[[HIGHLIGHT]]Clean place, good hot sauce, tortillas and ingredients[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]], but I've lived in San Diego my entire life eating Mexican food- And this is the most anorexic burrito I've ever had in my life. $13 for egg potato and cheese breakfast burrito

Weekend brunch mission: nachos for the table. Expectations were high... maybe too high. This El Ranchito didn't bring the same glow-up energy as its sibling locations... the nachos showed up underdressed and a little confused, like they missed the toppings meeting. Flavor-wise, it just didn't slap the way the other locations do. That said, the horchata remains undefeated. Cold, creamy, dependable, the one friend who always shows up on time and does exactly what you need.

I always feel like a good menudo soup but some taco shops don't make them or only make them on Sundays. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This place is quite small but they are fast. Its easy and just in and out![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I just like convenience and the food isn't too bad. I loved their menudo bc they didn't put any hominy. That's just too much carbs. I paid an extra 2.50 for more tripe, but worth it for me. They could use a little more flavor but its pretty decent still.

Came by on Tuesday evening, second time trying this place and it's disgusting gave them chance after chance but the food is just not good. AVOID AT ALL COST Customer service is also terrible.

California burrito

This burrito is a California burrito it has carne asada as the protein for 17.00 this was very disappointing, there was hardly any meat in the burrito.

Never had a bad experience here. Great food and great service! Good place to go after church g for lunch or before work for a nice breakfast burrito.

Shrimp Taco Special

Friendly service. The shrimp taco plate was delicious! The sauce elevated the taco. The rice and beans were good too. My husband loved the CA burrito. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant was pretty decent, clean, places to sit, it gets busy during lunch.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I would definitely come back.

Good food and service is good. The California and carne asada are goood. They have good seasoning. This is breakfast burrito.

5 rolled taquitos

I love this place, it's the one restaurant i have to come back to when i come into town. It's the same one that's been there forever where i used to ride my bike as a kid. Their rolled tacos are simply delicious and i love the Guac that they put on it as well.

The machaca breakfast burrito was fantastic the flavor was amazing I added browns and it was perfect. Only giving 4 stars because it was tiny cost $15 with tip I wasn't expecting it to be such a small serving. Most places have huge burritos but they aren't always tasty these were small but each bite was so good. The beef has a good flavor to it and the tortilla was cooked perfect. The service was good as well and seems to be a happening spot for the locals.

The food was beyond great. Even the salsa was amazing; seriously, it was the first time I've had salsa this delicious. Every dish we tried was full of flavor and exceeded our expectations. We sat outside, and although it was a bit windy that day, the overall ambiance was wonderful. We had a great experience and would definitely come back.

Located in the front/beginning of Old Town so you will have to find street parking. We went on a Friday morning around 11am so parking wasn't an issue. We opted to sit outside their raised patio and it was nice out. They weren't too busy, maybe a couple tables inside with guests. After we came, people started trickling in as well and sat outside. We were seated right away and needed a couple more minutes to look over the menu. After that, it took the young waiter awhile to get back to us and I went to the bathroom I saw him standing and just conversing with another coworker. No problem because another worker named Juan ended up coming to the rescue and was our waiter the whole time from start to finish. He was very attentive and checked up on his often so he was super friendly. Thank you, Juan! We ordered some cocktails (hibiscus margarita and Mexican mule) but they were more so just sweet and I honestly didn't taste any alcohol. They offer complimentary chips and salsa which is nice and Juan even refilled that for us. We ordered carne asada loaded fries, fiesta platter with all beef, and quesabirria tacos. Not going to lie they are on the pricier side but given the location of tourists it is understandable. But the good thing is it tastes just like local Mexican drive thrus like back in SD. They brought out extra hot sauce that I requested. They mentioned 1 was mild and the other was spicy. There was a nice kick and both were well flavored and not just watery and tasteless. We really enjoyed all the food items we got. We would definitely be back!

The server was able to inform us that their beans are vegan, but the rice is made with chicken bouillon - so helpful, and we appreciated a server who could explain whether animal products were in the food. The tortillas were warm and ever so slightly crispy, the flavor was phenomenal, and the burrito was so filling that I only ate half (can't wait to eat the leftovers!). My family ordered enchiladas, chille relleno, birria plate and the vegetable burrito with fries instead of potatoes. YUMMM! Every l dish was a knock out -- super delicious. There are no single menu items like you can't order just one taco or one tamale by itself without getting a whole platter of other things. The server was friendly and didn't rush us even past 10pm.

With that being said, parking can be difficult because Old Town tends to get very busy on a Saturday. We walked in and it was not busy. The host/server told us to pick any table we would like. We chose outside, but they had just cleaned up the area, so our chairs were stacked. The host/server quickly helped us get the chairs down and place them at our table. The server was attentive and kept checking in on us. Now the food. When we were sat down, we were given complimentary chips and salsa. The chips were perfect and not overly salty or greasy. The salsa was very mild and had a great flavor. I ordered a 2 taco combo plate ($14.95) with carne asada and carnitas. The carne asada was just okay, it was cut into thicker piece, which is not my preference. It was also topped with guacamole, which was not the best I've had. The carnitas however were magnificent topped with pickled onions, cilantro, and salsa. The rice was not traditional Mexican rice and did have a bit of a crunch to it rather than a toast before cooking. The beans were just plain pinto beans, not refried beans, but they were good. While this place, is not extremely traditional, it is a great spot in Old Town Temecula with fairly good food. I'm looking forward to coming back again.

I really enjoyed the festive, patriotic decor and all the lights, albeit the mannequins were a little creepy. We got in early and beat the crowd, luckily for us as it seemed there was only one server covering all the tables in the dining room. The bus boy had a really bad attitude, not friendly or welcoming at all which was a turn off. Kind of just slamming stuff around and wouldn't even respond when we told him thank you each time he stopped by to pick something up off our table. The margarita flight was just ok, we only really enjoyed 2 out of 4, the carnitas was very dry, as was the carne asada. My husband's burrito was 75% refried beans, the rice tasted funky, my albondigas was 90% celery but still had a good flavor. The highlight of the meal was actually the homemade corn tortillas, sadly. Not a great first experience even though we were in before it got busy. Our service was decent, he only became really friendly after I left a big tip which I found a little insulting. All in all, a very average and underwhelming experience, probably wouldn't be back, nothing made it stand out or special for us and it was our 20 year anniversary.
