It was actually about 2 or 3 months ago when my wife & I decided to try this place for dinner. We pass it pretty regularly and have seen the lot fairly busy during the lunch hours, so we decided to give it a try. We were actually there between the lunch & dinner push, so we were seated pretty quickly. We ended up having to wait almost 20 min. to order our drinks, we figured they were regrouping after lunch, so we gave them some leeway on the wait. We ordered 2 of there top of the line margaritas which took about 15-20 min to make it to the table, at first taste, we knew immediately the drink was not what we ordered. It was made with the rack tequila and cheap mixers... so we sent them back for a remake and ordered our dinners. Well, the dinners came out before the drinks, unfortunately, the dinners were both cold (of course they were supposed to be hot) and tasted like it was leftovers from the lunch line. We expected to see someone with our drink replacements any min... almost 10 min later, we flagged someone down about the poor quality of the meal which we both felt was completely inedible, while the waitress was listening to us about our food, the drinks arrived... we both took a sip and it was the same poor, weak mix. We had had enough, almost an hour into the deal, we told them they can keep the drinks and whatever that was they called food, we were done. I put a few dollars down for the waitress since I know the food & drink are outside of her control, and gave her the benefit of the doubt on the poor service, and we got up and left. I have a problem with any restaurant that does not keep the food at the correct temperatures, both holding & serving temps. While I know restaurants can have an "off" day due to staffing issue, this place failed on all counts, service, food quality & taste and the bar. In our opinion, there was no redeeming qualities here. There is definitely no shortage of Mexican restaurants in Clarksville, in fact there are far too many, mostly poor attempts at something resembling Mexican food to give a second shot. Good luck if you choose to try them, but we will not be back. read more

My wife and I ate here a couple hours before close and the place was half empty. We were seated and ordered chicken, cheese and rice and a small bowl of queso. Well, it came out quickly, but when my wife asked for some tortillas, instead of getting them, the server said, "They don't come with that". Excuse me? In the 6 years my wife and I have been together, we have eaten at around 45-50 different Mexican restaurants. NEVER has a restaurant refused to bring tortillas. Never. The food itself was mediocre at best, but the restaurant must be losing money and in dire straits if 3 tortillas in foil will break them. They should be AUTOMATICALLY available. If someone asks for them, BRING THEM AND MOVE ON. They are TORTILLAS, NOT A 5th OF CABO WABO TEQUILA. We won't be back. The complimentary salsa had very little flavor or spice so I asked my waitress if there was something I could ADD to it so I could get some heat. She said they have bottled sauce or House sauce. So I said house sauce- had no idea she would up charge me and bring me an entire bowl of tomatillo salsa that all I used of it was maybe a 1/4 tsp to mix into the salsa I was eating. On the menu it states that extra cheese sauce for the chuy is an extra charge of $1.75. Fine. However I didn't expect my extra purchase would be a tiny 2ounce cup I sort of like expected the small bowl like the salsa was served in. The most amazing place for food and drinks! My husband and I have been going here almost weekly. We have tried their tacos, margs, molcajete, and most of their appetizers. The service is always prompt and nice. If you ever like to branch out you can also ask the staff for recommendations. While visiting my daughter in Clarksville we decided to try take out from El Rancho Grande. The food was ready by the time we arrived and was very good. I had the California burrito with steak and it was one of the best I've had. The steak was cooked well and the cheese sauce over the burrito added just the right finishing touch. My wife had one of the taco dinners with grilled chicken and steak tacos. She enjoyed her enough that I did not get a bite. While we did not eat in the restaurant, I enjoyed the decor and the entire vibe of the restaurant while we were waiting. I should mention that when I ordered, I got my wife's were wrong. The staff was very nice and fixed my mistake with no complaints. Great customer service. The only disappointment was the salsa. It was sweet and not spicy at all. The food was a very good average and it came really fast after we ordered our fajitas. You can get corn tortillas but didn't see it on the menu. The pineapple margarita on the rocks was not very good. Some hot sauce may have made things better for me but our waiter never returned until we were over 2/3 finished. I'm giving two stars because my husband thought his fajitas were okay. But, my pick three create combo was terrible!! They broke the crispy taco, but instead of remaking it they just shoved the broken one inside a second shell. Which was just too much shell and so lazy. I just ended up taking the broken one out and gently eating it. But, how lazy that you can't remake a single hard shell taco?!? The "authentic tamale" was perhaps the worst tamale I've ever eaten! It tasted old and had been obviously microwaved from frozen as it was so oily and the ends were over cooked. The most disappointing was the chalupa! Which came on flat bread like pita flatbread and is not in anyway representative of a Chalupa, it was gargantuan. It took up the entire small plate because it is the standard uniform pita bread size and disgusting. It was a pita bread taco is what they brought me, a thick, pita bread taco. Service was adequate but not friendly or personable in the least. When I asked for another drink, the server acted almost irritated. My wife accidentally left her ring on the bathroom counter while washing her hands. When she realized it, the "cleaners" took the ring. When confronted they said they didn't speak English. This is my usual go to spot for enchiladas or burritos. One of the few spots around Clarksville where not all of the burritos on their menu come drenched in cheese sauce! Enchiladas Poblanas as well as their cocktail de camarón are on point. Expect the place to be packed on the weekends and wait at least 10-15min for a table. Inside will be loud and packed when busy. Another Mexican restaurant to add to the growing number of Mexican restaurants in Clarksville. This restaurant just recently opened up and nothing in the menu or the food makes it stand out. I wouldn't be surprised if the owners own another Mexican restaurant in town - cause this food taste similar to a few down the street. Unfortunately, they have no drink specials or 'specialty' food items. So if you're looking for that $2.00 margarita, you won't find it here. The only thing that was memorable was actually our waiter Valentin. His service as well as his communications skills was on point. I would notice that he would sit and roll silverware, yet he would constantly peek back at the kitchen to make sure he grabbed our food as soon as it was up. I think the best thing they have going for them right now, is that there are no restaurants on that side of town. Overall - the place is new - I'd probably give them a few months to work out a few things to make them stand out. But, until they do, they are just another Mexican restaurant. read more

The menu on their website is accurate to date, prices have changed a bit. I have attached pictures of their drink menu since it is not posted on their site. They have happy hour from 4-7pm with $2 off the house margarita, and a drink special of the day. They offer to-go margaritas with a to-go order, one per order. Being it our first visit to this restaurant, our waiter, Gabriel, gave great suggestions. My Husband ordered the Chimichanga and I ordered the Fajitas Jalisco. We were blown away by both orders. Each dish came with rice, beans, sour cream, guacamole, pico de gallo, and lettuce. Of course, chips and salsa were complimentary. The chips were fresh to order and warm. The salsa was a perfect blend of tomatoes, onions, jalapeño, and cilantro. My husband upgraded and got a steak chimichanga which was served to perfection. He literally ate his entire meal and is now suffering from "full belly syndrome". I ordered the Fajitas Jalisco, which comes with grilled chicken, steak, shrimp, onion, and red and green bell peppers. This dish came with 3 flour tortillas, which I kicked myself for not making sure it was corn tortillas, but not a major loss. The flavors of the seasoned meat and veggies sizzling on the pan were amazing! The ambiance of the restaurant was amazing. They have ample seating but it doesn't make you feel like you are on display. I felt very private and secluded in our booth, there are walls set up to make areas less invasive. The decor was authentic and inviting. They even have a bar with seating for those who prefer. The entire establishment was extremely clean, including the restrooms. Our waiter, Gabriel, was extremely attentive. Repeatedly checking on us, but not over stepping his duties. The food and drinks came in a timely manner, there was not much wait time. We were staying at the Baymont By Windham Hotel next door and we were able to walk to the restaurant. Our travel home to Chicago, Illinois from Okaloosa Island, Florida was topped off by this amazing restaurant. We both agreed, this will be our go to spot every year on the way home! The prices were amazing! 12 oz House Margarita was $3.99 during Happy Hour. Chimichanga was $11.49 and the Fajitas Jalisco was 16.99. Total bill for the two dinners and 6 drinks, plus taxes, was $58.49! Highly recommend, we are making this a must on our yearly travels! read more

The bar is cool. The owners* managers and servers are really nice with great customer service. The food comes out quick and it's amazing ! The best thing on the menu for me is the stuffed jalapeños wrapped in bacon and stuffed with cheese and a chipotle ranch dipping sauce ! Holy mother of pearl they are good!
