I ordered the brisket quesadillas extra crispy, and wow--one of the best I've ever had. Perfectly cheesy, crispy, and packed with flavor. And don't even get me started on the churros... absolute heaven! If you go, do yourself a favor and order them. Now I just need to come back for Taco Tuesday--can't wait! Where food is fun. I've been accused of being "fussy". I'm also not a fan of run of the mill Mexican. This place somehow picked me. We had chips and salsa, I had the hot dog (I don't even like hot dogs and generally don't eat meat but it sounded awesome and was!) and my husband did the brisket burrito. It was all fresh tasting and wonderful. It's an eclectic feel when you walk in. The restaurant itself is a shed with a bar in the back and the front opens to a patio, and the kitchen is in a food truck. (It looked like their storage was out back). The servers were definitely working as a team and friendly and attentive. There were only another half dozen things I want from the menu so will definitely be heading back. They do seem to run out of things, as they were out of the mole wings that we went there for but found plenty more to get us fed. And the five dollar margaritas were truly on point! read more

My sister took us to this place and it was absolutely amazing. The vibes are 10/10 with a super chill patio area decorated in umbrellas that spark joy - and the music they had on was fantastic. The whole place is just a vibeeee. Nestled in an alcove of quirky art galleries, El Segundo slays some stellar tacos out of a food truck's kitchen, with an open-air patio that makes you feel like you're on island time with some locals. The ambiance is hipster meets bachata, the one-man-band that performed fit in perfectly, covering all genres from R&B to country. The environment and menu catered to patrons of all ages from kids playing giant connect 4 while they waited for a table, to older adults checking out the hype on birria tacos. Management was warm and welcoming (thanks Bradley), making you feel like he would pull up a chair for you at his own dinner table. But the real standout was the food... we tried a few of the tacos and will list them in order of preference, but I think they're all worth a shot: el pastor (pork), el big mac, chicken, fish, brisket. Our only critique of the night was that our service left a lot to be desired... if I could give 4.5 stars, I would, but I'm hopeful it was just a busy night for her... our drinks came out after we finished our entire meal, which at that point, we could have just done without. We stopped in for a late night bite. The location is tucked away near an art gallery. Walking into the shop we were greeted and sat at the bar. We had two cocktails which were refreshing. We order the elote dip appetizer and a few tacos. The star of the show was the fish taco. Would return just for that. We finished the meal with their tres leches. Will definitely go back. read more

Found this place on Yelp, as I was trying to get some New Mexican place. I got the Birria tacos to the first time and they were on fire. Second time I went I got 2 el pastor tacos and Flor de calabaza, the flor was very good. I don't eat pork but girlfriend said they are good. I got the mole smoked wings for us to also try, but probably would not get them again. Does not really have a mole taste to them, more of a bbq Texas smoked taste, which is fine if you like that. Had a fish taco as I waited for the food to go, I will definitely be having the fish taco again! Super fresh and good combo of slaw and pineapple. Gabriela the bartender was super nice and helpful with food selections. Bradly the owner is nice as well. Will def continue coming back. Only wish they would include a vodka special (house if fine), for the happy hour times from now hour 4-6 menu to be competitive for other locations.
