Explained the situation above to Nathan and considered just getting a new garage door opener installed. Nathan gave me pricing and options if we went the route of getting a new door opener. He also took a look at the unit and stated that the part I described is actually still being made and available. With that, he also gave me the price if I just wanted the existing opener to be repaired. After weighing out the pros and cons, I decided to have the unit repaired versus getting a new one. Nathan went to work immediately and was extremely professional and explained some of the steps he was performing. He finished the repair in about 15-25 minutes. I did not have enough cash on me to pay him the exact amount, so he told me to forget the relatively small difference because we are repeat customers who will call him again as need--that's how a good businessman does business.
