Warning: Make sure you calculate your orders correctly. They overcharged me. I bought 3 tripas tacos and 5 meat tacos and was charged $18. As I was waiting for my food, I looked at the price board and realized they overcharged me. I went back and asked her how much each taco was and she told me that carne tacos were $1.50 and tripas was $2.50 which she told me was on the wall. I looked at both walls and it clearly states $1.75 for tripas tacos. Let's give them the benefit of a doubt and say they forgot to change the prices on the wall. 2.50X3 = $7.50 and 1.50X5 = $7.50. $15 plus tax shouldn't equal out to $18. There were more people coming around so I didn't want to call her out in front of everyone so I left it as that. Now for the tacos. The best tripas tacos hands down. They cook them crispy on the outside and a little soft on the inside. You get 2 different textures and all the flavors. I also like the carnitas tacos. My partner likes the multitas. Best to call in your order to make sure they have the specialty meats before you drive over and also to save yourself time waiting for your food. I have been living in El Monte for a couple years. This is probably one of the best taco spot in town. The tacos are delicious, my favorite of all time has to be the cabeza. The green and red sauce are very tasty perfect to go with the tacos or burritos. Come early because they close at 6:30, definitely worth the trip if your in the area !! My best bud from grade school brought me to this majestic place the other day. Long story short, I'm so glad he brought me here. Rating: Maybe I should rate this place lower so no one comes. Its very cozy and a great place to enjoy your food and catch up with friends. Ocassionally, you'll hear some fixed up cars driving by and show off by seeing who's car makes the loudest noise. I'm happy and not so happy this place is close to work since my co-workers and I come here pretty often. I've had their rajas burrito, potato tacos and their fried quesadilla with carne asada. Portions are big. The rajas burrito and fried quesadilla were delicious. The potato tacos were good too, but the potatoes were a little bland. Putting extra salsa made it just fine, though. Hidden gem alert!!! I found this place while waiting for my tires to get rotated. This place is definitely a great place for tacos or any mexican food. The tacos here are 1.25, no tax added so 1.25 straight up! The meat is marinated really well and you just go up and order and you get your tacos in less than 5 minutes! The parking lot is kind of small but there is also residential parking around the corner. I like how they have hand sanitizer right there too so once you finish getting your tacos you can clean your hands! I'll definitely be coming back for some good tacos! read more

Hands down the best variety of tacos in the area. If I had cash on me all the time I'd probably have El Taco Man every week =P They also serve burritos, tortas, nachos, bowls and aguas frescas. You can get these entrees with or without meat. I personally enjoy the al pastor, chicharron and rajas tacos. All are very juicy, flavorful and they definitely do not skimp out on how much protein/filling they give you in each taco! It also comes with onions and cilantro. I've never had rajas tacos before I went to El Taco Man. It's roasted poblano chiles roasted with mushrooms and onions. It's a good vegetarian option and has a spicy kick to it! I got a carne asada all meat burrito which comes with plentiful amounts of carne asada and some onion and cilantro. Personally, I thought it was a bit too much onion and the salsa given could have been spicier. But the carne asada tasted good and the quality was good. I also got an horchata, which didn't taste like any horchata I've had before. It had less cinnamon and wasn't as sweet. Also asked for extra pico de gallo which came in a medium sauce container. When you get your item, it comes in a styrofoam to-go box. Once you open it up and you'll find a pretty dense, fat burrito smothered in green sauce and sour cream, yummm. *Green sauce is spicy as hell* but tastes delicious with everything together. When you cut open the burrito it's filled with a good amount of onions, cilantro, and well seasoned shredded pork meat. The carnitas is super tender and this dish can get kind of messy to eat. Try to get a bit of everything in each bite and it's literally the best thing on earth. This secret gem in El Monte definitely WINS with their tacos! I was able to try their tacos with asada, tripas (intestines), chorizo, and al pastor! My favorite was the chorizo and tripas! I was used to eating tripas extremely fried, but the tripas here is more on the lumpy, thicker side! It tasted sooo good though, if you are a fan of intestines! Their potato tacos were also REALLY good! The seasoned mashed potatoes in the deep fried, hard taco shells tasted so delicious! Ask for a side of sour cream and guac to go with these tacos, and you won't regret it! Their fried quesadilla (given it takes 15 minutes to make) was okay! It reminded me of a sope. This place is awesome! Never knew such a restaurant like this existed so close to home. The seating and environment is great. The place isn't dirty like all the other places in south El Monte. The food here is excellent! I got 3 pastor tacos and a asada burrito and tasted excellent. Their quesadillas and bowls are on point! The prices are competitive with many other taco places, but the food taste so much better here. Be prepared for a food coma after eating all of this food though. Also be prepared for their hot sauce. It's hotter than the normal hot sauces you see at other taco places, both the red and green. I will definitely be making my way here again! read more

I haven't been to the restaurant yet but we had El Taco Man cater our baby shower this past weekend. They were a HIT and everyone LOVED the tacos. The seasoning for all the meats was perfect, the rice is to die for, and the condiments were super fresh. People especially liked the Carne Asada & Al Pastor. (Next time - I'd prob do less chicken and more of the other two meats since it was so popular) We booked them for 3.5 hours for 50 people and had plenty of leftovers that I'm still eating to this day. Daniel (the manager) was awesome to communicate with/work with and he is even nicer in person. I also worked with Gabby (who manages catering) and she was able to be flexible in that we reduced the order from 60 to 50 people the night before.
