I've never felt so conflicted writing a review, because half of me loved this place and the other half felt ripped off. The Food: I had the stuffed quesadilla with asada (beef) and it did not disappoint. The meat was flavorful and moist while the white cheese was soft and gooey. However, the tortilla could have been crisped up a little more, as the gooey inside made the tortilla so soft that it ripped too easily and fell apart. Still delicious though. My wife has the 3 street tacos for $9 and, wow, talk about being disappointed. Firstly, the tacos are mini size. Like, smaller than the palm of your hand. Second, they came with sour cream -- not very authentic. Third, you'd need six tacos to get you remotely full. Next, the accoutrements were nothing to write home about. The salsas were just OK, and the pickled carrots and radishes were bland and not very plentiful -- literally just 2 or 3 pieces per person. The horchata was average at best. The Setting: Firstly, it's listed as the super generic "Street Taco" online but the sign out front says "El Street Taco." Second, even though it looks like a sit-down restaurant, you can't go inside. They've set it up as a stand with only outdoor seating. The cash register is behind these tiny windows that you have to duck down to look through if you want to see the cashier; super awkward. Overall, it's clean and organized, but there's not enough garbage cans and it's not very cozy or inviting -- and especially not for the prices you're paying. The Service: Our server was fast, friendly, and efficient -- a true plus for the business. The Conclusion: The quesadilla was so good, but the rest of it left me wanting. From the outdoor-only seating, the weird window setup, the undersized tacos, only go to "Street Taco" if you're prepared to get street-cart quality food at sit-down restaurant prices. read more

This place has amazing crispy tacos. We like the crispy carnitas. But others in our group swear by the asada soft tacos. Their chips, guacamole and beans are excellent too. One thing to make sure you ask for are the veggies. They are spicy marinated carrots and fresh cucumbers and radishes. So good! Don't miss El Street Taco! It's our go to for a taco fix! read more

This is currently my favorite spot for a quick bite to eat. I love their agua fresca. Their churros were just okay--they tasted slightly raw. But I also appreciate the fact that their al pastor isn't so salty, like other places. The patio also has a very homey atmosphere to it, and there's never a line. Found this little gem while searching for some good Mexican grub while we were up the street. This place was a great place for fresh, delicious Mexican food. I choose the 3 for $8 crunchy tacos. The carne asada and pollo al pastor were both delicious. The carne had a delicious flavor and the pollo with the al pastor flavor was a delicious alternative to the traditional pork option. My partner for street nachos which were absolutely bomb! Everything here has good flavor and isn't too greasy and doesn't make you feel too heavy after. The workers were very kind and helpful. The food does take awhile, but to get the freshness, totally worth it. They only have a counter and a few tables outside, but the food is delicious!!! Really wanted to like this place since it's close to work but sadly I was disappointed. Please update the menu and names to be called "tiny tacos" as they are just that TINY! (Jack in the box size) online photos show them large but the crunchy tacos are honestly mini size and super small Carne asada meat had absolutely no flavor and had fat. Was also cold and I ate it right away. 3 mini tacos and a coke was $14! And left me starving... like not even joking I went to Jersey Mikes afterwards to get a regular size sub and I'm not a big person either If you want salsa it's extra. Only the green one is free and you get 1. The limes come with 1 lime in a bag and the cucumber they only give you 2 pieces!... every Mexican place I've ever been to they have given a bag full of cucumbers and minimum 4-5 limes. Tacos are usually $1-2 for street tacos with onions cilantro everything and this one was almost double the price without those toppings, no flavor as well. There's a nice little sitting patio outside which is cool and they are quick with the food but it can't justify the price and not even filling. If you were to order something I would say get the burrito. I've never had it but going based off of pictures I'd say you would get more food but idk the cost on that either read more

Came here on a Saturday morning to get their breakfast burritos because I've seen it on their menu when I get their 3 for $8 tacos, great deal btw. Decent size for the price but not for the quality. First off the eggs were so over cooked that they were chewy and rubbery, the hashbrowns were still raw inside the burrito and it seems like the cook did not bother to season the potatoes. The meat was minimal. The burrito was horrifically made. Half of my burrito was just hashbrowns and egg while the other half contained some egg, hasbrown and full sausage links (cook was so careless he didn't even bother to chop them up) Sorry but if your cook can't even prepare a burrito properly then they should seek employment elsewhere because cooking is not their Forte. Needless to say, I will NEVER return here for their poorly executed excuse for an abysmal breakfast burrito. read more

I've been coming here for a year and I just had to come on here to say how much I love this spot. Every visit that I have had here has not disappointed! Ive ordered their carne asada burritos, hard/soft shell tacos, sopes and there street nachos.... All INCREDIBLE. The nachos are my FAVORITE. The food tastes fresh and the woman up front is so kind and attentive. She's been the one to help me every time I have visited. So happy to have found this delicious neighborhood gem for street tacos and burritos. Ordered the 3/$7 taco special with 2 Al pastor and 1 carne asada with all the toppings. A must! Instead of two corn tortillas each street taco had one with a more hardy (thicker) corn soft shell. Also had the cheese quesadilla with chicken Al pastor (did not know you could have pollo prepared that way); a (hefty) carne asada burrito (with fries!!!); and fish taco. Found this place through Yelp when I was in the area craving for tacos. It's only an outdoor seating with just a counter to place your orders. 1. Fish taco - 3/5 - too crunchy and way much batter. I didn't even tasted the fish 2. Carne Asada 3/5 - good but the meat is too tough in my opinion 3. Really enjoyed the 3 street tacos, rice, beans with cheese, and jamaica I picked up from here yesterday. The carnitas taco was my favorite, then the carne asada. I wasn't used to the taste and appearance of the small cubes of chicken, but the taste was ok. I loved the hot salsa and the avocado salsa. Flavor of the jamaica was perfection. Not too sweet and not too tart or sour. Was worth stopping in the rain, ordering at the pickup window, and sitting under the canopy for the short wait time. Service was friendly and efficient. What a hidden gem. The street fries are next level! We also ordered the asada burrito and street tacos. Everything was packed with meat and reasonably priced. It's a small stand with a walk up window, but there is outdoor seating and a cozy heater. We waited about 15 minutes for our food because there were quite a few patrons ahead of us, plus Door Dash pickups, but it wasn't so bad. This place was good! I was kind of skeptical about flavor because it looks like a gentrified Mexican spot, but I was proven to be wrong. The fries and beans could've used more salt, but everything tasted really good. The rice was a good flavor, but everything did have a bit of a kick of spice, even the meat. Despite it having a good flavor, it didn't have that authentic flavor you usually get from hole-in-the-wall Mexican fast-food restaurants and it did taste like gentrified tacos. It definitely was overpriced (paid around $60 for a 3 person meal), but at least the food tasted good. The only thing that I barely could finish was the Jamaica agua fresca. It was so watery and did not taste like Jamaica at all. Portions were kind of small for a side of rice and beans, especially when it's about $3.25 per side. Overall, taste was good and service was good. I was impressed in general as this place kind of looked like it was just overpriced tacos with little flavor. But considering the expensive price and lack of authentic flavor would make this a last resort option for me when looking for Mexican restaurant. read more

Had an appointment in the area so stopped by for a quick lunch on a Tuesday. On special was either 3 soft tacos or 3 crispy tacos for $7.50. I ordered 3 soft and 3 hard tacos. For the meat I selected carnitas and Al pastor. Did ask for asada but ended up getting all carnitas. The portions were bigger than I anticipated. 3 tacos would have been too few but 6 was a tad too much. As for the tacos itself it was ok. Meat was flavorful but the carnitas was definitely better than the Al pastor. There were 3-4 options for salsa and I selected the hottest one and it was pretty spicy and tasty but I only received 1 small container so had to ration it between my 6 tacos. Overall not the best I've had but still a tasty and satisfying lunch. No indoor seating. You order at the window and there are covered tables outside. Not a place to come out of your way but a good stop for a quick lunch if you're in the vicinity. Credit card accepted but 50 cents charge. So bring cash to save some change. read more

I've been coming here since before they opened, when they sold normal sized tacos out front (4 for $5), when the shop was still being renovated. As soon as they opened the tacos got smaller & were 3 for $5.. understandable. Now they are 3 for $9 & I can no longer justify the price. Everything has gone up significantly in price, which is again- completely understandable, but the portions got smaller as well. If you love a good taco & burrito as much as my family does, we know good quality & this is not worth what they're charging to be honest. Then they give you minimal salsa and charge extra if you ask for more. We use more than 1 salsa for 3 tacos. When we're already spending $60 on food, it shouldn't be a big deal to throw in a couple extra salsas. Customer service is hit or miss. I wish them well, but I felt like an honest review would be helpful for those expecting more than they may receive. read more

After living a mile away from street taco for the last 5.5 years I finally tried it! It's not that I never wanted to try it it's just that every time I want tacos it's always past 8 and they close at 8. Went last Tuesday (no they do NOT have Taco Tuesday deals) and it's 3 tacos for $7. I got pollo al pastor, carnita, and asada soft tacos and for the salsa they gave us one of each...my least favorite was the spicy one which is odd because I love spicy food but it didn't have a good taste it was just spice...idk if that makes sense?
