know what they say, you eat with your eyes and props to the chefs for making not only a beautiful looking wet burrito but also making it denk. The Cali burrito waa pretty good as i always love fries in my burrito. Obviously not fresh made fries bc you know we are in Vernon and people probably won't care if they are frozen or fresh. Also very happy with the salsas they have as they had a very nice habanero salsa with a decent kick. Also really liked that they give you chips on the side as well too. Friendly staff and amazing staff like Jenny really enhances the overall mood of the restaurant and only makes you wanna come back. Overall pretty good and I am def coming back. Tl;dr, spicy salsa, great service, great food, why are you waiting hurry and place your order!

If you're in the area I highly recommend this place! Everything has great flavor & the chefs are quick! They even have vegan options if you're not able to eat meat

I heard about this place from some of my fellow staff members, so I gave it a try and was not disappointed! The food was fresh and tasted excellently delicious. I ordered a second time and successfully got some pics before digging into my shrimp quesadilla and ceviche dishes. Make sure you get an agua Fresca...my fave is the lemonade with chia seeds! The service is also excellent!

For us, that's El Ranchito in Huntington Park. It's a family-owned, authentic Mexican restaurant that has had the community on its back for the last 6 decades. They hand-make the tortillas right in front of you, serve up fresh chunky guac, and make their iconic Mama Avila's soup fresh daily. It's rare that a soup has me hitting a stank face, but here we are. The Camarones al mojo de ajo is a can't miss appetizer. It's succulent shrimp sauteed in butter and fresh garlic, made to be eaten with the piping hot homemade tortillas. They have all the traditional Mexican dishes, my brothers go to is the chile relleno, but I always just run the fajitas. I'm sure I'll get clowned for this, but nothing heals my trauma and existential dread like a plate of sizzling fajitas. My pops has worked in the area for longer than I've been alive, so El Ranchito has seen every iteration of me, and of my family. For that, I am grateful. I'll be coming here until the wheels fall off. EL RANCHITO ALL STARS!!! IG @johnny.novo Tiktok @jnov__ Substack @johnnynovo

We walked in and it was a few minutes to get recognized by the hostess. Not a big deal but that bled over into the waitstaff. We were sat and ignored for quite a bit. We waited and we got chips and salsa and someone came for drink orders. The salsa was some of the best I've had. Drinks came back pretty fast but they were average. Something was off about them. We ordered the food and we got it fast! I was surprised how quick it came! It was good Mexican food. Not great but good. All in all, it was a good place for a sit down dinner with drinks.

I first visited while I was in the area with my best friend, who is also half Argentinian like me and does modeling as a hobby. She had just finished another successful photoshoot on the Eastside of Los Angeles, made great connections, and got some amazing content. It was getting late, and we wanted to start heading back home toward the freeway, but we were starving. We both love food and get the munchies now and then, but we also wanted to celebrate her latest milestone, so I suggested La Casita Mexicana. The ambiance was like stepping into a little casita in Mexico -- bright, colorful, vibrant, and welcoming. The staff were friendly, too. We tried an appetizer and shared the Enchiladas Tres Moles. Granted, I've never had truly authentic mole, but I've had versions of mole that were not good. The mole here, however, was out of this world delicious. Even the mole that came with the dinner chips as their "salsa mole" was fantastic. I remember thinking, I feel like I'm experiencing Michelin-star-level food in the middle of the LA barrio. And honestly, that's the beauty of the barrio. There are culinary diamonds all over Los Angeles -- you just have to give them a chance and be willing to try somewhere new. I've since returned with my boyfriend, and the food has never disappointed. For a little personal context, I'm half Argentinian and half Mexican. Although the Mexican side of my family is from Guadalajara and Sonora, I didn't grow up eating Jalisco-style cuisine, so exploring different regional Mexican cooking has been especially fun for me. It's always interesting discovering flavors and traditions that are part of my own heritage but weren't necessarily part of my upbringing. La Casita Mexicana is definitely one of those places I'm glad I ventured out for -- and another successful Eat the World LA discovery.

The chorizo was a bit too salty for my taste, but the cecina more than made up for it and honestly was my favorite of the three. The carne asada was solid too, cooked just right and full of flavor. Before the food even came out, they brought us chips with mole, and those were perfect on their own, a worthy palette opener while we waited! Service was great the entire meal, our server checked in often without hovering and made the whole experience feel special. For a birthday dinner with the family, it was just right.

I was working in South Gate a few years ago and discovered this location in Huntington Park. I started going there for their most delicious sopes, tacos and burritos. The meat they serve is pork and they grill it over lump coal so the edges are crispy but the meat itself is juicy and porky. The beans are fried up perfectly, just like homemade. The salsa is simple but very tasty. Today's was fire and addictive. I had a taco de chorizo ... yum. I also got a jamaica to help cool things down. I got a couple of burritos to go. I'm really looking forward to chowing down on those later. I know they'll be delicious as always. The sope shells are handmade and fried up fresh to order.
