Stumbled into El Segundo Sol tucked inside the Fashion Show Mall right across from The Wynn, and honestly it was a nice break from the usual Strip chaos. The Tulum-inspired decor hits immediately -- warm earthy tones, hacienda touches, and an overall vibe that somehow feels intimate and unhurried despite being smack in the middle of Las Vegas Boulevard. It's the kind of place where you actually want to linger rather than rush out, which says a lot on the Strip. The food is solid Mexican -- nothing mind-blowing, but reliable and satisfying. They press their tortillas fresh in-house daily, which you can taste, and the taco and fajita options cover enough ground to keep the table happy. The margarita menu is worth exploring too. Pair that with the nighttime Strip views from the mall's terrace-adjacent seating, and the whole experience gets a solid bump up. Service was genuinely attentive -- our server checked in at the right moments without hovering, which is the sweet spot. For a Strip restaurant, that's not always a given. The staff clearly know the menu well and make decent recommendations if you ask. One thing to set expectations on: parking is essentially nonexistent since you're on the Strip. But honestly, walking the boulevard at night isn't the worst thing -- especially when the lights are out and the energy is up. Worth the stroll.

Watermelon Margarita, Blood Orange Martini, fresh made guacamole

This place is amazing! We came in on a Sunday around lunch time and there was no wait. We ordered the watermelon margarita, blood orange martini, fresh made guacamole as the appetizer and split the chicken fajitas. The guacamole was definitely fresh and seasoned well. Same with the salsa. Wish we could have taken more of that to go! Our only complaint was because of the inside/outside open layout seating concept it was pretty hot inside. As it gets hotter this summer they probably should close the windows and doors and/or put air on to keep their guests comfortable. Other than that, everything was great and we'll be back!

Un pedacito de México en las Vegas. La comida de buen sabor. Pero pensaba que habría más variedad por ser mexicano. La comida está bien. El lugar si es muy bonito con una buena atmósfera. Un lugar para regresar una vez más. A little bit of Mexico in Las Vegas. The food tastes good. But I thought there would be more variety for being Mexican. The food is fine. The place is very beautiful with a good atmosphere. A place to return once again.

I only come here for the carne asada and it was sold out. The fajitas are ok. Grilled octopus is good. When getting skirt steak fajitas, definitely ask to add chicken for $9. It's a good sized portion that makes this fajitas sizeable for two. Service is not that great as I was largely unattended the entire visit. Ambience is casual. Reasonable price for Vegas Strip. I only come here for my texmex fix.

INTRO: Stopped into El Segundo Sol for lunch and ended up having one of those experiences where the food, drinks, and hospitality all came together perfectly. SERVICE: I was served by Maya, and she was an absolute sweetheart. Friendly, welcoming, and genuinely attentive throughout the meal. She made the experience feel comfortable from the start and gave the kind of service that makes you want to come back. AMBIANCE: Inside, the restaurant has a warm wooden interior with dim lighting that gives it a relaxed, cozy energy. It feels casual enough for lunch, but still stylish enough to feel like you are treating yourself a bit. A nice balance between laid-back and lively. FOOD: I started with the Honey Mezcal cocktail, and it was delicious. Smooth, slightly smoky, with just enough sweetness to keep it refreshing without overdoing it. For lunch, I ordered the steak adobo, and it absolutely delivered. The sauce on the steak was rich and flavorful, tying the whole dish together perfectly. Paired with the rice and beans, it became one of those comforting meals that still feels elevated at the same time. IMPRESSIONS: El Segundo Sol nails the combination of strong service, flavorful food, and inviting atmosphere. Between Maya's hospitality, the excellent cocktail, and a steak dish I would gladly order again, this turned into a standout lunch experience in Las Vegas.

Solid spot for tacos and sangria on the Strip. The tacos were flavorful and well-portioned, and the sangria was refreshing -- perfect for Vegas vibes. Lively atmosphere, fast service, and a great place to stop when you want something casual but satisfying. Would definitely come back for drinks and tacos again.

El Segundo Sol is located at the edge of the Fashion Show Mall off the strip in Las Vegas. My team came here for a happy hour event hosted by one of our partners and we had an incredible time. The restaurant has Mexican hacienda vibes. Definitely a great backdrop for good times. We were a large party taking up the entire bar area and I was especially impressed by the above and beyond service by Ozzy. He was really on top of making sure our drink orders were taken quickly, refilling our appetizers, and clearing the table so we have more space. Great customer service and attention to detail. I had a few Skinny Classico ($15 value/each) and a few Nada Horchata ($16 value/each). All the drinks were great. The staff also took special care with my group as some folks wanted salt rims and some wanted tajin rims. The bartenders were really gracious about the requests I made when putting in some orders for our customers. They also brought delicious freshly fried chips with a variety of salsa and guac to our tables. Tacos and skewers also circulated around. I noticed they did a great job tracking which areas have already been served and which areas to continue with for the next batch of food. Thought service, well crafted cocktails, and tasty eats. Such a great happy hour experience, especially for such a large group like the one we came with.

El Segundo Sol is the best Mexican food restaurant I've been to in Las Vegas! We visited in 2023 for the first time, but last week, we were back in town with a hankering for some Mexican food... We knew exactly where to go! I got the shredded beef enchiladas. Then for the table, we got the bottomless chips and salsa, and an order of guacamole. Everything was cooked to absolute perfection! Another one of my favorite things about this place is the incredible waitstaff, they are on top of everything and very friendly! Then, of course, the vibe is just THE BEST. Even if you sit inside, you still feel like you're in a tropical environment, with lots of hanging vines, trees... It feels like a relaxing vacation from start to finish. They are a bit on the pricier side, it costed about $125 for 3 adults to eat here. & Everyone only drank water. However, everything is fresh, portions are good, and the flavors are out of this world. Totally worth the price. If you haven't been here yet, what are you waiting for? Go check them out!

We walked up for lunch. We opted to sit outside since it wasn't too hot. Nice views of the Wynn across the street and good for people watching. Ordered the prickly pear on the rocks. It was good! The hibiscus mule was good too if you like mescal. Ordered the table guac, hot, but was mild in my opinion but very tasty! Ordered the fajitas to share. It was good for the 2 of us. It came with cilantro rice which was very good and black beans, which were bland. It also comes with a side of sour cream, salsa, guac, corn, and 4 small flour tortillas. The meal reminded me like a resort in Cabo. It was so good and flavorful. Service was great! He was very attentive and came to our table several times to make sure we were good throughout our meal. Music was good, not too loud. I recommended stopping here for lunch!

Are the Baja tacos no longer offered? I don't see it on the menu on the website.

Do they still do the tequila pairing tasting menu?

Is there a gluten free menu?

The majority of our menu are gluten free including the taco and fajita platters. We use traditional corn tortillas that don't contain any gluten ingredients.

Are children allowed in bar area? It's my daughters bday and she wants Mexican! It's her favorite! But I would like to save a little money??!?

There is plenty of seating away from the bar are as well, children are just not allowed at the bar. They can sit in the seating area away from the bar.

Do you have hard tacos, or soft taco only?

    Soft

Is there a happy hour here?

    Yes, there's a happy hour from 3:30pm-6:30pm.

Traveling in July with 10 people; one vegan, two gluten-free and one underaged; is this a restaurant for us, please? I've eaten here before and it was a GREAT experience and would love to share that experience with my travel companions.

Yes! El Segundo Sol is a family-friendly restaurant that offers a gluten free menu with many vegan options available. We welcome you to call our restaurant at 702-258-1211 to book a reservation!

Walked in at around 8:30/9pm and it was pretty dead. My friend and I were able to secure a booth, which felt intimate. It was ample space for 2 people but I can imagine if you had 4 people you'd feel squished. My friend ordered the Naked & Afraid and I ordered the Tropical Howler with vodka. Both of our cocktails were amazing and we'd order them again. If you like sweet cocktails, Tropical Howler is definitely for you. We both ordered a shot of the Mind Eraser, which had coffee liqueur I believe, I am not sure but you could taste the coffee and it was pretty good. Our bartender gave it to us with straws so you could probably sip it like a cocktail or take it like a shot. We liked the vibes in here due to its dark and intimate feel. We probably would have gotten a different vibe if we didn't have our own booth. I would come here again!

We were seated at the bar and had a nice time interacting with the cocktail craftsman/man in charge, Davey. The menu is his creative brainchild and changes a few times a year, with the current one based on the movie Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. There's a 90 minute limit and 2 drink minimum per guest. Because of the craft and attention to detail that goes into each cocktail, we finished our 2 drinks just about right at the 90 minute mark. I really enjoyed both of my cocktails but the one that stood out to me the most was Strange Medicine. It was reminiscent of a martini but with Brie-washed Old Bison vodka, Cocchi Americano, and herb oil. It was so good that I wasn't sure what drink to choose next, but Davey was helpful with a great recommendation for another cocktail served with a chunk of parmesan cheese on top. Keep in mind that you're paying for the experience and the level of craft. So with a 2 drink minimum it won't be a cheap experience but it's definitely something worth checking out for the unique, creative cocktails.

Pro: Fear and Loathing menu, updated furniture, yummy drinks…read more Con: Not the previous Laundry Room you remembered, glorified tourist trap, lack of atmosphere control. Slow drink service. The Laundry Room is dead, long live the Laundry Room. The remodel that took place during Jan to May 2026 saw a wide amount of change from Corner Management, the mother company of LR. They got rid of the absolute corner stone of the lead bartender, Anthony, and redecorated the place to look more like the sister bar, Doberman Drawing Room (5 Stars). The remodel was absolutely needed, as the regulars and Dean's List could point out, the place was kind of falling apart. From water warped bar top, uncomfortable chairs, and chipped paint/worned carpet, you would think this place WAS left over from the Prohibition era. What sets this establishment apart from any of the pretend speakeasy on the strip is the atmosphere. At any given time, you could cram 16 people there at a time, even with the reduced drinking time cut from 2 hours to 90 minutes, this place could only cycle thru 50 to 60 people from the reduced nightly opening of 4 hours from 6 hours previously. This make LR special, not some faux speakeasy in Cosmo or Resort World that could jam in 80 people per hour with room to spare. Gone is the rugged identity of the old laundry room for El Cortez, this is spiced up, every square inch of the wall is covered with some art piece, very much different from the Depression era decor. Some art selection are just straight up chaos from the management, the main cherub piece behind the bar is just insanity. The new master of house, Davey, showed skills with his new 14 drink menu, but fell short of what made LR great in the past 14 years. Now, the man had just two months to create his drink list and per himself, had to start from the scratch from when he took over.. So, with that said, let's focus on the drinks. Hemingway Dalguiri, Dust + Ether, and High Noon Static - all great in taste, presentation, and talent, abet we can see the hesitation when making his own drinks, thus slowing down service by quite a bit. My party saw him struggle making 6 drinks at once, 4 of them the same drinks. Recommendation from someone else, maybe record the drink making process and try to eliminate non productive habits and motions via video viewing. Since Davey is a visionary, looking in the past is a deal breaker for him. If you are trying to finish up a previous menu for the Dean's List, the joke is on you, that is a no. Where the hostess (the only person that survived the purge from the remodel) explained to him that exception needs to happen to keep the Dean's List going, the answer was a no since no one at management told him about this. When asked about what will the new requirements will be for the future, it's simple, finish the menu before it's replaced with no chance of catching up. Once a menu is done, it's done. I guess it's easier to keep the drinks under control with less ingrediencies needed behind the bar, but wait a minute... drink number 15, Research and Development, that should give Davey some leeway to non menu drinks right? Turns out, not so much. Sidecar- cognac, orange liqueur, lemon juice. Simple right? He leaves the room to get something from Commonwealth... didn't management installed a new fridge to hold the larger ice cubes, where previous bar keep have to venture out all the time? Turns out, there was no Cognac or any Brandy in the Laundry Room. I can see how things are shaped, strict bottle control is for the benefit of the bar, not for the customer. There is now Vodka, foam, and milk wash but lost Cognac or Brandy, but besides the freedom of choices were also compounded with complete lack of rules. For the last 14 years, the hostess and bar staff on rotation were friendly yet firm about house rules. First given upon entering the secret or window doors, then by the bartender after an aperitif is given (now eliminated). No photo, religion, politic, standing at the bar, name dropping, brawling, telephone calls, PDA, and smoking, plus don't be creepy, be patient, and know your limit. Most of these were not enforced the first 2 times my party of regulars have visited since the remodel. The cardinal sin of allowing one single 4 top to seat 2 people at a time is just wild. But hey, no rules are listed on the new simple menu and none giving at the door or at the seats. So what is this place now? 20 to 23 dollars for a drink plus more for popcorn. All for the experience of being in a noise warfare between Commonwealth and La Mona Rosa's speaker systems, with LR's own music turned up high, and the piano only used one night of the week. I would recommend Doberman Drawing Room as of now for better drinks options, less noise, and vibe. The new menu to replace Fear and Laundry will come out this Fall, will be bring some regulars with me to check on LR again and hopefully give more than 2 stars on the next review.

As someone who loves all things quirky and unusual, The Golden Tiki has always been right up my alley. When a friend came into town and wanted to celebrate her boyfriend's birthday, I thought it would be the perfect place to kick off our evening. I was able to make an online reservation just a couple of days in advance, which was quick and painless. What I didn't realize was that they offer a weekday happy hour and live music! We were seated in "Bull***t Corner," which turned out to be the perfect spot. We had a great view of both the bar and the entertainment, making for a lively and entertaining atmosphere. Also, can't forget to mention the service. The hosts were fun but our actual server was absolutely hysterical and fit right in with the fun. She kept us laughing throughout our visit, while also being incredibly attentive. Despite the busy atmosphere, she made sure our drinks were flowing, checked on us regularly, and made sure everything was taken care of. It's not often you find someone who can be both entertaining and genuinely great at their job, but she pulled it off effortlessly. Our guests were genuinely impressed, and everyone had a fantastic time. The drinks were excellent as always--I honestly don't think I've ever had a bad cocktail here. I haven't had the chance to try their food yet, and we decided to stick with a few drinks since we already had dinner reservations elsewhere, but after this visit, I definitely plan on coming back on a weeknight to order from the food menu. If you're looking for a fun, unique Vegas experience with great drinks, and plenty of personality, The Golden Tiki is always a solid choice.

We were sat at a super cute table (there were 4 of us) and looked through the menu. The decor was super cute! Sort of old vintage looking couches around some tables, dim lighting, I loved the vibe. We each ordered something different from their cocktail menu from our very nice server. While waiting for those, our friend went to close out the tab and ordered shots, but asked for something that would be good. They proceeded to give us something with muddled strawberries, I was blown away at how good it was! Best shot I have ever had, so fresh. I love when you give bartenders freedom to play and create something so good! Our cocktails were so interesting and very tasty. I'd love to come back when we have some more time and try some of the other drinks. Everything about this place was amazing to me! Vibe, staff, the drinks, I had a great time!

The indoor space is sexy and dark, beautifully designed with lots of velvet and rich textures all around. In a cool contrast, the back patio is a bright, vibrant mix of pink, turquoise, and white. While you're out there, be sure to snap a picture in their photo booth! The staff here is simply INCREDIBLE! They are always so welcoming and do a fantastic job of helping walk you through the menu. Because the cocktail menu changes frequently with unique, rotating themes, you get a completely fresh experience every single time you visit. On my last trip, the theme was music through different eras of time, which was easily one of my favorites yet. They also have standard house cocktails, be sure to check out the punch of the day! Before you leave, don't forget to check out their cool merch and swag, which is beautifully framed up on the wall right behind the bar. No matter where you are staying in Vegas, make sure to put Velveteen Rabbit at the very top of your destination list!

Our server, Jessica provided top-notch service, she was professional, attentive, and incredibly welcoming throughout the evening. They even surprised us with complimentary snacks and cocktail shots, which was such a generous and thoughtful touch that made our night feel even more special! The small bites we ordered were also absolutely delicious and paired perfectly with our drinks. Sure, it is known; however, it was surprisingly not that busy for a Friday. We were seated at a shell like booth and this space between the back side of the Players Club and the Cash cage, is a lovely and elegant place. Is it expensive? yes. Most other fine establishments are also expensive in Vegas. It is what it has become. Is that good? Probably not; however, it does give you the opportunity to experience something unique and special. Although we had one server, the servers worked very well together throughout our 90 minutes here and really team assisted with each other. Between the two of us, we had three drinks. You can page through the very detailed menu, and I decided to have the Passion's Serenade drink, which was a glass partially frozen with a coconut and passionfruit puree and then also had some chocolate rum, vanilla and fresno chili. It was a delicious drink, and actually was a great "sit back and wait" drink, because it took a while for the frozen portion to melt. The experience comes with some complimentary bar snacks and then some complimentary mini jello shots on the way out. The check is presented in an exquisite "Vault" Type of book. Overall, it was a great experience, and I would return again in the future. Expect drink prices to range from about $30 to $70, with some even higher for the "market price" drinks.
