Great service to start right off the bat, waiters Itzel came to me right away and started giving me service. Asked Itzel about her favorite chilaquiles plate and she said the red salsa one because it was spicy, which it really wasn't but she brought extra hot sauce to add to it which was great. Got a cafe de olla which is always a plus at a Mexican restaurant, I did come on a Monday morning so I was able to sit right away and ambiance is amazing.

Delicious food with great flavor and generous portions. The prices were fair, the service was friendly, and the atmosphere was welcoming. I'd definitely come back and recommend this place.

This place is about the community. East side San Jose is full of culture. This place allowed people to sell food from their outside cart. It is beautiful to see restaurants not afraid of outside business taking from them. This restaurant was busy when we went. I'm not sure if it's because we went on a Sunday but a lot was going on. You seat yourself and someone will take your order. I got the passion fruit drink which was recommended. It was refreshing. The Mexican coffee was sweet, in my opinion. My husband got the huevos ranchero and he devoured it. I got the enchiladas suiza. It was yummy. I like the green sauce. We shared a quesabirria as well. Everything tasted like my friend's parent's cooking. We plan on coming back.

This place was a recommendation, was in the mood for authentic mexican food. Did not fail, they have a variety of selections. I had a carnitas and barbacoa sores with the works. I recommend you try both salsas, can't go wrong. If you crave some coffee, definitely try their cafe de olla or something refreshing try one of their aguas frescas. Service and ambiance, we felt welcomed.

El Rincon De Rita is a mexican themed restaurant with Jalisco style food serving tacos dorados ahogados that were very good. The salsa they use for the tortas ahogadas and tacos ahogados is on point. Took me back to Guadalajara. The cafe de olla is also perfect. The aguas frescas were big portions and the flavor was also on point. I had a torta ahogada and an order of tacos ahogados. I accompanied my food with a passion fruit agua fresca. I loved the decor and the matching seating and dinner wear. They had live music karaoke style when we visited and the staff were very friendly and attractive. They restaurant is located in a small shopping strip so they dobhave some parking available but it is limited.

I recommend this place 100% it was worth the drive for sure! The food is very fresh and absolutely delicious. The owner was very nice and outgoing! The vibes were immaculate! I will be coming back to try more plates!

It was ok. Had to try after Tik Tok. We had chilaquilles plate and huevos rancheros. Green sauce was decent red sauce spicy. Cafe de la holla was very tasty but the empanadas were disappointing. We couldn't tell which was what flavor they looked the same. Good service nice ambiance.

Pico de gallo, Very bad chicharrón
    Jhon P.

Very bad service, they don't even know what they have on the plates, I ordered a side of pico de gallo, it was just a pile of chopped onions, the meat was of very poor quality, the chicharrón the worst I've ever tried, I don't know if they changed management or what because people recommended it to me, but I really don't recommend it. :(

Food service was exceptional! Very vibrant in colors, great air conditioning for this summer heat. Employees were very kind and generous! THE FOOD WAS GREAT! I recommend -Cafe de olla -Maracuya water. -Enchiladas de pollo or cheese

When I took my first bite, I was transported back to my childhood, sitting at my grandma's kitchen table. The food was nothing short of delicious - every dish tasted like it had been lovingly prepared with time, care, and an old family recipe passed down through generations. The flavors were rich, comforting, and perfectly balanced. The crust had the perfect crisp on the outside while the meat remaining juicy and tender inside. The orchata was soo naturally sweet, I wanted down the mug. The nostalgia had me thinking I was at grandmas table. It was clear that the food wasn't just cooked - it was made with love. If you're looking for a meal that feels like a warm hug from grandma herself, this is it. Simply put, this food tasted like home.

Tacos de canasta frijol y chorizo

Lots of take out orders and dine in orders. I ordered 5 super tacos to share with different meats (pollo, carne asada, al pastor, carnitas and chorizo). The super tacos come with cilantro, onions, avocado, sour cream, cheese and pico de gallo. All the tacos come with homemade corn tortillas - you could tell they were fresh. The tacos are big, not small at all. The carne asada, carnitas and pollo was my favorite. Al pastor was good as well, chorizo was not that flavorful for me. However, they also have 3 types of salsas (green, red and a creamy orange) you can use to help add some more flavor if needed. I plan to come back here to try their burritos and tortas as well next time.

We ordered 2x Carne Asada Taco 7/10 2x Al Pastor 7/10 Asada Burrito Bowl 7/10 Enchiladas with Rojo Sauce 7/10 The burrito bowl was good, but for the price point you may be better off going to Chipotle, I felt that the burrito bowl was a bit soggy. The tacos were good and the tortilla they used was quite thick. The enchiladas had good flavor as well, and I would be interested in trying their enchilada with the verde sauce next time. Their prices have steadily risen over time and they have updated their menu prices as well. One thing that elevated this restaurant to 4 stars is their sauce! The red sauce and green sauce recipe is definitely unique compared to other taquerias. The red sauce bottle helps with the flavor tremendously and without it I would have rated this place lower.

The churros were really good although we wish there was a non filled ones too and to have the optionof if we wanted it dressed up because churros are already super sweet with the cinnamonand sugar dusted but caramel and whip cream was added along with a strawberry filling. We were most excited about dessert and decided to share the churros and Tres leches. This made it so seamless to reserve here. Our group got there at opening and our table was ready and most of the group was already seated when we got there. Drink orders were flowing as the waitress caught up to me and I got a cafe de olla. We browsed the menu and the more I looked the harder it was to pick one thing. I ended up choosing chilaquiles with a bandera sauce and carne asada as the added protein. The rest of the table got all different types of dishes from carne en su jugo to birria to omelettes. While we enjoyed each other's company sipping on our cafecito I enjoyed the ambiance of the space. Nicely decorated for the holidays. Since it was opening time it wasn't as loud as I imagine it can get in there. The sun did shine on the faces of those facing the windows which was not enjoyable for them. There was no way to cover the sun either since it was coming in from the top windows with no shade. My food came out along with the rest of the plates and we went right in to enjoy them. My favorite chilaquiles was covered in the white sauce. The red and green were good but the white sauce was my favorite. The carne was cooked well but I could taste it wasn't marinated or lacked flavor. I didn't get a knife to cut the meat so it was very difficult to enjoy a piece with my chilaquiles. It was hard to cut with a butter knife. I thought it would be a piece of steak but it was a piece of carne asada. Eggs were scrambled and cooked well. The whole plate was filling, had flavor, and was a good portion. The cafe de olla had a good flavor but a tad sweet for my preference. The space in here is a vibe. A fun place to enjoy large gatherings. I came for breakfast but will update when I come back to visit for dinner. Bathrooms are clean. Staff was welcoming and efficient in taking care of our group. Hospitality was a 10/10. Parking in the am was a breeze but at prime time I can see it being a complete nightmare so plan accordingly. I enjoyed my visit and will come back to check out the dinner menu.

Yay for mom and pop eats :) Well, I was introduced to this place by my best friend, but I never carried cash to go, so I never tried it until another friend of mine mentioned the Blossom Hill location and them accepting credit card payment! (Yay, but let's not get carried away). I came on a Tuesday evening with friends and saw the place packed! Thats always a good sign~ We each ordered an individual dish to eat and chat. I was intrigued by the burrito bowl and worried it may be small. Jokes on me, it was way more than enough! Don't let the size of the bowl trick you into thinking it's not enough. The avocado was nice and perfectly ripe, the crema sauce drizzle was not overwhelmingly added onto the ball, and the salsa had a nice acid and tomatoey compliment to the beans, meat, shredded lettuce, rice, and cheese! I think this place is pretty solid for the price point and quality. They also have a free for all sauce bar too which is nice! Everything is so spicy, except for the green salsa lol. Servers seemed okay. They didn't really check on us, but it feels like a service yourself kind of place. You grab your own waters, condiments, and sauce here. If you want their chunky mango salsa, you have to flag a server down! However, 1 star is knocked off for the credit card charge, which I'm not even sure what the percentage is. I didn't see a sign at the register or perhaps I didn't look hard enough. I think this should be mentioned on the door and possibly their menu (if it isn't already). Can someone confirm if the credit card charge is 3%? Even my receipt wasn't clearly mentioning the percentage--just the fact that there's a credit card processing fee.
