I have not once ordered food food for pick and they have my order right when I get there or the unfortunate situation of wanting to trust they have figured it out and get home with missing food. Party of 14 was no problem for this restaurant. From the moment we set foot inside we felt welcomed. The ambience is traditional Mexican and very inviting. This is the absolute best guacamole I've ever had and I love my guac. The service is fast, efficient, and extremely friendly. Staff will make suggestions if you give them an idea of what you want. The food was really good. I had no problem with the food. And the portions were huge! They brought 1 out of 4 of our plates, and it wasn't what we ordered. The waitress seemed annoyed the second she came to our table. And then the bill comes, we put the card in the holder and it sits there for 20 minutes. The waitress never walked by to get it. I kept pushing it closer to the edge of the table, stood it up with the card sticking out and nothing. Several waiters walked by and saw it. Finally a different girl comes to get it. So being a native Tucsonan, and having a Mexican grandmother, I acquired a certain taste for Mexican food growing up. While most of the places in Flagstaff are good, none really truly satisfy, but this one speaks to my Mexican food homesickness. And my soul. The service was excellent. While I got my order to go, they staff was very friendly and attentive. Even El Jefe made sure I was taken care of while I waited. The food. I ordered the Tacos Al Carbon and I have no regrets. Some of the best carne asada tacos I've had, in the history of carne asada tacos. The Mexican rice is perfect (aside from the Lima beans, but that's not a deal breaker for me). The beans, while different in texture compared to what you get at most places in town are hugely representative of homemade refried beans which I am hugely a fan of. Ordering my food to go, they supply you with a large cup of salsa and Mexican coleslaw, which are both great. And the added bonus was that they still gave me a bag of their chips to finish the salsa off with. Pricy? A little. But the portions are large enough that you and your better half could share a plate, and still have room for dessert! read more

First time and have driven by it many times when in Flag! They have large booths to seat 6 which is nice as well as other tables to accommodate larger groups. The staff was very pleasant and prompt. We placed the order and a few minutes later my wife saw an allergy alert about peanuts. My youngest son has a peanut allergy and as it turns out the item he was ordering had that sauce on it. We asked the waiter and he knew about allergies and quickly went to notify the kitchen to not put the sauce on his food. Food and portions were both good. Ernesto was my server and he was so nice in helping me customize a vegetarian enchilada dish. I told him what I wanted and he made it happen. I ordered the tapatio enchiladas that comes with the 3 different sauces. I substituted the meat for veggies and cheese. My only disappointment is that I visited for breakfast and they did not have a breakfast burrito on the menu. The huevos rancheros were very tasty though.
