My sister and I were desperately craving for a boba run and we were in the area so we decided on Ding Tea. We got a regular lychee yakult with golden boba (I'm not allowed caffeine right now) and a jasmine milk tea. Both drinks were bomb and boba was freshly made. Customer service is superb as well. This is probably one of those boba place that claims to be "Taiwanese tea" but doesn't taste like real brew tea. I got the fruit tea and it taste like green tea extract. The cool thing is the boba. They offer golden boba but too bad it's hard. The price however is very good. $4 for a large plus topping. CHEAP would be the only reason if I were to come back. read more

this place is a typical boba hang out spot for me and i've been here quite often throughout the week. i enjoyed their customer services as it's always outstanding! i recommend getting the taro milk tea or the winter melon because it's the best drink they have at their store. i love how you can adjust the ice level and the sweetness to customized to your own liking. i also love their little takeout bag as well! it adds to the characteristic of this store :) read more

Updating my reviews since other locations has recently opened. I got a chance to try new flavors from Dingtea in Westminster because of their awesome promo on soft opening buy one get one free! I have added two new flavors on my favorite list which is the kumquat lemonade ice tea and matcha latte. I went to Dingtea on Bolsa yesterday with two friends and we ordered signature milk tea, winter-melon milk tea and kumquat lemonade iced tea. Next time I'll come back for matcha latte to compare. Three of us agreed either the staffs were being stingy on the powder or we didn't know better since they were the only store opened at the time. Signature milk tea was too milky less tea this time. The kumquat lemonade is made with real kumquat and thin slices of lemon at Dingtea Westminster, at this location they don't have that except a single dried plum. Fresh is definitely better! Winter melon was good but was also missing winter-melon aroma. We've had better at dingtea Westminster or HB location. Bobas were stable in flavors and textures. I wouldn't say don't come because it might be just wrong person making my boba. But as far as satisfaction, I was disappointed yesterday. read more

This place has been my go to place for my boba fix but after today I don't think I'll ever be back. While waiting for my drinks, I can see the guy making the drinks poke his finger into the drinks so that the ice could go down. That's disgusting and unsanitary. Use a spoon or something not your finger after touching various things. When I mentioned it to the guy who called my number, he didn't even apologize or offer to remake my drinks. I don't know where to start. Before this place I disliked Boba (I don't know how, but I didn't). I had the Passion Fruit Milk Tea and it was AMAZING! It was sweet, but not to sweet, and was just in general delicious. This is probably one of my favorite Boba Places, but I don't live close to any Ding Teas. It's a nice friendly place with excellent service. They also have a rewards program, 10 drinks for one free one. There was also a wide variety of drinks to get. I definitely recommend this place and I hope everyone who goes has the same experience as me. read more

This place makes my fave matcha milk tea and the only ding tea that matches this exact location is the location on goldenest and edinger. The wait here has gotten more ridiculous even though they hired more workers. I literally just ordered and they called number 138 and I'm number 151. my son loves this place. We come here every week and get the cumquat and green tea mango with crystal boba. Not many tea places offer crystal boba. This store is very busy on the weekend so call first and wait about 15 minutes before coming to pick up the drinks. They give you a number if you call on the phone so you just give them the number when you arrive. The green tea is very strong, may keep someone up all night if you are not a caffeine addict. They have point system so if you buy 9 drinks the 10th is half off. read more

But when I came in I was rejected and was told I had to wait. If you guys said something you should keep your words. Their is no policy or rules in this place. The drink is good, the wait is horrible. They need a better system for serving drinks. The person who is the cashier is also the person to hand out the drinks. When it's not busy it is fine, but when the crowds shows up the cashier would be too busy to hand out the drinks. Several occasions when I order a drink it would take at least 15 minute to get it even though it is very clear and visible to see my drinks and others are just sitting behind the counters and waiting for the cashier to hand them out. read more

Their boba is the best in tow. The boba's texture is soft and chewy, the taste is right, not too sweet or plain. The tea are pretty fresh. Nice staffs also. The only thing I don't like is the regular size of the cup. read more

The drinks are super delicious and consistent here! I normally get oolong milk tea 50% sweet with less ice. The service is great and everyone is always very nice. Came in today and got helped by Anh or Anne? She was super nice. I was confused a little about the star reward last time and Anh got all sort it out. Last time I came in with my family, my points were reach to 10 so I supposed to get a free one. The girl asked me if I wanna redeem it, I said sure then I have to pay $1.xx extra. I told her I will save it since I already got bunch of drinks for my family. I thought if it free then I would get it too since I don't go down here in Bolsa that often. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE Ding Tea!!! My favorite place to go get tea boba by far. They specialize in tea flavors like milk teas. I got the Wintermelon Tea with grass jelly and I immediately became OBSESSED!! I can drink literally 14 cups a day. The only thing I wished was that the price would be cheaper. If only the tea was cheap lie 7-Leaves $3.50-3.75 a cup of boba, that would tip it off the edge. I definitely recommend all your friends and family to come to this place to get refreshing boba on a stressful evening. 11/10 would come back tomorrow!!!! read more

First time here and they forgot to put sugar in my drink so it became a plain taste oolong milk tea.

I visited Dingtea as my sister was in search of a black milk tea and had heard great reviews about this place. When we walked inside we were surprised that it was much smaller than we imagined considering its recent growing popularity. I initially wasn't planning on getting anything as I already had my taro milk tea from Almond Haus in the car. My sister ordered her tea, tried to pay and was told that they have a $5 card minimum for both debit and credit cards. They have a signed posted that only alludes to credit cards and my sister was trying to pay with a debit card. My sister let them know that she didn't have any cash on her and was told that they couldn't place her order. While I get that this standard might not be of the cashier's choosing, his delivery and overall customer service was entirely off. His body language exuded impatience and his comments were blunt and uncompromising. He was not apologetic or polite about the situation and despite already having my drink waiting in the car, I couldn't help but try to dispel the awkwardness by ordering another drink so that we could meet their card limit. Most beverages here are under $5 and most people don't carry cash anymore. With these two factors in mind, I'm surprised that they haven't reconsidered their policy. What I did like was that you could choose your level of sweetness by percentage and their various percentages had a wide range. Our drinks arrived shortly after and my sister said her tea was pretty average, and she's had a ton of black milk tea. I thought my taro was pretty average as well and was actually quite lacking in the taro flavor. Needless to say, we likely won't go out of our way to get our milk teas here but were curious about the hype and had to check it out for ourselves. read more

I don't generally have teahouse allegiances. Boba isn't my thing and if I'm going to go to a drink-centric place to get a drink, it's probably going to be a hippy dippy juice bar. However, I've been to Dingtea Bolsa three times now just for the lemon kumquat tea with aloe vera. There is a sugar chart where you can specify how much or little sugar you want in your drink, but they've never asked me to use it. With the kumquat lemon, whatever default level of sugar that is in there is just perfect, so I haven't asked either. read more

I always drive by ding tea and today I thought to my self. Today's the day. I swooped up on the local yelp community just like you folks are reading this right now to see if it's worth the visit. People say their Hokkaido milk tea is the best. I'm a fan of boiling points Hokkaido milk tea but the lines their are too long. So I tried it out here. Definitely not coming back. Either they got our order wrong or the Hokkaido milk tea tastes like iced coffee. Regardless I give it a solid 2 stars considering the pace and customer service was okay. I love how I can control the sweetness and ice level for my drink. Also a plus, I'm able to watch them make my drink! My to-go drink here is the signature milk tea, while their hokkaido milk tea is sometimes a hit-or-miss. Downside is they have a small working space to mix the drink, so sometime the service is a bit slow. I've tried calling in to order my drinks, which saves time if you're in a rush but their phone connection is a bit static/hard to hear. read more
