    Enchilada suiza

This place is about the community. East side San Jose is full of culture. This place allowed people to sell food from their outside cart. It is beautiful to see restaurants not afraid of outside business taking from them. This restaurant was busy when we went. I'm not sure if it's because we went on a Sunday but a lot was going on. You seat yourself and someone will take your order. I got the passion fruit drink which was recommended. It was refreshing. The Mexican coffee was sweet, in my opinion. My husband got the huevos ranchero and he devoured it. I got the enchiladas suiza. It was yummy. I like the green sauce. We shared a quesabirria as well. Everything tasted like my friend's parent's cooking. We plan on coming back.

Delicious food with great flavor and generous portions. The prices were fair, the service was friendly, and the atmosphere was welcoming. I'd definitely come back and recommend this place.

This place was a recommendation, was in the mood for authentic mexican food. Did not fail, they have a variety of selections. I had a carnitas and barbacoa sores with the works. I recommend you try both salsas, can't go wrong. If you crave some coffee, definitely try their cafe de olla or something refreshing try one of their aguas frescas. Service and ambiance, we felt welcomed.

El Rincon De Rita is a mexican themed restaurant with Jalisco style food serving tacos dorados ahogados that were very good. The salsa they use for the tortas ahogadas and tacos ahogados is on point. Took me back to Guadalajara. The cafe de olla is also perfect. The aguas frescas were big portions and the flavor was also on point. I had a torta ahogada and an order of tacos ahogados. I accompanied my food with a passion fruit agua fresca. I loved the decor and the matching seating and dinner wear. They had live music karaoke style when we visited and the staff were very friendly and attractive. They restaurant is located in a small shopping strip so they dobhave some parking available but it is limited.

First time trying this place and for sure not my last. Thought the wait time was going to be long cause of the amount of people eating but Took less than 3 mins to get seated, fast service , great personal , super clean and yup the Food was delicious. Ordered the torta ahogada, it brought me memories from Guadalajara. Bread's texture was perfect , carnitas were tasty and the Sauce gave it that final kick specially the spicy one.oh don't forget the pickled purple onions. If you go make sure get the cafe de olla. Good place to have some authentic Mexican food. Minimum parking Highly recommended.

Great service to start right off the bat, waiters Itzel came to me right away and started giving me service. Asked Itzel about her favorite chilaquiles plate and she said the red salsa one because it was spicy, which it really wasn't but she brought extra hot sauce to add to it which was great. Got a cafe de olla which is always a plus at a Mexican restaurant, I did come on a Monday morning so I was able to sit right away and ambiance is amazing.

I recommend this place 100% it was worth the drive for sure! The food is very fresh and absolutely delicious. The owner was very nice and outgoing! The vibes were immaculate! I will be coming back to try more plates!

It was ok. Had to try after Tik Tok. We had chilaquilles plate and huevos rancheros. Green sauce was decent red sauce spicy. Cafe de la holla was very tasty but the empanadas were disappointing. We couldn't tell which was what flavor they looked the same. Good service nice ambiance.

Pico de gallo, Very bad chicharrón
    Jhon P.

Very bad service, they don't even know what they have on the plates, I ordered a side of pico de gallo, it was just a pile of chopped onions, the meat was of very poor quality, the chicharrón the worst I've ever tried, I don't know if they changed management or what because people recommended it to me, but I really don't recommend it. :(

When I took my first bite, I was transported back to my childhood, sitting at my grandma's kitchen table. The food was nothing short of delicious - every dish tasted like it had been lovingly prepared with time, care, and an old family recipe passed down through generations. The flavors were rich, comforting, and perfectly balanced. The crust had the perfect crisp on the outside while the meat remaining juicy and tender inside. The orchata was soo naturally sweet, I wanted down the mug. The nostalgia had me thinking I was at grandmas table. It was clear that the food wasn't just cooked - it was made with love. If you're looking for a meal that feels like a warm hug from grandma herself, this is it. Simply put, this food tasted like home.

Plenty of parking available since the restaurant is in a strip mall. It wasn't too busy when we got there, but then it started picking up. There was only one server working and she was really hustling to meet everyone's needs. Plus, she was friendly. I had the carne asada burrito, it was good but nothing over the top that made it stand out. My friend had enchiladas with mole. We were most excited about dessert and decided to share the churros and Tres leches. It was a nice touch that the churros and Tres leches did not come plain, a little pizzazz since they were both served with berries, whipped cream, and a cajeta style sauce. Both of the desserts were so good and a perfect touch of sweetness.

We waited 1.5 hours to be seated while half the restaurant sat empty. After we were seated, it took about 30 minutes for anyone to ask if we wanted drinks, another 30 minutes before our order was taken, and then an hour for the food to arrive. Throughout the wait, several servers were gathered in the corner talking and laughing while tables--including ours--were left unattended. Unfortunately, the food didn't make up for the service. The meat was dry, lacked flavor, and the shrimp was so chewy that I couldn't finish it. It was honestly one of the worst shrimp dishes I've ever been served. I've seen countless influencers giving this place glowing reviews, and after eating here, I simply don't believe them. My experience was the complete opposite. If you appreciate good food and good service, I would strongly recommend spending your money somewhere else.

We started with the Queso Fundido, served on a small hot plate with chilis, garlic, and oil on top. It's basically a block of cheese served with chips. My wife is Latina, so we're pretty familiar with authentic Latin/Mexican flavors, and from the moment we walked in, we were a little unsure of what to expect. We completely understand we're in Willow Glen and that Copita is going for a more upscale take, but for us, authenticity and flavor still have to be at the heart of the experience. Our waitress was very friendly and polite, and this review is absolutely not a reflection of her service. However, when we asked about the style of the food, there seemed to be a little hesitation in explaining it, which made us even more uncertain about what we had gotten ourselves into. I don't like bashing restaurants or their food, so I'll simply say that, unfortunately, the highlight of our meal was the chips and salsa. The cocktails, on the other hand, were good and definitely not shy on the alcohol! Also, don't expect large portions. The restaurant is clearly aiming for a more upscale presentation and experience, so the plates reflect that. Overall, Copita just wasn't for us. This was our first visit and unfortunately will probably be our last. I genuinely wish them success, but I think a few changes, especially when it comes to the flavors and authenticity of the food could make a big difference.
