    Buddha bowl with chicken
    Nikki S.

This is my second time going to Elixir. Their food is really delicious! The first time I had a Thai Buddha bowl. It was so good, a tiny bit spicier than I'd hoped but still so good! When we went today I had a Tikka Masala bowl. I am SO glad I chose that. I added chicken, and it was fantastic! The sweet staff shared that it is a special bowl they don't always have, so I'm Especially glad I got it. The staff was really sweet and it's a great choice for a quick lunch! My only negative is that it's pricey. I would go there more if the prices were more reasonable. I understand the prices reflect the quality of food, so I understand, but a bit more than a teacher can afford regularly!!

Elixir has been suggestioned by yelp a few times as "since you like gluten free" and "since you like healthy options" so since I had time on my most recent Reno trip, I decided to stop in. Ok, now I'm sad I've waited so long! First of all, the location it's has on site parking, hard to find this close to downtown! The spaces are limited but wide open when I arrived around 130pm on a Saturday. Inside it's bright and clean feeling. Plenty of people working and ready to help you. Also, the whole menu is gluten free which honestly made me overwhelmed with choices! What do you mean I can have ANYTHING on the menu??? Honestly, I had come in for an acai bowl which I did order. But I also ended up getting the teriyaki bowl and added chicken. They offered alternatives for each item that I asked to remove something which left me pleasantly surprised. The acai bowl was awesome and actually REALLY big. Again, very surprised. The teriyaki bowl is a 4.3 out of 5 for me. The teriyaki sauce was just a bit too sweet for my liking but everything in the bowl was perfect. Veggies were fresh and crisp, chicken was nicely prepared and all breat meat, the brown rice was done perfectly. Elixir will definitely be a new place for me to stop when in Reno especially when I'm looking for fresh, minimally messed with food. Btw, if you like another Reno garden named restaurant, you'll likely enjoy Elixir too!

It's good. It's pricey but that's the health food way. Felt weird about my cold beef on top of my bowl. Also, I had a rude encounter with a sassy employee who seemed to be clocking in and they had an attitude with me even though they had nothing to do with the entire transaction. Has both indoor and outdoor seating. Lots of food options and juice/beverages. It's good for a healthy pick me up and a quick lunch idea.

I placed an order online and picked up later that morning. I was told by staff that for a juice cleanse, they prefer the order to be placed on the phone to ensure they have staff available and all ingredients to make the cleanse. However, they did it for me on short notice! Great customer service. When I went to pick up my order, the guy at the counter gave me a quick rundown. He said the day before a cleanse it is best to "eat healthy." My juices were conveniently numbered in the order I needed to drink them in. The juices were made with love and my experience with the cleanse was very positive ! Though I felt hungry in the afternoon, I never felt like I couldn't do it. My favorite juices were the celery juice and the carrot juice. I definitely will be adding a juice cleanse to my routine but will make sure and order appropriately next time.

I am impressed with this place. Great, fresh and beautifully presented food. I got the strawberry pro. Light and delicious. The lady at the counter was so sweet and polite. Recommend stopping by this place if you're in the area.

Love Potion that made you question about love.

The drinks are so expensive. We ordered this mint thing and love potion, and it costs us $26! Yikes! As soon as I sipped my Love Potion drink, I started questioning love. Love Potion is too creamy, thick, heavy, rich and it tasted fishy. They are not enticing at all, and won't fall in love with it. My husband said, it tasted like drinking a wet cement. The ambiance is clean and the service is good. It's nice that they have all utensils made of paper, good for the environment -- but I will not go back, it's so expensive! It's like $12 to $13 per drink! I can make that at home. No thank you.

Favorite of mine no matter the location! Power monkey is the go to- delicious and filling! Always fresh ingredients and a go to that doesn't feel bad on the go.

The drinks were great and creamy. I do wish they offered more milk substitution options since they currently only have coconut milk/water and almond milk. However, I love that it's gluten-free. organic, clean ingredients, no preservatives, or refined sugars, which really sets them apart from the others. The staff is kind and patient and the inside is nice.

This place is just spectacular! I wish I could take this whole place home with me! But I am so glad it's here in the heart of downtown. Sometimes you just need to treat yourself right. The staff is so kind and thoughtful, ghe ambiance is great, and the portions are generous! Try the Açaí bowl or any of their salads.

    Poke bowl

I've heard of this place for a while and finally stopped by to order some takeout for lunch! I went with the dragon smoothie bowl and my husband got the poke bowl. The smoothie bowl was a fun hot pink/purple color and came with a generous portion, I saved some of it for the following day. I liked that it was topped with some fresh fruit and granola too. The poke bowl was the only "rice bowl" option that came with protein already on it. Most of these dishes were $15-18 but would cost another $4-6 to add a protein. The quality of the food was high, but so were the prices! I think this place is great for people who are willing to pay more than average for a lunch that is a healthier option and leaves you feeling full. However, it's not going to be a place that people will return to if they want an affordable lunch spot. The staff were really nice and friendly, they even gave me a free lemon ginger drink that was never picked up. I probably won't be coming here very often because I prefer more affordable prices for lunch, but still giving 4 stars because of the freshness and healthy selections they have!

My power monkey peanut butter smoothie was silky and delicious! Love all the healthy ingredients and the pea vegan protein as the default! It kept me full and fueled for the remainder of a 30 mile bike ride. Sometimes peanut butter smoothies can have a chalky powdery taste to them but this one was super smooth and nice! Not too overpowering and not too sweet. Will come back to try other flavors!

Teriyaki bowl with added chicken & avocado

Nice find one Sunday afternoon while downtown 100% gluten free place to have some yummy food I got the teriyaki bowl - added chicken & avocado I was super excited to try since when do I get to order a teriyaki anything on the menu as a g/f person??? The ingredients were fresh, the sauce decent, the customer service great!

I recently stopped by Elixir with my daughter for a smoothie. I was pleasantly surprised. This place has a super chill vibe and it has that relaxing, health-focused feel to it. The space is open with a lot of superfood pictures. One of the best surprises is the parking! If you've ever been to Midtown, you now parking can be a hassle, but Elixir shares a parking lot right behind the cafe, making things super easy. We ordered at the counter and the service was quick and friendly. I went with the Happy Belly Smoothie which consisted of blueberry, banana, spinach, flaxseed, almond butter, protein powder and almond milk. It was heaven in a cup! So creamy and delicious! My daughter tried the Love Potion, and it was just as good. It had Medjool dates, mango, maca root, chia seeds, ginger and coconut milk. It was creamy, slightly spicy from the ginger and super refreshing. We also shared a warm build your own bowl with brown rice, broccoli, sweet potato, cilantro, and chicken breast, drizzled with a savory teriyaki sauce. Totally hit the spot. I'm already looking forward to trying more things on the menu next time. Elixir is definitely a new favorite for healthy, tasty eating!

When visiting Reno, I highly encourage anyone that is looking for a delightful and relaxing lunch…read morespot to definitely check out "Süp". Located directly on S. Virginia St and adjacent to St. Lawrence Ave in the heart of the Midtown neighborhood of Reno, Süp has served up delicious and healthy sandwiches, salads, and soups dating back to 2007. This place has been on my radar for quite some time and I finally got to experience what it was all about. Since this is in a fairly busy commercial part of town, it can be a bit tricky to find parking. However, we were able to park only a block away and this was during the afternoon on Thursday 7/2/2026 at around 12:15pm. After making the short way to the business, I absolutely loved the exterior aesthetics and layout were represented. The business itself mimics a house complete with a large front patio area that actually snakes around to the side of the house for the more comfortable Reno days. The wooden tables with plastic chairs and covered tents to shield off the sun were a very nice touch. The inside also offers very generous indoor seating complete with ample space for a single person, a couple, or a family. Their menu are digitally presented on LED TVs complete with some of their specials that are handwritten on a chalkboard. My lady and I both decided to order sandwiches to get our fuel and energy for the day. I went with their "Char-Grilled Steak Baguette"; this came complete with their bistro steak drizzled with chimichurri sauce and topped with caramelized onions, New York white cheddar & sharp cheddar cheese and served on a cheddar poppy seed baguette. My lady went with their "Reno Deli"; this offered salami, pepperoncini & pesto layered with spinach, tomatoes, provolone cheese, and aioli on toasted sourdough bread. Both of our sandwiches came with a side house salad. Once given our number (we got Tahoe St), we decided to sit outside and take full advantage of the weather (as it was a perfect 78°F). What I particularly like is that the ambiance is the perfect vibe for daydreaming, people watching, and enjoying the simplicity that a city like Reno offers. Both our sandwiches arrived in roughly 10 minutes and were presented on white porcelain plates. My sandwich was made to perfection as the cheddar baguette securely held the fillings quite nicely. There was a lot of seasoned steak as the other sauces were not too overpowering. And considering the size of this, it got me quite full as I wasn't hungry until much later in the day. I will say that if you're looking for a reputable small business that offers healthy fresh ingredients, excellent customer service, amazing ambiance in a very desirable area of Reno, I highly recommend giving "Süp" a try. Their selection of salads, sandwiches, bowls, and soups are all wonderful choices as they focus on farm-fresh ingredients. And if time allows, I highly encourage everyone to eat here as I felt right at home during my 45-minute stay. Keep in mind that they are closed on Sunday but are open Monday through Saturday from 11am-9pm. With that said and done, I am giving Süp a perfect five-star review.

When we arrived, we were seated immediately, which was a great start. The restaurant was busy, but no busier than many other places we've visited. After being seated, however, we waited... and waited... and waited for someone to even acknowledge us. Nothing. During that time, we watched our server attend to several other tables, clear dishes, grab items, and process payments. We also noticed two employees standing near the register. One of them looked over at our table multiple times, so it was obvious they knew we were there. Still, no one came over to greet us or let us know someone would be with us shortly. As we looked around, we realized we were the only Asian family in the restaurant. Whether intentional or not, it left us feeling overlooked, uncomfortable, and wondering if we were being treated differently. It was an awful feeling. Eventually, our server came to our table but never apologized for the long wait or acknowledged that we'd been sitting there unattended. By then, the experience had already left a bad impression. I was there with my husband and our three boys, and it was difficult trying to explain why we seemed to be the only table being ignored. Will we come back? NO I'm sure this restaurant has plenty of customers and won't miss one family, but every guest deserves to feel welcomed and valued. A simple greeting or apology would have gone a long way. As for the food, it was good. But good food alone doesn't make up for poor service or for making guests feel like they don't belong. Dining out is about the entire experience, and unfortunately, ours was overwhelmingly disappointing. I'm typically a very generous tipper because I appreciate good service. However, when a restaurant makes my family feel out of place and overlooked, it's hard to justify leaving anything. Respect and hospitality should be extended to every customer.

There was a list of specials for the day too. - For a place that has "wine" in the name, I thought the wine list was a bit limited/uninspired...the reds, for example, were heavily focused on CA wines, with a few Italian ones thrown in. - My wife and I ordered the Bee Sting Pizza, the Pistachio Pesto Arancini, and the Wedge Salad...all to share between the two of us. While everything was good, the Wedge Salad was the standout, with the Arancini's a close second (and a great sized portion). One of our friends ordered the Salmon special, and it looked good but pretty small in size considering the ~$40 price tag. - Service was good. There was a mess up where the server didn't hear our friend's order correctly and brought the wrong item, but she fixed it although it meant that he didn't his food for a while after the rest of us started eating. It was an honest error, but it would be good if the staff were empowered to do some kind of goodwill gesture, e.g., a free drink, a free appetizer while he's waiting for the food, etc., when something like that happens. - There was a weird thing that happened on our bills...the total that was on the itemized bill that we got from our server didn't match up with the pre-transaction processing fee total that was on our credit card copy...and, unfortunately, our server couldn't explain why. And, yes, there is a 2.5% credit card transaction fee added on (which we didn't see on the menu or anywhere else, but we learned about when we got the itemized bill). - Vibe is just ok...it's pretty loud and the tile floor and tables/chairs felt a little cafeteria-like. I wouldn't call it cozy by any means. Bottom line: Liberty Food & Wine Exchange was a nice place to meet up and the food was tasty...when I asked my wife if she would go back again, her answer was that we should try other places first, which is probably what we'll do.

We had to feed a crowd at home recently and Middle Eastern cuisine suited everyone's fancy, so naturally Aladdin's was the call. Using the online ordering system was simple, and the food was ready right on time. My only feedback is that the items don't all clearly describe what you get or how the dish comes, and so I added sauces thinking they came on the side but really came on top, and paid upcharges for things like pita, thinking they didn't come with it but then finding out they did and I just added a lot of extra. I ordered a few shawarma plates, an Aladdin combo, and hummus, falafel, and babaganoush appetizers. Everything was delicious, but some items were a bit surprising. The hummus is was a bit on the loose side, and we actually thought it was tahini from the look, aroma, and flavor. My guess is the batch was made with a bit more tahini than normal. Still good, but surprising. The Aladdin's Combo didn't look as pictured on the website, where it looks like a very sizable portion of meat, with chicken in a reddish marinade. Though the chicken looked similar to shawarma, it was clearly different in flavor, and both it and the koobideh were delicious. I ordered extra meat and had expected it to be outrageously large based on the menu photo of the standard order, but what came was more similar to the photo itself. It was still plenty to share, but I paid additional and didn't seem like I got that much more. The regular portions here are large, like easily feed two people sized. We ordered one plate per person, but in reality could've split them all. Again, I love this spot and chalk this up to learning. I think some folks could get frustrated with this experience, and I def did to an extent, but I enjoy this too much to gripe.

We were not disappointed! Here are a few things to know: - In addition to selling Mediterranean groceries, you can order at the register and there are several small tables so you can sit and eat. - I ordered the Gyro Sandwich, and my wife ordered the Chicken Shawarma Sandwich. Both were really good, and quite large...I, of course, polished my entire sandwich off and my wife took half home for later. - We've bought Greek cheeses, olives, bulghur, and spices at Aladdin's, both this time and in the past. It's the only place to find some of the things I need, and the prices are better on some things than even Amazon. - Service was really great. The person working let me wait to pay until after I had finished my grocery shopping, and she brought our food out to our table pretty quickly. Bottom line: Aladdin's is a go-to place for us...next time, we'll probably go again at a time which would let us enjoy lunch at the same time.

The riverside setting made for a relaxing atmosphere and was a great place to spend a summer afternoon. We started with the Crab & Salmon Cakes, and they were outstanding. The presentation was beautiful, and each cake had a perfectly crisp exterior while remaining delicate inside. You could clearly taste both the crab and salmon, and the slightly spicy aioli complemented them perfectly without overpowering the seafood. For cocktails, I ordered the Tequila Mockingbird, and it was excellent. The mezcal's smoky flavor came through clearly, almost reminding me of a good Scotch, yet it had just enough sweetness to keep it balanced. If you enjoy spirit-forward cocktails that aren't overly sweet, I'd highly recommend it. My wife ordered the Razz Jazz and later the Rosé All Day. She loved the Razz Jazz, describing it as refreshing, lightly sweet, and lemony, with enough alcohol flavor to remind you it's a cocktail without being overpowering. The Rosé All Day was another refreshing choice and perfect for a warm afternoon on the patio. For lunch, we ordered the French Dip and the Tri-Tip Sandwich. The French Dip was tender, flavorful, and paired perfectly with the rich au jus. The Tri-Tip Sandwich was loaded with smoky, well-seasoned beef on fresh bread. It was a bit richer than I personally prefer, but the quality of the meat was undeniable. The fries were a standout in their own right, perfectly crispy on the outside, fluffy inside, and seasoned just right. Wild River Grille isn't the least expensive lunch in town, but the quality of the food, expertly crafted cocktails, attentive service, and beautiful riverside patio made it feel well worth the price. We'll definitely be back.

I originally made an appointment for 5:00 and was told that my reservation was at 5:30. I was able to go back and confirm that the l did in fact made it for 5. None the less they did still seat us. The inside was quite empty or so I thought and they sat us all the way in the back on the side that there were no other guests. We sat for about 10 minutes before another group was sat at the front by the door and then once that group got their waiter so did we. Apparently the waiter was also the bartender and the hostess did not notify her that we were there nor did she take a look. I ordered a burger well done which was was medium well when it got to me. I did have to sent it back and unfortunately due to the service etc. I decided to just pay for our drinks and leave. This was an unfortunate first impression, maybe I will try again and sit outside and hopefully get a better experience.
