Best Mexican food in Arizona. My parents want to buy a place in Flagstaff just so they can eat here more! I'm from Phoenix, and I've been around Mexican food my whole life. A friend of mine from Chicago recently told me that there are no good Mexican food places in Arizona, and I thought it was just because he didn't like Tex-Mex, but I recently visited Chicago and tasted some amazing Mexican food. Food was great. Salsa as well. Felt rushed by the server. Short and blunt when asking menu questions. Portion sizes were large and chips and salsa was excellent. Did go at about 9 pm so maybe that explains why we were rushed but there were about 14 people there. read more

Very good Mexican food and an amazing array of options on the menu. The service was excellent and the food was very tasty. We would definitely return. I really hate to leave a bad review especially now as we are nearing the end of the pandemic but the food here was really bad. I ordered the 2 item combo with a chicken taco and crispy Chile rellano. The chicken was so soupy that it literally turned my taco to mush. The crispy rellano was burnt on the outside and doughy on the inside and the chile itself was tasteless. I felt like the cook worked hard to make my meal inedible. My spouses meal was little better. It had all the right ingredients but very blah tasting. Straight up good & traditional Mexican food. Our whole family was happy with their meal. And, most of us had leftovers to box up. None of us ordered the fajitas but, I think that is their specialty. One Flaming fajita fire after another was delivered to tables all around us the entire time we were there. Trying this place. Ordered the Super Shredded Beef Burrito to-go. I ordered it wet, half red and half green. I asked the waitress if it came with rice and beans and she said it does. Get home to find no rice, no beans, and no wet with no half red and half green sauce. I don't think she understood my English. It was just okay. Would I go back? Perfect antidote for a Monday. Festive and friendly with really yummy food. We got carnitas and carne asada tacos--very tasty. Kids meals were a hit, and my daughter even liked the rice, which has never happened ever. The enchilada trio is really really good: one mole, one chipotle, and one verde enchilada. It's absolutely delicious, and the plate is like 14 inches wide. You can't go wrong. Margarita was decent too. My son ordered a hamburger and French fries (I know, I know) and apparently that was great too. We ordered the Camarongos (shrimp & mushrooms), half a dozen of oysters, the diet tacos and a shrimp cocktail! The seafood was fresh! They were gracious enough to bring out a complementary side of cucumbers to substitute for our chips! The salsa was amazing as well! When I eat Mexican food, I want a rainbow painted booth, a margarita that packs a punch, and a dish with plenty of cilantro and lime and veggies. It's usually hard to get all those things at once, but this place delivers! Everything was delicious and the interior was like a rainbow explosion. Hands down some of the best authentic Mexican food I've had in a long time! We had the guacamole to start and it was chunky and fresh! I had the Milanesa beef plate and it reminded me so much of home i almost cried. This is one of the best Mexican spots I have been to. Leticia was my server, and she was SO friendly. She gave me enough time to look at their HUGE menu and didnt bombard me at all, but still made sure my needs were taken care of. This menu will literally have everything any Mexican food lover could even think of. I tried something new, a shrimp and crab meat enchilada. Hmm why not? I was astounded. We were travelers from Texas, which has a large population of Hispanics and Mexican restaurants. As one of the highest rated restaurant in the town, we went in with high expectations. With a full house, the staff told us it would be a 20 minute wait time, so we looked at the menu. We were shaken by how high the prices were, but we stayed due to being extremely hungry. They were able to seat us in 10 minutes, and were very quick to service us. When we were served our food, the servings were HUGE, not even an over exaggeration. That justified the price for everything. Although we came in with incredibly hungry stomachs, we had to take home 1/3 of each plate due to the amount we were given. With quick service and large servings, this was 100% worth our time. read more

We were spending two nights in Flagstaff while on a road trip and found this fantastic restaurant. We were able to get our party of 10 in with no hassle and the atmosphere was fun and festive. The staff was kind and professional. We never had to wait for anything. The salsa was delicious with lots of cilantro. The entrees were phenomenal, especially the chipotle chimichangas. The ranchero beans were fantastic! I got a house margarita on the rocks; it was strong, just how I like it! We liked it so much we are going back again tonight.
