This Taiwanese boba shop is very small and it's in the same plaza as Eiswelt. They offer 5-star points, just enter your phone number or scan your card and the points are added to your account. I only tried the teas. Lychee green tea with coconut and lychee jello and peach black tea with grass jelly. Both were really good! Not too sweet and had a very nice tea taste. The Peach black tea with grass jelly was my favorite of the 2. The grass jelly was really refreshing and the peach tea wasn't too sweet. Ding tea is usually what I go for when I'm a bit lazy because it's close to my house. It's not the best but it's consistent. I would have given another star but They've messed up my orders a couple of times by putting the wrong toppings into my drink or even making the wrong drink for me. But they were still good so I don't mind that much. They also have a rewards system so that's not bad either! Overall ding tea is a 4/5 to me. read more

Very quaint little boba shop! I haven't had a bad drink here yet. Their drinks are just the right amount of sweetness, and they don't overdo it on any of the syrups. Decided to try this new place out. The customer service was really great. The workers really know their drinks. I really liked that you were able to choose what level of sweetness and ice. I got the jasmine green milk tea with egg pudding and my friend got a hazelnut milk tea with boba. They tasted like any other drinks but it wasn't bad and the price was reasonable. A friend and I stopped by a couple days ago and at first, I didn't expect much, but I was pleasantly surprised! Their drinks have an authentic Taiwanese taste, which is very different from the usual Vietnamese-owned businesses in the local area. If I were to compare them to another tea shop, I'd say the taste is very similar to Ten Rens. We tried the Jasmine Green Milk Tea and the Lychee Black Tea; both were very good. Ding Tea also lets you choose how much ice and sugar you want! A great bonus. I will probably be back often and fill up my stamp card now that the temperature keeps increasing haha read more

There has been many instances when I would go home and the drinks would have no boba or no upgraded size.. Trust me, you're better off going to the Garden Grove location! As soon as I heard a new boba shop opened up, I made it my goal to try it. When I went, it was pretty empty. The parking was easy and the decoration/ambiance was nice. It's very coffee-shoppy and neat inside. They don't offer free Wifi however. There's a little iPad playing an Asian show, very distracting.. The drinks are pretty basic, but sometimes I just want a basic green milk tea, which I recommend. My friends were happy with their selections too. The staff is very quiet and not the friendliest (but in no way rude). I was annoyed that I ordered 2 milk green teas, and when I got home there was, instead, 2 green teas. It kinda ruined it a little for me, but I think I'll go back. And this time make sure they get my order correct before I leave the premises. read more

Just like another reviewer,I had gotten the Hokkaido milk tea because I was thinking it would be similar to the one at Boiling Point. The drink was hella different. I noticed on the menu the Hokkaido milk tea has a thumbs up symbol next to the name, which indicates the drink as a popular choice. It tastes like some weird stuff with an after taste of cheap caramel. I wouldn't get this drink again. Plus I think the cashier/tea barista (is that what they are called?) could be better. The guy wasn't very friendly. In addition, the place is the size of a closet with limited seating. On the plus side it's cheap-$3.25 for a milk tea and even cheaper for the teas. New favorite milk tea spot! Been looking for a consistent, quality milk tea spot with above average boba. Dingtea has answered the call. DRINKS - They have a large selection of milk teas and have a whole range of sweet levels you can choose from. Their signature milk tea and oolong milk tea are my favorites and 70% sweet on both drinks is my perfect medium. BOBA - The default boba is golden boba, which is a little bit bigger and chewier than the regular boba and they taste a little sweeter. I prefer their regular boba, but unfortunately it is only served on weekends (Friday night and Sat-Sun). The only con I can think of would be the wait times. I've had to wait 15 minutes for a couple of milk teas before, but the quality and consistency of their drinks is worth the wait. read more

The place is fairly cool (it was 105 degress today so i might biased) and has a nice atmosphere. The pricing is average, a little under $4 for a large drink. I got the kiwi aloe vera, since this is the first time I've seen a tea place offer it. The chunks of aloe vera are kinda big but it's as amazing as I hoped it would be. This has been my favorite place to get boba as of late! It reminds me a lot of the big franchise "Kung Fu Tea" because both places allow you to adjust the sweetness and ice to your liking. And if I'm not mistaken, I think they are both Taiwanese. Anyway, my favorite thing to get here is the Jasmine Green Milk Tea with "less" sweetness and golden boba. The golden boba here is so good! It adds the right amount of sweetness to the tea so thats why I get it reduced. Golden boba differs from the black boba in that it's bigger and chewier. Another drink that I've tried and liked is the Signature Milk Tea. Other drinks I've had seems to be too sweet for me. The Matcha green tea is too sweet for me and the Hokkaido milk tea tastes a lot like coffee milk tea. read more

Personally, this is the best Ding Tea location in my area. My drinks always taste really good and refreshing. I usually order a lychee green tea with golden boba, 30% sweetener, and extra ice. Yes! I love a whole lotta ice in my drinks! I don't know how some people go with less ice. My daughter normally gets a jasmine green milk tea with crystal boba and she also agrees that they make her drinks the best here. I've been drinking boba tea for a long time now, and I can really taste the subtle difference from each location. This location is one of the first Ding Tea locations and in my opinion makes the best drinks! I think their service is great as well, they are to the point and pretty quick! My husband and I tried Dingtea for the first time yesterday and we were not disappointed. Delicious and Refreshing! The customer service from Harry and Linh were outstanding, especially because we asked for recommendations and tried the honey milk tea and plum lemon juice - we were soooo pleased with the selection, we ended up buying two more to go (kumquat and aloe kiwi). I feel like I seriously just want to try everything because the quality, price and taste is up to par for my expectation of what makes a good tea (and juice). It took 45 minutes for four people behind the counter to make us 3 teas and what's crazy is that all the tea that they were serving was already pre-brewed and sitting in large dispensers! To be fair they were just a little busy, but in this day and age no matter how busy you are, this long of a wait time when you're in the business of serving only drinks is absurd. 45 minutes is almost enough time to order, eat and pay for a full dinner at a sit-down restaurant. So, the moral of the story is, if you don't mind waiting close to 1 hour for tea, give this place a try! When I finally got my tea it was good, but I've had better. I've been on a boba hunt cause I've had a weird craving for boba lately. So, I hit up Bolsa and found the shop (surrounded by 2 nearby boba places). THE SHOP: Considering it was a Tuesday night, it was actually not too crowded but not dead empty. There were 5 workers and about 2 groups of 3 sitting and lounging. From my wait, I saw a customer come out with a bag of 4 boba cups and a customer came in when I left. The environment isn't a place I would consider as a study area because it had pretty loud music and not enough seating for independent study. If one group were to come in, the store would feel pretty crowded, so it's definitely a pay, get, and go shop. THE BOBA: I asked the guy what their best drinks were since I was a newbie here. He recommended the first 2 on their menu: the signature milk tea and the jasmine green milk tea. The standard price was $3.05 for a regular sized cup and it was 0.50 added if you wanted a large. I also was recommended 'golden boba' with it, which was another 0.50 each. Pretty decent price from where I've been drinking. It was a 5 minute wait for my two drinks, and it was a standard boba drink. It wasn't mind blowing, but it was good. My cup had way too much boba and too little tea. I should've asked for less ice, since I usually like having an even boba to tea ratio. OVERALL: We downed the drink in about 15 minutes, and my mom could sense the honey in the boba.
