Good BBQ Place in Las Vegas! We visited on a weekend evening and only had a short wait before being seated. The restaurant is located inside Ellis Island Hotel and Casino, and they offer free parking in the garage, which is very convenient. The service was fast, and the food portions were huge. I especially loved their fried items--the fish & chips and fried chicken were both crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The ribs and burger were decent as well. Overall, it's a solid BBQ spot with generous portions and good value, especially if you're looking for a casual meal in Las Vegas.

Solid fried chicken and other average american food in a corner of a low scale smokey casino. Rating 6/10 Price for 5ppl $120 after tip. Pros: Free parking, affordable, good chicken breading. Cons: Slower service, terrible vibes except form good size TVs, okay food.

Went with a large group on a Thursday after work and we were seated right away. Most of us ordered from the barbecue menu or went with the prime rib, and everything was honestly really good. The portions are huge - definitely come hungry or be ready to share. I ordered the Half Rack & Half BBQ Chicken, which was delicious. The ribs practically fell off the bone. I also ordered a side of broccoli, which took a while to arrive. The atmosphere is super casual and fun, perfect for a laid-back group dinner. Overall, a great spot if you're looking for solid food and a no-frills, lively vibe.

Ellis Island BBQ delivers exactly what it sets out to be: a great budget meal that will fill you up. If you're looking to feed a family decent food on a budget, this is your spot. Quantity over quality is the operative phrase here. The portions are generous and the prices are very reasonable, which makes it a winner when the goal is simply satisfying hunger without draining the wallet. Now, for those who are serious about their smoked meats, real pit masters or folks familiar with authentic, slow-smoked BBQ might be a little offended at calling this "BBQ." I don't mean this in a negative way, but it's important to set expectations. The quality of the meat and the smoke profile lands somewhere on the spectrum between what you might get at Chili's and something from Old Country Buffet. It's serviceable, it's hearty, and it definitely gets the job done if the job is just filling you up. This isn't a foodie destination, and it's certainly not the kind of BBQ you drive miles out of your way for. While the food accomplished the goal of filling me up, I probably wouldn't return simply because I'd opt for higher quality BBQ if I were going out specifically for it. On the positive side, service was solid and efficient. Overall: Come here when you need to feed a crowd for cheap and just want something decent. Skip it if you're looking for true, smoke-ring-laden barbecue artistry. 3.3 stars for executing its mission as an excellent budget meal.

When it comes to a good deal near The Strip, Ellis Island's BBQ is one of them. Make sure you get a player's card for the discount. The plate is big with plenty to fill you up. I definitely have my faves as far as BBQ in town, but Ellis' ribs were very tender and the sauce was good. This is a solid BBQ place! The service is pretty good and as you would expect, BBQ items are already made so from the time you order to when you get your plate is relatively fast. All in all, this is a no frills place but it definitely has the qualities to fill you up, make you happy, and not break the bank.

Best in Vegas! Good price! Prompt service Delicious full slab of pork ribs ! Draft beer is excellent !

Full rack for like ten bucks with the 50% off for locals deal!

You simply can't beat 50% for locals from 4-7pm Monday through Thursday! We arrived at 350pm and took our place in line at the cafe (where the BBQ is currently being served due to construction). The line went super fast, we were seated by 4pm. Ellis Island has always had the best rib deal in town. Under $20 with a players card for s full rack and tons of sides! Today, the sides left a little to be desired as the coleslaw was very mayo forward, the bread was so so, baked beans very sauce heavy, and corn a bit soggy and it STILL was a great deal for the money. The ribs weren't quite as good as I remembered as they were a little fatty and perhaps undercooked. Still very solid for the price. They've also seemingly started putting less sauce on the ribs and instead bring 2 extra sauce containers to the table. We also added a side of steak fries whcih were very good and even better with malt vinegar. My wife had the in house made root beer which she liked. As an aside I love the cups here! They are big, which is nice for a big iced tea drinker like me. There is a pretty big dining room in the cafe but after around 4:15pm there was a wait.

We arrived at a time before it got busy. By the time we left, there was a line waiting to get in. We had the fish n chip (excellent choice). Crispy battered fish and good fries. A bowl of French onion soup. Soup was delicious. It had a bit too much cheese on top for my liking. Ate about 1/2. Found it to be too salty for myself. We had a half rack of ribs for one and a full rack of ribs for another person. Both came with bread and mini corn on the cobs, Cole slaw and baked beans. Ribs were fall off the bone tender. Very delicious. Waiter was prompt to check on us. The restaurant itself was very clean and inviting. Would definitely return.

Outstanding! It was busy, but service was fast. The food was amazing and we can't wait to go back. Pros: * Delicious food; both the BBQ Chicken & ribs were great. * Fast service * Clean restaurant Cons: *N/A Extra: * We had to go on the waitlist because it was so busy, but they text you when your table is ready, so it was super easy. * We visited during the renovation, so the BBQ place was inside the village pub. It was still super easy to order. * Get the player's card for discounts off!

Players Club Card gets you a discount! Such a great deal!

The casino floor of Ellis Island is under some pretty major renovations and the BBQ spot has closed (it's now a room of slots) but the full menu is still available at the Village Pub & Cafe here. Not sure if this is temporary or a permanent situation but I was happy to find that the BBQ deal is still available! The amazing same day "spend $5, save $5" deal is still available as long as your gambling activity shows in your casino loyalty account.

Ellis Island barbecue is a local favorite. Although they have a lot of construction going on, there's still plenty of parking outside or in the parking structure. It's been several years since I've had their baby back ribs so I had to stop in for a rack and their Amber ale, one of their micro brews. I didn't have to wait at all to be seated and was able to place my order in under five minutes. The inside dining area is huge. This is barbecued baby back ribs, not smoked baby back ribs. The meat falls off the bone and their barbecue sauce is a sweet and mild spice flavor. Their amber ale is a good brew and the prices are very fair. For the price this is a good place for barbecued baby back ribs and a good ale. Service generally is very good. Enjoy.

They look good but they clearly are not smoked or even slow cooked.

I'm a very big BBQ guy. I finally made it to Ellis Island and had the full slab of ribs. Not a fan as they seemed boiled rather than slow-cooked (or smoked). Next time, I'll get the Prime Rib.

3.5 stars Service: good, not overly attentive Ambiance: casual Food: a solid 3.5 stars. Decent bbq, and at an even better price. Beans are good, but the other sides are a miss. Cons: Frozen corn, the bread isn't toasted, and the cole slaw is heavy on the mayo, and I mean SATURATED. Overall, we will be back, and understand we get what we paid for. It's good for when you have a taste for bbq and want it to be affordable.

The food is delicious, portions are massive, and the décor is pure retro Vegas perfection. We loved the warm lighting, over-the-top ambiance, and friendly staff. Why wait? When you can hit the lounge! It's the kind of place that feels like a trip back in time, in the best way possible. Definitely adding this to our list of Vegas favorites.

It's Peppermill! What's not to love?…read more If you choose to eat in the main dining room, make sure you at least take a look around the fireside lounge before you leave. It's lovely! I've heard you can spot Nicolas Cage here sometimes if you're here in the absolute middle of the night, but that's way past my bedtime so I can't confirm. Like I said... what's not to love!? Free parking, generous daily happy hour even on weekends, beautiful retro ambiance, great place to take pictures, and really good diner food with a great selection all day long. The only thing that bummed me out (but not even enough to take off a star) is that last time I went to Peppermill -- a couple weeks ago for my birthday -- my group kept trying to order drinks before the happy hour ended but the cocktail server kept skipping right past our table on her rounds. By the time she got to us, 25 minutes later, the happy hour was over and she said she couldn't honor the price as a courtesy. So that kinda bummed us all out a little bit, but we still had a good time and enjoyed the food and the ambiance.

I definitely recommend making an online reservation ahead of time. We did, and everything went smoothly when we arrived. We were fortunate enough to get a great view of the Strip, which made the experience even better. The staff was friendly, attentive, and on point throughout our visit. Our group of four had a good experience from start to finish. The Sunday brunch is $55 per person, which includes the food and non-alcoholic drinks. There's also an optional $25 all-you-can-drink adult beverage package for those looking to make it more of a boozy brunch. For the Strip location, what's included, and the overall experience, I think that's a pretty reasonable price point. The food was good, and all four of us were happy with our meals. Nothing disappointed us, and the combination of the food, service, atmosphere, and Strip views made for a nice Sunday brunch. We were celebrating both a birthday and an anniversary, and the staff did acknowledge both occasions, which we appreciated. My only suggestion would be to take the celebration one small step further. A complimentary dessert, small cake, or another little celebratory touch would have been a nice detail. Not expected or required, but those small gestures can really elevate a special occasion and make it more memorable. Overall, four happy guests. Good food, friendly service, a great Strip view, and a brunch price that feels reasonable for Las Vegas. If you're considering Buddy V for Sunday brunch, make that online reservation, grab a table with a view if you can, and enjoy the experience. Would I return? Absolutely
