Horrible service. Scheduled them to come out on a Friday at 12. It was confirmed they would arrive around 12. Well they failed to mention it's a 2 hour time frame. Brandon then went to a different address from where I gave them so he ended up coming around 1:45 or so. He then said I needed a new cartridge, that's fine. Gave me an estimate of $550. I was willing to pay for it but needed a confirmation that was taking longer than expected. So Brandon was going to come back Saturday morning at 9am to finish the job. Well Saturday at 9am comes & Brandon is no where to be seen. I called dispatch and they said he called out sick. I told them I needed someone to come out since I needed it to be fixed by that day because I had someone staying there on Sunday. Well I got the run around from Brandon who then sent me another guy named Anthony. I have no trust in Brandon anymore, so why would I trust this friend/co worker would show up. Beware. I asked two companies for estimates to fix my clogged kitchen sink. Elite's two-man team spent a lot of time inspecting and gave a cost estimate range of $1K to $12K ("possible sewer main replacement"). Affordable Drain sent out one guy who cleared the drain in 20 minutes at a cost of $125. (I just left them a 5-star review.) Elite, it's true that I'm gullible -- I didn't know that if only one sink is clogged, the sewer main isn't the problem -- but my family and friends are much savvier. They believe you tried to take advantage of my naivete. If they're right, you should feel ashamed. read more

Experience was suboptimal. Lack of knowledge and they tried to do unnecessary work to get more money. One of the horrible tenants we evicted decided out of spite to flush a bunch of stuff down the toilet to jam it up before being forced to move out. So I had to call a plumbing company to unclog the toilet that was overflowing with . Elite rooter was running a special of $79, and that is a good deal to unclog toilet. Well, whenever the price is too good to be true, it's normally a bait and switch scheme. The technician came out and told me that the main line was clogged and that it needed to be hydro-jetted which would easily cost $700 or more. Not only was this incorrect: property has old cast iron pipes and can't be hydro-jetted. Luckily, our general contractor was there doing some work and took one look at the situation and said that's not the case, only the toilet is clogged and just to snake that instead. The technician argued with our GC for a couple of minutes and I had to step in to make a decision. The technician did snaked the outside pipe for the section of the toilet, and then snaked the toilet drain from the house and it was all cleared up. Although the price was ALOT more than $79. Definitely do NOT recommend. read more

1 of 2 things are true.... They are either very incompetent plumbers or they're scammers. My kitchen drain was clogged and the local plumber I use was busy all day so I called elite rooter. I am an architect and knew it was just a small problem and just didn't have the right equipment. Elite rooter sent over 2 guys that did absolutely nothing with a snake. Then they said they couldn't get it out bc the backup was just so bad. It was so bad they had to call in their supervisor. An hour later, their supervisor shows up and does nothing except show me with a camera that there is a clog. Instead of trying to get it out he just came in with his fancy video equipment, said they couldn't get it and that I needed them to cut through the wall and replace the whole pipe for $2100! No thanks. They left and i called my usual plumber. He swung by when he was available and unclogged it in 5 minutes! 5 f****g minutes. Unbelievable. I called elite rooter bc I knew it was a small problem and didn't want to waste my whole day. But guess what, bc of their incompetence I ended up wasting my whole day over something that should have taken 5 minutes and tried to scam me into $2100 of unnecessary work. read more

The woman who answered was able to confirm a plumber would be by that same morning and provided me time window and price quote. The plumber who came was Kailib and he was excellent. Kailib texted me when he was on his way, he was very polite, knowledgeable and completed the job all within the timeframe provided on my first call. Can't say enough amazing things - highly HIGHLY recommend. Came home from work to discover raw sewage had exploded out of my tub/toilet and run down the hallway (1920's original wood flooring). The workers are very unprofessional at this company....They came to a building in Compton in May 2023... They cut walls and did work on a unit that was positive for mold while my family still lived in unit... They also did illegal work without pulling proper permits etc... The entire building has been shut down by Compton City due to the illegal modifications and work performed without the proper documents needed to perform the work... Attached is the last citation from the city enlisting the conditions of the unit and work that was done... My family was illegally forced out of home due to work being done and while living there due to air quality and living conditions... If you looking to have work done illegally without permits and proper documentation then elite rooter is the place for you... I'm forced to put a star on this in order for Yelp to be able to publish my review. I assume my relationship with this company is over, becasue theey won't call or come back to complete the "job" they did on me. Here it is in a nutshell. I requested their services for fixing a blockage in my septic system pipes and to install my new pumps and a new sewage ejection control panel. I told the supervisor that I would buy their control panel, but asked if I could provide the pumps from my contact at Northern Tool, to which they agreed. They proceeded to charge me $6,000 for two guys to dig out a six-foot hole to replace a worn clean-out (took one guy one day), $3,000 to replace a T-Section of PVC pipe (took one guy a day) and then quoted me $1,500 to install my two new pumps and another $1,750 to install the control panel. Look, I know we're in the middle of the highest inflationary rates for the last 20 years, but this was usurious. An incredible markup of expenses. I complained to the supervisor Dion. He sent my request to the District Manager Grayson to complete this job. None of my calls were returned. Here's what I'm left with. A job half done and a company who has abandoned their responsibility. My septic system is currently overflowing into the drain pipe that goes into my backyard! Talk about a health hazard!!!! If Yelp had zero stars option, I would have picked that option! After all the rain here in San Diego, I noticed that two of the area drains on the outside of the house are overflowing. I yelped and found Elite rooters. They were pretty fast in getting back to me and said they can come the same day (that was the highlight, everything went downhill from there). First person who came spent more than 1 hour walking around thinking what he can do , he did simple snakes it didn't work and said hydrojetting should solve this and they can send camera down the pipe to see where the issue is. He throw some $1400 number , I said thats expensive, then he said $1000 ( I should have known better). I agreed to this, he said he will come back in 1 hour with the equipment. He came back in 2 hours and 2 other people. They started hydrojetting, it didn't work, the boss said he won't send the camera down the pipe (it might get stuck). the other guy let go off the hose , it hit our wall and damage the stucco..2 hours later , they got some sand out of the pipe but still blocked. Around 4:30pm , they wrapped up. He said he will come back "tomorrow" to fix the stucco and send the camera down the pipe to see where the pipe is broken. Tomorrow became Wednesday, Thursday he called it would be Friday, Friday he called it would be Monday and then he showed up on Tuesday (when I was at work). He "fixed" the stucco (see the pictures, what a joke). Next day, I get a call from their office to collect payment. I told them I won't till I talk to the supervisor. Supervisor came, he said he won't send the camera, but he is willing to charge me only "$2500" to cut 3 feet of concrete and see where the pipe is broken (what a joke). I asked him does he even know the pipe is under that part of concrete and he said "it should be". he then said "hydrojetting works 50% of time". This is where I lost it, why would they recommend a service that works 50% of time and from the beginning it seems they were not making any progress. $900 paid , I am where I am started. so unfortunately despite a decent initial experience, elite rooter has had terrible follow up and service for their work. Very difficult to reach, not returning contacts, not taking responsibility for their work. They didnt do a good job refilling the hole where the replaced pipes/sewer line was. Now theres a sink hole there and a big space in my front yard. They havent been willing to come address that, to check their work so that there isnt any damage and to refill the hole. After thousands of dollars of work replacing pipes and sewer line, we still had a clog and no better answers from them why that would be. This has been going on for months and just cant be a good way to do business. read more

My wife found Elite Rooter thru ThumbTack app. We needed a toilet replaced (already had the new one ready to go). The angle stop needed to be replaced too (didn't cut the water 100%), along with probably the supply line at the same time since the toilet was already going to be removed. The tech (Luis) got here when he said he would, and was very nice. Unfortunately, he quoted me a price of $500 just to swap out the toilet, and $129 (included the part) to change out the angle stop. I hope this review gets the attention of the owner because even asking the office for a manager has led to no reply . A clogged sewer pipe led to a complete renovation of our bathroom. The plumber Robert promised to get us the plumbers report after we paid upfront so that we could submit and get reimbursed by our insurance. Elite Rooter sent someone over who uncloged my toilet. By the next day, the toilet would not flush again and I contacted them to ask to please send the gentleman back over to do the job correctly. That started a string of phone calls and promises that someone would be sent over, but each day at the end of the day they somehow couldn't make it. After a week of this, I told them if they couldn't get the guy over by the following Monday I wanted a refund. A very nice young lady named Rachelle assured me that it shouldn't be a problem and that refund checks are done on Thursdays. Come that following Monday I got a phone call from a very rude young lady named Sarah, who informed me that no one could make it over She also told me they wanted to send over the guy who done it in the first place, but he could not come over because he had a gash in his leg and was allergic to my cats. So began a discussion of why he petted my cats and acted like he liked them if he was allergic. Her response was that she's known him for two years. He was allergic to cats and that their plumbers do things like that because they want to make the customer happy. This customer (me) was not happy because after a week and a half I still had a toilet that wouldn't flush. Now we're at the next Monday and I called to see how my refund was going. I was told that the information would be sent to accounting and they would get back to me to let me know what was going on. Of course, nobody's gotten back to me I would like my $79 back. read more

Had these guys come to clear a clog in the kitchen sink drain. Then decided to have all the drains water jetted. They removed and reinstalled all our toilets to do this. The next day we had water coming out of our ceiling. One of the toilet drains from upstairs was leaking underneath the floor and coming out downstairs. We called them back but they were closed so I left a message (still haven't heard from them months later). Then I called an emergency plumbing service through my insurance. They found that the upstairs toilet was reinstalled with an old wax seal which caused the leak. The plumbers left for lunch for about 3 hours and mentioned they had to go to several different stores to buy more wax seals. I guess they didn't end up finding enough. As for the actual water jetting, they used a machine that was leaking all over the place and made a huge mess in my house. read more

Last weekend after only a slight rain my patio drain clogged and there was standing water and mud everywhere. I called Elite Rooter and they promptly responded the next day. After assessing the situation, it was determined that the drain leading from the backyard through the patio to the curb needed to be hydro-jetted. The next day James and Stephen, Elite's senior technicians, worked diligently hydro-jetting the drain all day to no avail. Although they retrieved a massive amount of dead tree root that had clogged the drain there were still massive amounts remaining in the drain that proved to be impenetrable. Moreover, the drain was old and threatened to disintegrate anyway. My home is almost 30 years old. The next day a member of Elite's management team, Mark, came out to the review the situation and it was determined that the old drain needed to be abandoned and that a new drain system needed to be installed from the back to the front yard--a distance of 120 feet. After Mark explained my options, I elected to have the new drain system installed under my lawn rather than under the concrete where the old drain existed. Over a 4-day period Stephen and James worked diligently to construct my new drain system using ABS pipe. They worked tirelessly and with meticulous precision to excavate portions of my back and front yard in order to install the pipe. As they lifted the sod and laid the pipe they carefully replaced the sod at each step of the way, keeping my lawn fully intact. Although there were unforeseen obstacles along the way involving massive amounts impenetrable dead tree trunk, James and Stephen were not deterred and worked tirelessly to successfully complete the job. Elite Rooter is not inexpensive. Nonetheless, I would give the company 10 stars if I could. James and Stephen were the consummate professionals. They were reliable, always on time, friendly, courteous, and consistently caring. They worked tirelessly, making me feel like resolution of my drain issue was of utmost importance to them. I am very pleased with the end result. James and Stephen not only successfully installed my new drain system, but they were careful to make sure everything was clean upon job completion. To my pure delight, they pressure washed both the back and front patios, leaving everything quite pristine. I highly, highly recommend Elite Rooter. Nice guy shows up, says, "there's no clear out valve...have to go to the roof.. it's a big job." Price went from 79 to over 500.
