3.5 Stars overall. The taste quality was so so to good. The quantity was large. The shrimp, rice, guacamole, and salsa were good. Service was fair to good. One of the servers was helpful but I didn't like her recommendation of Fajitas Chivas. Fajitas are said to be liked and ordered a lot here. From what I ordered, I didn't care for most of the meat ingredients in my fajitas. Food was 2 to 4 stars. Not good to good. I was recommended the fajitas chivas with chicken, shrimp, vegetables, steak, beans, & rice. I paid extra for guacamole. It was served with some lettuce and cilantro. They gave me some complimentary chips & salsa. It cost me about $16. If the food was excellent overall, it would be worth $16. The chicken and steak tasted boring and was semi chewy & semi dry. It makes me wary of ordering steak and chicken at Guacamole's again. The chips were stale. The shrimp & rice were the stars. I was very satisfied with the shrimp and the airy & simple Mexican rice. I wish I had more rice. It tasted better than the steak & chicken. The refried beans and vegetables were ok. Nothing spectacular and easily forgettable. I would order again here but I would just stick with lunch specials, the guacamole, the salsa, and rice. I wouldn't order anything more than $10 again. read more

We stopped in for a late Wednesday night dinner. Immediately when we walked in we were seated and served. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The food was fresh and seasoned well. We decided to try a different dish on the menu. I tried cactus for the first time. It's an acquire taste reminds be of zucchini. Also try one of their fresh pressed fruit juices, all natural sugars from the fruit. The only recommendation to the owner is either reupholster the booth chairs, as soon as you sit down you sink in. Food was really good. Guacamole is the best I've ever eaten. They delivered here for a very small fee. We had to hurry and leave the restaurant one evening when they had live music. It was just way too loud and we were trying to watch a football game on their tv. No such luck. Food was ok for the price but it's kinda hard to mess up Mexican food. read more

The service is average. Food portions are huge however the food has no flavor. I had a beef wet burrito and I was better off buying the frozen burritos at Walmart. The meat was really mid and wet. I found several different menus online for this place, I wanted to call in a pickup order. The two menus I saw had different prices for the lunch menu (first said $7.50 for my item, second said $8). I called in my order. When I picked up, total was way higher than expected. I was not given an itemized receipt so I grabbed a to-go menu. The actual price is $9.95 plus they charge you a 5% fee to simply walk in and take your order home. Wow. Why are their prices increasing so rapidly that they can't even fix the online menus? The menu in store is also completely different from the online menus. They really need to update their web presence. I got the chicken flautas. The chicken was good quality but overall the food lacked flavor. Thankfully I have a wide array of pepper sauces at home, I made it taste better. The rice was really good, which is a huge plus. But for $10 the lunch item didn't even come with beans, just rice. Ordered the cheese dip on the side and it was also very bland. No spice. Little flavor. I ate it, but it wasn't anything to get excited about. For the price I will not return here. Yet another over priced Mexican place. Maybe this is on par for Clarksville but I would recommend you drive the little distance further to Guthrie and go to theirs. Ordered two chicken chimichangas and had them delivered to the house. Pretty good considering it was delivery. I'm sure they would be excellent in person. It was good enough, that I'll go to the actual restaurant in the near future to check out the rest of the menu! I would recommend. read more

While I may go back, there were some issues with the food. 1. Salsa had a nice bite to it was just tomato sauce. Nothing else inside. 2. Guacamole Ranchero on the Appetizer menu was very good. 3. Green stuff that comes with food is terrible. Green mayonnaise. 4. Chile Relleno was the size of a baby's hand. Virtually no egg dredge and no cheese inside. Extremely touch skin on the pepper. 5. Chalupa IS NOT a Chalupa. It is a Tostada shell with refried bean paste. Shell was too tough to cut. Google CHALUPA PLEASE! 6. Tamal was tasty but had very little meat inside. Tons of Masa. 7. Refried beans could have been sucked thru a straw. No flavor and tasted nasty. 8. Chips served hot and fresh. People were nice so 2 stars however this is just another Tennessee/ Kentucky style cheese whiz Mexican joint. read more

My rating is based strictly on the guacamole. Very delicious, made to order. My wife ordered without cilantro which came out wonderfully made. The texture is more chunkier than most guacamole but makes no difference cause the taste is great. Has bitesize portions of tomatoes also within the ingredients. Beware that when you call in an order it will cost you more. The menu price is different plus a 5% on top of the bill for take out orders. I ask why it was so high and that was her reply. My order Nacho Supremo Burrito Verde Guacamole Al gusto And a large drink came to $43.34 As you can see on the receipt that the prices are different the what's on their menu ( I checked one again) Don't like being charge more because I'm not dining in. This is a pretty good place! I'm very picky with mexican food because usually one thing could be better. In this case, it's the rice and beans. I'm used to authentic beans but these were just ok. However the food itself was great and the salsa was tasty! Large portions for a good price. The queso was nice and cheesy. The quesadilla was stuffed full of veggies. I am usually a wine drinker, but 2 months of social distancing had me sick to death of my own company and craving something with a little more punch; The local neighborhood FB group I'm in had been talking about the margaritas from here for awhile now, so last Friday we called in an order. Now, to get the drinks delivered to our home we needed to order at least 20 dollars in food items (these folks are geniuses for that, I swear). I'd eaten here only once a couple years ago and i was not impressed with the meals then so we settled for appetizers; Guacamole Al Gusto, Cheese dip and hubby ordered Carne Asado Fries. Delivery is FAST. Like "JimmyJohns commercial" fast. Everyone really enjoyed the big chunks of guacamole and the small cheese dip was also a hit. The fries weren't bad either. Definitely a big surprise from the last time we tried them. I also ordered a Watermelon and Lime Margarita. 32 ounces each; about 11 for the Lime and two extra for the flavored. The tequila is the cheap kind but for the price i expected that. Cheap or not, it does the job of getting ya tipsy for sure. I enjoyed the watermelon a lot more than the lime. It wasn't the best margarita I've ever had but It wasn't terrible either. A solid 3. And honestly I only needed one. After a taste, The lime one was wasted. I know my neighbors really love the drinks here and you cannot beat the price. I was actually more pleasantly surprised with the appetizers. Their food has greatly improved. That guacamole was very very good. I look forward to trying more food from them after Covid19 passes. Woof. I'd leave it at that but yelp requires I elaborate. The shredded chicken enchiladas were soooo dry. Hardly any red sauce and the chicken was disgustingly over cooked and dry. We ordered a side of refried Beans because it didn't just come with beans and my god were they salty AF! They gave us one tiny thing of salsa which is fine by me normally I'd be pissed but it wasn't good so it fine they can keep the salsa and the chips were stale as all hell. can't make this shit up y'all. I think this is the best Mexican restaurant around. There margaritas are actually made correctly. The chunky guacamole is absolutely amazing. The street tacos are definitely #1 choice for me. I've been to this place many times. We enjoy the generally quick service and convenient location. Tonight I wanted to give the establishment a one star review, and it had nothing to do with the food or service. Apparently Thursday and Saturday are Karaoke night. The "DJ" was completely unaware of his audience. At around 6:00pm playing songs with the "N" and "F" word while children were in the restaurant. I understand that karaoke/music can contain that stuff and I assumed the risk knowing it was Karaoke night, but it would be a reasonable assumption that that type of music would be played at a later hour or maybe if there weren't many children present. The music was also at an insane level for the space it was in. Ultimately I will go back to the restaurant, just not Thursday or Saturday. read more

This place was decent for food and drinks. The food wasn't bad, but it lacked that extra wow factor. I was not impressed with the guacamole, which is a shame considering that's the name of the place. Prices were decent and there was ample parking. I was not a huge fan of my frozen lime margarita either. All in all, it was an okay experience. Reading all of the negative reviews on this place almost made me go elsewhere. The thing that made us stop was the personal attention being paid to each review I read, by the management. The food is good but far from regional to any one Mexican state but this is Clarksville Tennessee; I don't suppose many would know the difference anyway. The food is fresh and comes quick. The Horchata seems to be homemade and not fountain. Regarding the chimichangas, the taste is great but they came smothered in cheese sauce. A Chimi should have a light, flaky crunch when you cut it or bite into it. There only other issue was that the menus were a bit..."Kinkos".
