I used to love Happy Hour here... unfortunately, with recent changes to the menu, I will no longer come back for HH or Taco Tuesday. They will no longer serve chips and salsa for HH and they removed the Cadillac margarita from their HH menu too. No point without these two staples in my view. I will come sporadically for a lunch or dinner, but there are better choices now for HH and Taco Tuesdays. read more

Love this place ! Everyone is always so kind and accommodating. The bar is usually where I like to go and Chris is always the best. Loved the experience and loved the food. They give you freshly made flour tortillas with honey butter instead of chips and salsa and they were delicious. 4% surcharge is not disclosed anywhere other than when you receive your check. When I asked what it was for I was told that it is so they don't raise their prices. That's a very deceptive practice to stick it to your customers instead of just raising your prices & let the customer decide if the value of the food is worth the cost. We paid a generous tip to the wait staff because they were great. They deserve their full tip but I'm sure people just subtract the surcharge from the tip, which isn't fair to the wait staff working so hard. read more

The last time I went here it was a very aggravating and frustrating experience. First of all, apparently they did away with complimentary chips and salsa for the table and instead replaced it with tortillas and butter. Whaaaat?! Then when we were told chips and salsa would be extra, and said fine, it took 20 minutes to get us said chips and salsa! Anytime we asked for a refill or extra this or that, it took a ridiculously long time. And no they were not packed. Tbh, it almost felt like our server was avoiding us; RARELY checked in on us and constantly would try and rush off before we could finish asking for x, y, or z. And we had to remind her repeatedly of said requests. Also - this might come off as petty but hear me out - our server's hairstyle wasn't appropriate for serving food. Most of her hair was up in a ponytail, BUT she had a lock of hair hanging down (like bangs might hang off the sides of your face). Except the lock of hair wasn't cut to the length of bangs; it was the length of the rest of her hair, which hung past her bust. I couldn't stop thinking about "what if her hair grazed on food she was serving?" I was shocked nobody in management corrected her when she came in - that's a healthy code basic 101. read more

Then my husband said the steak was rubbery and also had no flavor. My daughter also complained that the chicken had no flavor. We were disappointed. This review is specifically for the AYCE Brunch on Sundays. Service is always very attentive and nice, there's a gentleman who usually serves us when we sit outside in the patio who is ALWAYS taking great care of us. I don't want to be disrespectful but he's bald, I wish I remembered his name.. but the bottomless mimosas got me forgetting some important details! This location has a carving station (tritip and pork ribs), taco station (al pastor, carne asada, chicken, beans), green/red cheese enchiladas, mole, birria, chile colorado, ceviche, seafood cocktail, aguachiles, menudo, and more! So overall a pretty great selection, but then comes price. It's $50 per person not including drinks.. we also got hit with a surcharge on our bill, it was a party of 4 so I doubt it was for gratuity and we didn't even put a card down yet.. so not a processing fee either. Service and food were good, but not $50 good. If it was $50 including mimosas then sure okay, but for food only.. it's worth more like $25 to $35 tops. read more

My husband and I went for lunch on a Sunday right when the brunch ended so it was a little if a mess with the clean up. Which didn't bother me but when they sat us in a both bench was a little dirty. Fine whatever. The host was the one who took drink order then someone brought over the butter, salsa and tortillas. Still more sitting and waiting until finally the server came and took order. We ordered a Mexican ceaser salad and the trio fajitas to share. Someone from the kitchen brings out the fajitas and that's it. Again we sit there waiting for server to come by and check on us. And drinks are done just sitting. Finally she comes and we ask for the salad n tortillas and she just blames the kitchen that they must have not seen the ticket for the salad. I get that they want to clean up the buffet but maybe help the patrons that are there sitting at the tables trying to have lunch. Probably wouldn't go back on a Sunday at that time . the food was good but service sucks read more

The last El Torito Grill left! It's not exactly the same as a regular El Torito. They always offer freshly made flour tortillas with honey butter which are great piping hot. Sadly they no longer doing the weekday lunch buffet. Violet here is always super friendly and helpful. I don't drink much but they have a nice bar as well. We have been coming to this El Torito for Happy Hour for more than 10 years! We went in tonight to find out their HH menu has completely changed: Cadillac Margaritas are $14 (they were $8), chips cost $3 now, and they got rid of our favorite smoky salsa and taco trios for HH. Our bill was more than double what we usually pay. We will try their Taco Tuesday next week. I will say our server was wonderful! read more
